Position Overview
The Senior Preconstruction Estimator will lead pursuits, initiate conversations with owners, act as the main point of contact with proposed clients and manage the Estimating group in certain functions. The Sr. Preconstruction Estimator will have daily involvement in the preconstruction phase of various projects by sourcing and reviewing potential opportunities, preparing budgetary estimates/schedules, and formulating work plans based on conceptual or schematic designs through construction documents. The Sr. Preconstruction Estimator helps develop project GMP by performing quantity take-off, soliciting subcontractor pricing as necessary, and/or applying historical cost data. The Sr. Preconstruction Estimator will be involved with both public and private clients.
Assigned Responsibilities
Client Development
  • Promote the growth and development of Client and Designer relationships.
  • Maintain positive working relationship with Client and Architect and/or Engineer contacts to facilitate successful project execution.
  • Attend Client initiated meetings throughout the preconstruction phase of the project.
  • Meet with owners, architects, and other industry related professionals to network and promote the interests of F.H. Paschen.
  • Monitor and review potential opportunities via various solicitation websites.
Preconstruction
  • Prepare preliminary budgets, conceptual estimates and detailed estimates (conceptual, schematic, design development, construction) including quantity take-offs.
  • Review documents and provide input regarding general conditions, project phasing and site logistics.
  • Create subcontractor/material supplier bid lists. Solicit subcontractor input when necessary.
  • Prepare bid packages, obtain bids from subcontractors and material vendors, and analyze bids from subcontractors and material vendors.
  • Participate in preconstruction presentations with the Owner (i.e., Design Development estimates or Guaranteed Maximum Price (“GMP”) booklets, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, Consultants to identify, track and implement value engineering opportunities to proactively guide the design to optimize cost.
  • Have a working knowledge of material unit costs, systems square foot costs and total building square foot costs.
  • Research, compile and maintain historical data base for use in future preliminary budgets and pricing
  • Identify and qualify new material suppliers and subcontractors and place into subcontractor database.
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Prepare discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
  • Maintain files of working documents as back up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
  • Prepare instruction to bidders and other bid solicitation information as required
Construction Planning
  • Participate with the preconstruction team during the strategy meetings on the approach to the project or estimate.
  • Assist in the preparation of preliminary construction schedules and work plans.
  • Attend design meetings with Owner, Architect, Engineers, and Consultants
  • Participate in the project hand-off meeting between the project Operations team and the preconstruction team.
  • Visit on-going projects to verify status of estimate versus project status, meet with the project operations team, view work in place for experience and comparison to the estimate.
Work Hour Options
  • General work hours are 7:30am - 5pm and 5-day work weeks are standard. Note that work hours and workdays may vary (changes, additions, etc.) based on critical work activities and/or required safety supervision.
Requirements
  • Over ten (10) years, experience with preconstruction and estimating preferred.
  • Civil and Structural experience in preconstruction and estimating strongly preferred.
  • Preferred four (4) year degree in construction or civil engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office to include Outlook, Excel & Word.
  • Knowledge of estimating, scheduling and quantity take-off software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail required
Licensure/Certifications
  • OSHA certification preferred.

  • Ensures timely and accurate demand management (If the demand is managed by the Planning Team at your Site).
  • Effectively Manage Excess, Surplus and Obsolete inventory.
  • Identify the impact of excess and obsolescence and drive necessary actions to mitigate it.
  • Ensures bills of material are accurate and collaborate with other teams on any engineering changes.
  • Collaborates with different stakeholders to achieve Inventory Entitlement targets and drive results.
  • Executes actions to meet the Inventory goals (Inventory cash adjusted and Turns), including performing accurate Inventory Projection.
  • Maintains continuous Material Supply to achieve the targeted inventory levels and turns.
  • Perform material and capacity analysis before loading MPS. Monitor MPS accuracy, attainment and level load metrics and drive necessary actions to improve them.
  • Performs Financial Impact Analysis (FIA) to mitigate inventory risk before loading MPS.
  • Work with other departments to review and dispose of non-conforming materials.
  • Ensures production schedules to meet the customer requirements to achieve high levels of on time delivery.
  • Ensures proper POR including OAR management and timely execution.
  • Drives necessary actions to meet revenue goals.
  • Manages RMA orders. Works with other departments to meet repair commitments.

  • Submits Investment Inventories for material that is not required for normal manufacturing operations or to support standard level of customer service.
  • Follow global procedures and policies and drive practices aligned to them.

  • Review with the team the last time buys for products that are at the end of life. Reviews impact on supply line of the new engineering requirements excess and obsolete
  • Manages overall relationship with and performance of suppliers. Reviews supplier performance and makes recommendations on changes or disqualifications. Communicates internally committed delivery schedule for purchased materials required in production. Supervises and maintains communications with supplier’s through SCM Tools
  • Monitoring and Drive weekly Purchasing KPI performance trend and execution. Buyer due diligence & escalation with materials are available to meet manufacturing build requirements. Addresses and resolves possible material shortages.
  • Acts as a liaison with internal/external customers to ensure logistics commitments are met.
  • Maintains high level of on-time delivery, including operational tracking of critical shipments.

Oversee Business Connectivity

  • Active engagement and participation in the key external manufacturing & supply chain network forums (BU Squad, MAKE Tier, S&OP Processes, OTV, QBR’s, Triangle Call, etc.)
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to influence and implement improvements to ensure successful change management. About the Role:

We are hiring a Sanitation Worker for the night shift at one of our client’s seafood production facilities in Monroe, WA. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the plant and surrounding areas to support safe and efficient operations. This is a full-time position offering steady hours, competitive pay starting at $19/hour, and great benefits—ideal for someone who prefers to work overnight.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Perform nightly sanitation on all production equipment, fillet tables, scales, lines, floors, walls, storage areas, totes, gondolas, containers, and product contact surfaces using pressure water hoses.

Need to remove guards and other processing components for sanitizing using lock out tag our procedures.

Empty all garbage containers in the plant.

Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies.

Perform other clean-up duties, such as washing windows, scrubbing walls, and the floor in the cooler.

REQUIREMENTS:

Operate a forklift.

We will train you how to operate an electric pallet jack if you do not have experience.

Need to be able to lift up to 75 lbs. with routine lifting of 25 lbs.

Overtime required as needed, depending on production demands.

Work is performed in the plant. The conditions can be noisy, wet, and cold. We supply rain gear, ear and eye protection; it is up to you to supply your own waterproof boots.
