PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This position will ensure timely parts shipments of Aftermarket Products

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Process Aftermarket orders to meet production shipping needs.

  • Re-stock incoming parts and process material transfers.

  • Assist in the maintenance of parts inventory control.

  • Maintain all shipping materials (i.e. cardboard, tape, etc.)

  • Maintain high quality of parts shipped by performing a visual quality assurance check.

  • Maintenance of high-quality parts shipments.

  • Timely processing and shipment of Aftermarket orders.

  • Identify and select merchandise from stock and prepare items for shipment.

  • Must read and understand pick slips to ensure accurate maintenance of parts inventory.

  • Inspect products for correct size, quantity, and color before shipping.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Quad is seeking a Flexo Press Operator for our Spartanburg, SC location. We are looking for operators who are flexible and can work the night shift:

4 pm – 2 am (Mon-Thurs)

Wages start between $19.00 - $25.00 / hour or more based on relevant work experience and a strong employment history. 


Essential Functions of this position include:

  • Prepare for Operation - Access job ticket information and set up a flexographic printing press to produce labels and other products to customer specifications. Ensure the machine is adequately stocked with the correct raw materials for each job. 
  • Operate Flexographic Press - Operate assigned equipment in accordance with company safety standards and departmental SOPs to produce printed products according to customer specifications. Continually monitor supply levels of inks, paper, and other required materials to add as needed. Make routine adjustments as needed to maintain print quality and correct any issues as soon as possible.
  • Perform Troubleshooting & Maintenance - Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed. Perform basic maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of assigned equipment during shift.
  • Perform Quality Checks - Complete quality checklist(s) and other required documentation. Perform visual quality checks of the product throughout the printing process to ensure customer satisfaction. Flag bad product for removal from job run. Cut samples from each job and compare them to product standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Perform Line Clearance - Clean assigned area by removing all products from the line, trash, boxes, and other supplies associated with a completed order.

The Processing Supervisor will be responsible for maximizing productivity and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by managing and directing processing employees on assigned shifts. Key duties will include planning and overseeing daily tasks, resolving operational roadblocks and employee concerns, and strictly enforcing all safety and quality protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies. This position will drive operational excellence by adhering to Continuous Improvement (CI) processes and the Management Operating Structure (MOS), requiring collaboration with other departments. The Manager, Processing, will be primarily accountable for the daily management and execution of all milk-receiving and processing areas. This critical role will be responsible for achieving annual operational goals across key metrics, including safety, cost, quality, material yields, and capital projects. The Manager will provide strong guidance to optimize processing, manage daily operations, recommend manufacturing improvements, and will be specifically responsible for raw material management and the execution of the plant savings plan to enhance financial performance. Additionally, the role will include the vital responsibility of overseeing employee training and development. The role will report to the Assistant Plant Manager.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Enforce and apply all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) rules, including participation in risk assessments and coordinating root cause analysis for safety events.
  • Ensure strict compliance with government standards (FDA, OSHA) and regulatory requirements (Good Manufacturing Practices, FSSC22000).
  • Maintain and enforce hygiene and food safety rules, coordinate deviation root cause analysis, and ensure proper sampling and control practices are followed.
  • Execute quality assurance programs to prevent product defects and direct process adjustments to maintain conformance with quality standards.
  • Ensure the consolidation and reliability of the Mass Balance for accurate material accounting and monitor analytical equipment reliability.
  • Optimize technical and financial performance of the department, partnering with the Manager and contributing to the budget process.
  • Drive raw material results and actively lead the execution of the plant savings plan.
  • Complete and analyze Key Performance Indicator (KPI) files and reports covering production volume, yields, quality, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate activities across departments by conferring with supervisors/Managers and collaborating to enforce quality and proper equipment maintenance.
  • Manage staff administrative functions (e.g., approving time records) and manage relationships with outside vendors, while also leading root cause analysis for downtime prevention.
  • The incumbent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Processing Supervisors & Assistant Manager in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Purpose

The Additive Manufacturing (AM) Process Lead will drive the development, qualification, and continuous improvement of metal LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) processes for aero‑engine components.

This position requires strong hands‑on expertise with LPBF equipment, including machine operation, calibration, tuning, and maintenance, as well as experience in parameter development and process optimization.

The Process Lead will support supplier readiness, evaluate/develop Machine/Process Qualification activities, and establish production‑ready AM and post‑processing workflows.

The role requires close coordination with Design, Materials and Quality to meet the milestones for component development, qualification, certification, and future production.

Key Accountabilities

[AM Process Development & Execution]

  • Lead LPBF build setup, execution, and troubleshooting; maintain detailed and traceable build records.
  • Perform machine calibration and tuning, including laser alignment, scan field or beam offset adjustments, Z‑axis checks, and recoater verification.
  • Develop and refine LPBF parameter sets using DOE and data‑driven approaches.
  • Conduct engineering tests and verification builds using the PDCA cycle.
  • Support in‑situ monitoring/simulation data interpretation and correlation with part quality.
  • Analyse build failures systematically and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Operate auxiliary equipment such as EDM, heat treatment furnace, CNC machines, and metrology equipment as needed.
  • Review 2D and/or 3D models and provide manufacturability feedback to design engineers in the U.S. (US) and Japan (JP).
  • Oversee powder management, powder characterization, and lot traceability.
  • Maintain equipment health through preventive maintenance and performance monitoring.
  • Create and maintain Process Control Documents (PCDs) such as quality control plans, work instructions etc.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and industrial groups when required (e.g., FAA/EASA, ASTM, SAE, America Makes).

  • Support supplier onboarding and capability development for future production phases.
  • Establish process flows and data structures within ERP/MES systems to support qualified and production‑ready processes.

  • Hands‑on experience (5+ years) with metal LPBF EOS M400-4 or M290 systems, including build setup, operation, powder handling, and troubleshooting.
