We are seeking an experienced Director of Chemistry to lead our Chemistry and Environmental operations. This role oversees daily laboratory activities, ensures regulatory and audit compliance, and provides technical and strategic leadership to Chemists, Lab Assistants, Waste Treatment Operators, and support staff. Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure analytical testing satisfies requirements for NADCAP audits.

  • Ensure compliance with local and federal regulatory agencies, including: Los Angeles Sanitation Department (wastewater management), California Water Boards (stormwater handling), Air Quality Management District (chemical emissions), Other applicable regulatory bodies.

  • Oversee laboratory equipment maintenance schedules and calibrations.

Customer & Engineering Support

  • Collaborate with customer engineers as needed.

Instrumentation Management

  • Inductively Coupled Plasma Optimal Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES), Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (FAAS), Ultraviolet and Visible light spectrometer (UV-Vis), and pH Meters.
  • Develop appropriate methods of analysis for each instrument and experiment types.
  • Coordinate with manufacturer technical support

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience working in metal finishing.
  • Proven leadership experience managing chemical laboratories and technical personnel
  • Skilled in using, maintaining, and calibrating chemical instrumentation (spectrometers, spectrophotometers, pH meters, pipettes, etc.).

POSITION SUMMARY: Maintenance Technician ensures that all repairs and maintenance of equipment are performed in compliance with the Company's safety standards and applicable federal and state regulations. The Maintenance Technician A also performs repairs and maintenance on sorting, grinding, and washing equipment to maximize safe and productive operations. About the Position:

The Medical Physicist Assistant plays an essential clinical support role in the cancer center and the broader hospital. Because the same team handles all the physics work for the hospitals, this position offers experience in both radiation oncology and the full range of medical radiation safety support. Key Responsibilities

Clinical Quality Assurance & Equipment Testing

  • Perform routine daily, monthly, and annual quality assurance (QA) tests on linear accelerators, imaging systems, and other radiation therapy equipment to ensure optimal performance and patient safety
  • Conduct patient-specific QA procedures, including IMRT/VMAT dose verification and phantom-based measurements
  • Assist with the commissioning and acceptance testing of new treatment technologies and imaging systems
  • Support ongoing calibration and maintenance processes to maintain system accuracy and reliability


Radiation Safety Support

  • Support radiation safety work across the spectrum of medical uses, including external beam therapy, diagnostic imaging, procedural fluoroscopy, diagnostic and therapeutic uses of radioactive material.
  • Assist with radiation safety audits, surveys, and exposure monitoring to ensure compliance with state, federal, and institutional guidelines
  • Support implementation of safety protocols and participate in safety training efforts for clinical staff
  • Help maintain accurate records of radiation safety procedures, inspections, and dosimetry monitoring


Treatment Planning Assistance

  • Collaborate with medical physicists and dosimetrists in the data collection and validation of the Eclipse treatment planning system
  • Support clinical staff in maintaining and updating beam models, commissioning data, and patient datasets
  • Contribute to troubleshooting and optimization of treatment planning workflows under supervision


System Support & Data Management

  • Assist in the maintenance, testing, and documentation of oncology software systems (Aria and Mosaiq)
  • Develop or use analysis tools to monitor system performance and ensure clinical accuracy
  • Help with the integration and verification of new software and technology updates


Clinical Development and Research Support

  • Participate in clinical development and performance improvement initiatives
  • Assist in research data collection, analysis, and project documentation under the guidance of senior physics staff
  • Contribute to the implementation of new technologies, workflows, and techniques that enhance patient care


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Health Physics, Medical Physics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related field (Master’s degree from a CAMPEP approved program preferred)
  • Foundational knowledge of radiation physics, radiation therapy, and radiation safety best practices
  • Experience or familiarity with QA tools, survey meters, dosimeters, and treatment planning software
  • Proficiency with technical software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ARIA, Eclipse)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow clinical protocols
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
  • Physical ability to handle QA equipment and navigate clinical settings
