The starting base salary is $110,000-$145,000/year depending on experience. We offer 11 paid federal holidays, medical, dental, vacation, and matching 401K benefits. Senior Transactional Legal Secretary
San Francisco | Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Our client, a highly regarded San Francisco–based legal practice, is seeking a Senior Transactional Legal Secretary to provide high-level support to firm leadership and a busy transactional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform heavy document production and redlining using Forte (required)
- Prepare and finalize transactional documents, including signature packets, tables of contents, macros, and complex formatting
- Provide billing support, including edits, markups, Excel-based data, and coordination of billing history
- Manage matter intake processes, including conflicts checks and data submission
- Draft correspondence, interpret handwritten notes, manage calendars, and schedule meetings
- Partner closely with senior leadership to ensure responsiveness, prioritization, and clear communication
- Support cross-training initiatives as part of broader administrative continuity planning
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of law firm experience, ideally in a transactional practice
- Advanced Forte experience

The Opportunity: Senior Associate, Legal Counsel:
This role will advise investment and client service teams on various investment advisory matters, support legal and compliance functions, and assist covering a diverse array of regulatory, corporate, fund, contract and investment legal matters across various strategies and business lines.
This role will also work on various compliance matters related to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of:
- The Investment Advisors Act and relevant securities laws.

Principal Responsibilities
• Provide counsel on compliance with U.S. securities and investment advisory laws, including
matters arising under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, and support securities law matters in
international jurisdictions (UK and Singapore) as needed.
• Advise internal stakeholders on securities and investment advisory-related matters, including
compliance with federal and state securities laws and policy implementation.
• Monitor and interpret changes in securities and investment advisory legislation and ensure timely compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support policy development, compliance training, and
implementation of best practices across business lines.

Qualifications
• JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in the U.S.
• 4+ years of relevant experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• Expertise in the Securities Act of 1933, Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and/or the Investment
Advisors Act of 1940.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills with excellent judgment and business acumen.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, practical legal advice.
• High ethical standards and strong emotional intelligence with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with international securities and investment advisory laws, particularly in the UK and

The Family Law Staff Attorney will provide legal consultations and legal representation to family law litigants with a focus on assisting survivors of domestic violence before the San Francisco Unified Family Court. In addition to family law litigation, Attorney will provide trauma-informed representation in Domestic Violence Restraining Order matters.
- Provide family law legal consultations and full-scope legal representation to family law litigants and survivors of domestic violence.
- Staff legal clinics providing brief services at San Francisco community organizations.
- Collaborate closely with JDC supervising attorney and other project staff attorneys to ensure excellent legal advocacy.
- Ability to Multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining professionalism and peace of mind.
- Exceptional litigation, writing and legal research skills with attention to detail and case strategy.
- Work closely with JDC staff on on-going reassessment and adjustment of grant-funded project design and delivery of services.
- Co-ordinate with grant partners to draft and submit quarterly and biannual reports.
- Contribute to our collaborative team by working from the San Francisco office a minimum of 2 days per week in addition to remote work, and appearances at the San Francisco Superior Court.
Education:
Must be member of the California State Bar in good standing.
