Job Summary:
As the Clerk, you will play an integral role in organizational service and strength of our company. You will provide administrative support, greet and direct visitors, and answer and respond to calls and emails.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support to plant operation and sales functions.
- Handles telephone contacts in a professional manner and assists with customer inquiries and product pricing.
- Enter information pertaining to quotations, orders, shipments, invoices, receipts, consumption and production or other information related to Lane business, into our ERP system.
- Commands a working knowledge of company products and detailed knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Create purchase orders, prepare packing slips, and print bill of ladings.
- Call customers daily and obtain directions and schedule drop off for drivers. Prepare directions to each location via Google maps and estimate time of delivery.
- Notify Loaders which loads have to be certified by obtaining heat number off pipe. Obtain certifications for any state jobs by downloading from state website. Print and attach to BOL. Send to Contractor.
- Cross training – must be able to understand responsibilities of all clerks and fill in while others are out or help when needed.
- Sort incoming mail and file.
- Prepares UPS Shipments.
- Year-end file preparation by packing folders or scanning documentation.
- Assist in planning and scheduling shipments, inter-company transfers, walk in sales and customer pick-ups, credit and collection inquiries, basic quoting.
- Communicate with the Yard/truck drivers via phone or radios.

Position Purpose:
Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers!
The CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
- Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
- Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
- Immediately reports all safety hazards. Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
- Performs count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded.
- Checks and completes in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight.
- Moves tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
- Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
- Unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas.
- Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
- Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
- Collects money (cash or checks) where required. Loads customer returns on to trailer and secures trailer doors.
- Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
- Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unloads all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
- At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED
• 12+ months commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL-A
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test
• Pass road test
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location

The ideal candidate understands how to manufacture a wide portfolio of products, operate associated lab and pilot plant equipment, and apply basic food science knowledge related to core products and formulations. Responsibilities:
* Work with multiple scientists within Sweets and Refreshment R&D team to achieve company goals
* Perform basic tasks and follow standard work methods or specific instructions required to support product development

This individual will be asked to pan cores for a future testing. They will also be asked to clean equipment, lab space and pilot plant space. The work may occur in the lab or the pilot plant. The individual may need to operate standard analytical equipment and tools or operate processing equipment in the lab and pilot plant. The individual will be responsible for maintaining our highest quality of food safety standards and sanitation standards.
Day to Day:
1. 80 Project support: Operate standard experimental testing or processing equipment in the laboratory to prepare and package products, and record and tabulate data. Assist with pilot plant scale-up testing by preparing ingredients, packaging materials, and processing equipment, assisting with the equipment operation, collecting and tabulating data, and post-test cleanup.
2. 0-10 Project leadership: With minimal supervision, lead small projects or segments of larger projects. Manage timelines and deliverables, plan and execute experiments with autonomy, oversee temporary labor deliverables and coordination, manage communication of status and results to the team and supervisors.
3. 10-20 Lab maintenance: Responsible for organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of team laboratory workspaces. Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies. Maintain regulatory compliance through entry of ingredient/packaging information in the lot tracking database and respective trainings. Work within the Tech Center Traceability system to schedule pilot plant runs, reserve rooms and equipment, log/track ingredients and products, and create finished goods.

Job Function & Responsibilities:
- Source prospective clients through internet research, social media, sales leads, and networking.
- Delivering creative, strategic, and cost-effective solutions to solve our clients’ business needs.
- Developing and fostering true genuine in-person relationships with our clients while becoming their go-to expert within our industry, whether it be in the technical or finance & accounting field.
- Conduct in-person client visits.
- Gain awareness regarding customer vision, strategy, goals, and needs.
- Deliver in-person presentations to key stakeholders in a consultative and engaging approach.
- Participate in in-person customer and networking events, business meetups, and social events.
- Develop and foster a network, track, and communicate market trends and lead effective strategies.
- Create and lead execution of sales for both existing customers and new business.
- Partnering with organizations to best understand their industry's distinct needs.
- Overseeing the identification, qualification, and matching of solutions to meet client needs.
- Monitoring and ensuring client satisfaction.
What we are looking for in prospective candidates:
- 2-4 years of relevant sales, staffing, or B2B sales experience.
- Experience with client-facing and in-person sales.
- Someone who enjoys attending networking events, driving client interaction, and getting out in front of their customers.
- Someone who is interested in a challenging and rewarding environment that brings together competition and culture within a team.
- Someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, strong-willed, driven environment.
- An undeniable work ethic
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Our sales positions will require client-facing interactions and team collaboration within the local market.
- We offer a blended training model that will provide opportunities for self-serve, virtual and in-person training requirements. Live, in-person activities will include collaborative coaching, role playing, and facilitated training that will require our sales and recruiting associates to come into the local office.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary + uncapped monthly commission.
- 17 days PTO for 0-4 years of service; additional PTO accrual with tenure
