- Sets up equipment for, and assists physician and RN with, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including, but not limited to, Upper Endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, manometry, spyglass, 24 hr ph, Bravo. Downloads patient information from Bravo and 24 hr. ph into appropriate database
- Checks equipment function for use during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Cleans, disinfects, and/or sterilizes equipment and accessories according to Infection Control guidelines. Documents all processing activities into appropriate logs.
- Maintains processing machines with scheduled filter changes
- Performs clinical procedures such as specimen collection, EKG, application of post-mortem care, and maintenance of skin integrity
- Performs and documents critical alarm checks on medication and nutrition refrigerators, call bells, eyewash station.
- Performs other related duties as required.
