The Role
We are seeking a high-ownership process engineering leader with a strong chemical engineering background who thrives in fast-growing environments and enjoys building systems that support scale. This is not a procurement or vendor management role. It is a technical manufacturing role focused on process engineering, scale-up, and improving manufacturing performance.
This role exists to build Carpe’s manufacturing process engineering capability as we expand production across multiple product categories and manufacturing partners. The primary focus is on developing robust, scalable processes that consistently deliver product performance.
This is a hands-on technical role. You will work directly with manufacturing teams to define critical process parameters, troubleshoot production challenges, and improve process reliability as we scale.
You will partner closely with Product Development, Operations, and Quality to translate product innovation into well-defined, scalable manufacturing processes. Success in this role requires the ability to develop long-term process engineering frameworks while also working directly with manufacturing teams to solve technical challenges and improve production performance.
What You’ll Do
Process Engineering & Manufacturing Science
- Build and lead Carpe’s internal manufacturing process engineering capability
- Work directly with contract manufacturing teams to document and refine production processes
- Identify and define critical process parameters that drive product consistency and performance
- Lead process characterization work, including DOE design and execution
- Improve process robustness and repeatability across manufacturing partners
- Troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges and support manufacturing teams in solving production issues
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Technology Transfer & Product Scale-Up
- Lead the technical transfer of new products from development into commercial manufacturing
- Work directly with contract manufacturers to scale formulations and processes successfully
- Partner closely with Product Development to translate product specifications into scalable manufacturing processes
- Oversee pilot trials, validation runs, and commercialization readiness for new product launches
- Ensure new products are successfully and reliably launched across manufacturing partners
Manufacturing Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish operational metrics and performance tracking across contract manufacturing partners
- Improve manufacturing efficiency, yield, and process reliability
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to manufacturing issues
- Implement stronger process control and operational discipline across manufacturing partners
- Develop scalable manufacturing frameworks that support continued company growth
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product Development to ensure manufacturing processes support product performance requirements
- Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory to ensure manufacturing processes meet compliance and quality standards
- Work with supply chain and planning teams to support production scheduling and inventory needs
- Provide manufacturing insight during product development and innovation planning
Contract Manufacturing Leadership
- Own and manage Carpe’s network of contract manufacturing partners
- Build strong working relationships with technical teams at manufacturing partners
- Improve operational performance across quality, delivery, and cost
- Lead onboarding and qualification of new manufacturing partners as capacity expands
- Ensure manufacturing partners are prepared to support both current production and future growth

Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10–15+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or operations leadership within consumer packaged goods, personal care, or related industries
- Experience with emulsions, OTC personal care, or topical formulation manufacturing
- Experience managing contract manufacturing networks and external production partners
- Strong technical background in manufacturing processes and scale-up
- Experience working with highly structured emulsions or shear-sensitive formulations
- Demonstrated ability to build systems, processes, and infrastructure in growing organizations
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where both strategy and hands-on execution are required
- Willing and able to travel a lot (and last minute)
- Strong engineering instincts and problem-solving ability

JOB DESCRIPTION
Tremco CPG is currently looking for a Field Safety Manager for the South Atlantic Region.
The Field Safety Manager provides safety leadership to all Tremco CPG field employees (including but not limited to Regional Techs, Field Resource Representatives, and leadership), ensures site compliance with corporate and client safety standards, implements safety directives, improves safety performance, and ensures site safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Conduct both virtual and physical visits to perform site safety audits and safety process audits (e.g., safety document evaluation/compliance) *This should take place at least 75-80% of the week. *
- Enforce all Federal, State, local, owner, and Tremco regulations throughout all regional projects.
- Assist site leadership in developing site-specific safety programs aligned with Tremco Safety policies and instruct supervisors on safety procedures, planning, and equipment.
- Assist the Director of Health and Safety with rolling out new safety initiatives and briefing employees as needed on new or updated policies (e.g., Daily Task Planning, 100% audit compliance, safety training programs).
- Educate the workforce and regional leadership on understanding Tremco's safety cultural advancements, such as safety leadership and safety management systems.
- Effectively represent our Tremco safety culture with our subcontractors and help Tremco site leadership to ensure complete compliance with our subcontractors with applicable rules and regulations (Federal, State, local, owner, Tremco, and their own).
- Act as a subject matter resource for workers within the field in producing a documented assessment of safe working processes, risk potentials, and solutions/corrective measures.
- Motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure safety practices and policies are being adhered to effectively.
- Review the safety obligations of the clients and ensure they are carried out as per the terms of the agreement, and communicate to the Field Leadership and Safety Supervisors.
- Assist the Director of Health and Safety with EHS Notification and Incident Investigation processes, as well as implementation of response action items.
- Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately per the Tremco Incident Notification Policy.
- Participate and assist all field leadership in the investigation of incidents to determine the root cause, and take corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed.
- Ensure injured workers are offered modified duties, and documentation has been completed.
- Monitor and follow up on modified workers in the field.
- As a direct report to, regularly communicate safety audit results and/or field safety concerns (e.g., Stop Work Authority) with the Director of Health and Safety and prepare observation reports as needed.
- At minimum must have 30 Hr. OSHA Training. (With willingness to get 500 Hr. OSHA Training to operate asan official component of the OSHA Construction Outreach Program.)
- Ensure all new employees within the Region meet their training objectives, e.g., complete their Day 1 Orientation, iLead New Employee Training, and Tremco (OSHA) Construction 10 Hr. Training within 1 month of their employment.
Qualifications
- An Occupational Health and Safety Degree, Diploma, or Nationally Recognized Safety Certification or Designation is a mandatory requirement.
- Minimum 8 years of Health and Safety field experience that includes strong skills in incident investigation
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to demonstrate the application of risk assessment to company operations and activities.

Scope:
The Technician, Research and Development provides support for LWE, Sweetener, Coffee, Tea and Concentrate projects; and Shelf Life program; compounds formulas accurately, take physical analytical measurements and prepares and executes daily sensory panels and/or shelf life evaluations in accordance with written or oral instructions; maintains controls for the plant and R&D group, assists with data management, analysis and reporting; maintains inventory of samples for sensory and shelf life studies and may support other product development initiatives as requested. The duties in this position are expected to evolve over time as a result of the company’s growth and expansion into new technologies.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• Follows detailed instructions and works independently with light supervision.
• Collects, manages and maintains sensory or shelf life inventory. Includes sample receipt, labeling, placement in appropriate environment, removal at defined intervals for stability testing and archiving/disposal of samples at end of study.
• Monitors stability chambers and chart recorders to confirm environmental conditions are maintained within established specifications; maintains physical and electronic shelf life testing files and database following established procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct the daily onsite safety brief before the start of the WTI project with the Sales Rep, customer, and the WTI crew. Foreman also ensures that all technicians complete Daily Hazard Analysis.

The Production Manager provides managerial oversight in the grower processer facility and reports to the Operations Director. The Production Manager is responsible for the departmental success of both the Post Harvest and Non-Flower Packaging areas of the operation.
