Avantor is looking for a dedicated Senior Manager of Operations to optimize our Performance Materials organization.
The Senior Manager oversees all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity, monitor operations and trigger corrective actions and are responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.

Manage a multi-department team comprised of individual contributors to management.

Lead/ participate on project teams to identify and evaluate process improvements (safety, quality, efficiency, capacity, capability, automation, etc.).

Establish, develop and manage processes/ systems to allow for effective and efficient production operations that meet or exceed operational requirements for quality, procedural adherence, schedule adherence, work completion, lead times, budget/work standards, and optimal workflow.
Prepare/ assist in preparing departmental budgets.
Build business cases, cost models and financial justifications for process improvements and projects as appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The team

Pay Transparency
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is,
$83,800.00 - $142,715.00This reflects base salary.
This position is subject to incentive compensation, where the expected pre-tax Target Cash Opportunity ("TCO") for this position is based on the achieved sales and in the amount/range of,
$98,600.00 - $167,900.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and eligible geographic location.
TCO is defined as Base Salary + Target Sales Incentive (Sales Incentive eligible role only).

NuSil (a part of Avantor) is seeking a dedicated and goal oriented Sales Representative (Remote, MN) to join our team.
The Sales Representative is a growth-focused role responsible for driving new business acquisition and expanding NuSil's presence in the medical device industry within an assigned territory.
This role emphasizes hunting, consultative selling, and business development, while also growing strategic relationships with existing customers.
You will have the opportunity to manage the full sales cycle-from prospecting through close-by identifying customer needs, positioning NuSil's value proposition, and delivering solution-based offerings that drive revenue growth.

The Site Buyer and Master Planner owns site-level purchasing and integrated planning activities to deliver customer service, inventory, and cost objectives. This role manages direct and indirect materials procurement, leads the monthly site S&OP cycle and weekly S&OE process, and represents the site in global supply chain planning forums.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain planning in a manufacturing environment (chemical/process manufacturing preferred).

Major Job Duties & Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing Operations
Determine raw material order quantities and timing by analyzing on-hand, on-order, lead times, and historical demand/consumption.
Generate and manage purchase orders/agreements: review requisitions, issue POs, run PO reports, confirm deliveries, expedite as needed, and manage open PO exceptions/backorders.
Communicate purchase requirements and documentation needs (e.g., CoA/CoC) to suppliers; ensure alignment to schedule requirements.
Manage sourcing, planning, and purchasing of indirect materials and PPE required for manufacturing, maintenance, QC/QA, and housekeeping.
Resolve goods-inwards/receiving issues tied to POs, deliveries, and inventory discrepancies; coordinate with Receiving/Warehouse and suppliers.
Manage pricing alignment per governance and coordinate discrepancies with Finance/Commercial.

Represent the site in global S&OP/S&OE forums: submit required data on time, present site status/constraints, and communicate risks and mitigation plans.
Partner with global demand planning and network plants to align demand forecasts (direct and interplant); reconcile forecast vs. orders and highlight deviations.
Collaborate in daily/weekly cross-functional site management forums to ensure stakeholders are aligned to priorities and prepared to support commitments.
Support inventory planning with Finance: maintain inventory outlooks and working-capital plans consistent with the approved S&OP plan; identify excess/obsolete risks and actions.
Run the quarterly PFEP (Plan for Every Part) process to set and maintain the site stocking strategy for direct materials and packaging (criticality, lead times, MOQ/cadence, shelf-life/storage, and ordering parameters such as min/max and reorder points).
Partner with Operations, Quality, Warehouse/Logistics, and Finance to review PFEP outputs, implement approved parameter changes, maintain master data, and maintain documentation and an action log.
Support NPIs by establishing sourcing readiness, planning assumptions, and lead times and communicating impacts to stakeholders.
Process, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
Check and resolve ongoing issues in processes or systems using standard work expectations; implement tactical and operational goals set by the manager.
Implement process changes, operational metrics, and standards within the role's scope; deliver agreed metrics using Avantor Business Systems (ABS) tools.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to convert or generate procedures into the current standard format (as assigned).

Glassware Washing & Laboratory Support
Perform routine washing, drying, and sterilization of laboratory glassware following established SOPs.
Inspect glassware for cleanliness, damage, or wear and remove items that do not meet quality standards.
Organize, label, and restock clean glassware to designated laboratory areas to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
Maintain cleanliness of washing stations, autoclaves, drying ovens, and related equipment.
Track inventory of glassware and notify appropriate personnel of low stock or replacement needs.
PPE Cleaning & Maintenance
Collect, clean, and sanitize personal protective equipment (PPE) according to facility hygiene and safety requirements.
Inspect PPE for damage, contamination, or wear and escalate issues requiring replacement.

PPE Restocking & Inventory

Buffer Preparation

Perform pH adjustments, verify concentrations, and maintain batch documentation.
Ensure proper storage and handling of prepared buffers to maintain stability and compliance.
Chemical Management
Support safe handling, storage, and organization of laboratory chemicals.
Track chemical inventory and assist with ordering, receiving, and restocking materials.
Maintain up-to-date SDS files and support chemical safety compliance.
Assist with waste collection, labeling, and disposal following environmental and regulatory guidelines.

Role Overview
Under general supervision, the Sr. Accountant will collaborate with partners across the organization to:
