Title: Repair Technician
Location: West Columbia, SC
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Pay: $30-$32/hr

We are seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our operations team. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, rework, and repair of electronic assemblies, PCBAs, wiring harnesses, and mechanical components to restore units to full functional condition. All work must meet IPC standards, customer requirements, and ESD-safe handling practices.
Job Duties:
- Perform diagnostics, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Execute component-level and board-level rework in accordance with IPC-7711/7721 standards.
- Perform soldering, de-soldering, component replacement, wiring, and mechanical assembly per work instructions.
- Inspect and rework PCBAs, connectors, wiring harnesses, and solder joints to IPC Class 2 and 3 standards.
- Operate diagnostic and test equipment including oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, microscopes, and programmable auto-testers.
- Use soldering stations, hot-air rework tools, hand tools, and ESD-safe equipment.
- Identify nonconforming conditions and apply corrective actions aligned with quality and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate job tracking, component usage records, and part traceability documentation.
- Pick components, prepare repair/rework kits, and support part verification processes.
- Ensure proper material handling and ESD-compliant storage practices.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to report defects, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Assist and train coworkers as needed and provide feedback on product or process improvements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree, military, or vocational training preferred.
- 6+ years of electronics repair or rework experience
- Strong experience with PCBAs, component-level repair, and IPC workmanship standards.
- IPC-A-610 and/or Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certification required
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical work instructions.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, soldering, and ESD-safe practices.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and quality standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive or detailed manual work.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork in a production environment.

* Job Description Perform diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures as defined in the Respiratory Care Services scope of clinical practice.
Work performed in accordance with physician orders.
Defined duties are performed in neonatal and pediatric patient populations.
Duties and responsibilities Administer oxygen, aerosolized medication via Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing ( IPPB), Intermittent Aerosol Therapy (IAT) and Metered Dose Inhaler ( MDI) and incentive breathing devices.
Perform nasotracheal and artificial airway suctioning, CPR and bag- mask ventilation, pulse oximetry monitoring, arterial blood gas punctures and bedside pulmonary mechanics.
Diagnostic cardiopulmonary procedures, pulmonary function studies, EKGs and cardiac monitoring.
Assure correct set-up, safety and function of all equipment/ supplies necessary in the provision of patient care.
Assure adherence to all infectious disease standards in the delivery of all patient care procedures.
Understands pharmacological indications, dosages and response to adverse drug reactions.
Provides education to patients, families, physicians, nursing and other members of the health care team.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Required Qualifications at this Level Education RCP Completion of AMA 2 approved year Associates Degree, or the equivalent program.
RCP Advanced Completion of a 2 year AMA approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree or the equivalent).
Must maintain annual skill maintenance requirements Must maintain annual safety/compliance requirements Must maintain North Carolina annual license requirements for CEUs Experience RCP None required RCP Advanced Six months to one year of clinical experience following graduation from a respiratory care program.
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification RCP North Carolina State Licensure or North Carolina State Provisional License, Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
If CRT, must obtain RRT within 6 months of employment Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and any other applicable certifications applicable to the institution.
RCP Advanced North Carolina State Licensure Registry ( RRT) by the National Association for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRPS) if applicable to institution Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge necessary to make appropriate clinical decisions and interactions relative to the specific age of a patient.
Skills validation/certifications of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.
Must maintain annual skill and safety/compliance requirements Must maintain North Carolina annual license requirements for CEU's Customer service and communication expertise.
Work involves contact with patients of all ages, family members, physicians, nursing, and all other members of the health care team.
Work is performed in all areas of the hospital.
Required to carry emergency airway bag weighing approximately 20 pounds.

The workers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.
This classification is represented by IBEW Local 1245, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E. The workers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.
This classification is represented by IBEW Local 1245, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E. A coworker who has the qualifications of a Cable Splicer, is familiar with the underground system and has the experience and ability to analyze cable and equipment troubles quickly and to restore services promptly by replacing fuses, switching, disconnecting defective cables or apparatus, making repairs, etcetera. May be required to perform other underground work such us preparing cable racks, pulling in and racking cables, maintaining equipment in the underground system, etc. Shall install and maintain services, meters, and equipment including conduit and wiring up to the meter on customers' premises and shall handle trouble in such installations. Drives a truck and operates the associated equipment as assigned. Background of apprenticeship and experience must be such as to qualify an employee to perform these duties with skill and efficiency. This position may be subject to Joint Apprentice Training Committee (JATC) review and approval. Provisional hires will be required to participate in targeted training to achieve journey-level knowledge of electrical technician roles and responsibilities.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $67.58 per hour. The wage rate is based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.
Perform all necessary duties with skill and efficiency by performing maintenance on underground transmission and distribution lines.
Perform work in connection with the construction and maintenance of underground manholes, vaults, splice boxes, duct lines and similar structures.
Installs and maintains services, meters, and equipment including conduit and wiring up to the meter on customers' premises
Maintains equipment in the underground system
Prepares cable racks
Pulls and racks underground cables and wires into and out of pipes, conduits and duct lines.
Splices cables of any kind or voltage for the connection of cable, transformers, junction boxes, and other equipment in the underground or overhead systems or stations.
Ensure effective customer and internal communication.
Analyze cable and equipment trouble quickly and restore services promptly by replacing fuses, switching, disconnecting defective cable on apparatus efficiently.
Identify the location of and extent to which underground structures such as man holes and vaults have been damaged and perform minor repairs safely on underground enclosures.
Isolate Network grid secondary’s and Network Protectors (NP’s).
Install and remove Recording Volt Meters (RVM’s) for power quality research.
Drive trucks, vans, and equipment and operate the associated equipment as assigned.
May work with crew or independently. May oversee a crew and its equipment engaged in pulling underground cables and wires of all sizes, types, lengths and number of conductors into and out of pipes, conduits and duct lines and other necessary work in conjunction with pulling of cables.
Support and maintain a working relationship with other departments which include, Distribution Operators, Service Op drive erectors, Engineering, Estimating and Construction to improve processes and ensure a high level of customer service.
Working knowledge of available mobile technical software.
CA CDL Class A Permit, or equivalent, subject to 150% driver/vehicle ratio
Knowledge of procurement strategies and processes and relevant regulatory framework as needed to perform at the job level
Must possess a High School diploma or GED
Completion of formal union sanctioned Cable Splicer apprenticeship
Must possess an IBEW journey- level card for a Cable Splicer or State or JATC certification
Able to wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Able to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays
