Job Summary and QualificationsThe Stroke Coordinator coordinates the clinical aspects of the stroke program and leads the Nursing teams that provide immediate care to patients who suffer sudden onset or progression of symptoms of stroke. Acts as a liaison to the community for the stroke center by providing and organizing education awareness of signs and symptoms of stroke, current medical treatments, risk factors, preventions and rehabilitation services. Develop educational programs for nurses, clinical staff, physicians, and EMS. Facilitates physician collaboration and utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to stroke care to improve patient outcomes in a cost-effective manner. Participate in the collection and monitoring of data for quality improvement of patient care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides evidence of current required license or certification as outlined in job description
- Demonstrates the knowledge to utilize required computer hardware/software in order perform job responsibilities and uses computer equipment/software for business purposes only
- Serves, in conjunction with the Stroke Center Medical Director, as Co-Chairperson of the Stroke Committee; serves as a spokesperson for the Stroke Center. Coordinates and attends monthly Stroke Committee meetings
- Assists in the development of a strategic plan for the growth of stroke services. Networks and cultivates effective support from the medical staff, community, professional organizations, hospital staff, and other agencies and individuals who can provide referrals and support for the Stroke Center
- Assures compliance with Stroke Center accreditation criteria.
- Performs other duties necessary for the operation of the Stroke Center.
- Recommends policies and protocols for best practice treatment of stroke patients across the continuum of care
- Works closely with the local EMS and Emergency Department to assure optimal continuity of care, from pre-hospital to hospital
- Competent in emerging stroke treatment and diagnostic modalities
- Works with the medical, nursing and ancillary staff to assure continuity of care and use of evidenced based practices
- Works closely with the Stroke Committee to establish ongoing methods for collecting meaningful data in order to measure and improve stroke patient outcomes
- Establishes ongoing methods to measure and improve satisfaction levels of the Stroke Center patients and staff
- Educates the nursing and ancillary staff on best practices in the treatment of stroke patients
- Educates employees on the mission and vision of the facility related to stroke patients and educates them regarding stroke accreditation
- Acts as an internal resource and in the community to educate others about the best practices for the care of the stroke patient
- Represents the hospital at local, regional and national level events to promote best practices for the care of stroke patients
- Represents the hospital in the promotion of the Stroke Center as a center for excellence
- 3-5 years of active involvement in the care and treatment of the stroke patient in an acute healthcare care setting

The Risk Manager will serve as the cornerstone of BCAD's risk management program, ensuring the airport is protected from liability by evaluating risk exposures, reviewing and negotiating complex contracts, and establishing and enforcing insurance requirements and renewals for all vendors and third parties. It provides critical oversight of procurement activities, analyzes bid documents, and safeguards compliance through the monitoring of Certificates of Insurance. The role also represents the airport's risk management interests in high-stakes meetings with airlines and key vendors, supports County departments with insurance guidance and trains staff across multiple divisions. With its blend of technical insurance expertise, legal interpretation, contact analysis, and staff leadership, this position is integral to minimizing financial exposure and maintaining continuity in BCAD operations. The employee will function as the Safety Management System Coordinator for Landside Operations in conjunction with the Operations Division. This position will supervise a loss and safety team on our construction sites and will ensure Occupational safety and health training and education program tracking.
Plans, develops, implements and maintenance of an airport Safety Management System (SMS), which includes - SMS anonymous reporting, tracking, investigation, and audits; facilitation of the safety risk management (SRM) process; conducting safety assurance meetings and inspections; and providing safety promotion initiatives and incentives; as well as Gap Analysis, Data Collection Review and Synthesis, Updates, Committee Meetings, Safety Assurance Evaluations, and SMS manual and related policies and procedures updates.
This position will work closely with the Operations Division and Maintenance Division regarding employee safety issues and the general risk and safety conditions of the airport. Walk job sites, review reports, and meet with contractors and PMs to resolve safety hazards and OSHA non-compliance. Another important function is to establish and maintain relationships across lines of business as well as with BCAD's partners, including but not limited to BSO, Concessions, Airlines, Ground Handlers, Fuel Farm, Fire and Rescue.
Manages insurance renewals for BCAD and vendor insurance review; mediate claims between attorneys, claimants, and insurance companies; investigate backup for claims and secure additional documentation as needed; liability and subrogation claims. public records request process and review of video requests.
Reviews Loss Control and collaborates with all BCAD divisions and various partners to ensure risk is reduced.
Training and educating expanding community (700+) BCAD employees on compliance and safety standards.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, risk management, construction project management, occupational safety, or closely related field

Senior LTSS Assessor (RN) Highlights • The pay for this position is $35.49 – $63.79 per hour .

Job Summary The Oncology Clinical Educator role provides disease state, REMS, and product safety education and training to key healthcare providers within Oncology clinics, and health care providers (HCPs) in both the hospital and clinic/office setting.

The OCE serves as the disease state and product safety expert for their assigned territories.

MEDPHYS - Medical Physicist ABR within 120 Days
Wellstar Cobb in Austell, Georgia is seeking a FT Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist. The Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist is under the direct supervision of the Chief Physicist, the Physicist ensures the quality of care in the use of radiation producing sources and imaging equipment. The physicist also assists in matters of protection of patients and staff from radiation in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Responsible for overall functioning of radiation therapy equipment, radiation safety considerations and operational aspects of the WellStar Radiation Oncology facilities. Calibrates all radiation therapy equipment, conducts routine quality control procedures on all radiation treatment devices. Helps in planning of radiation treatments. Recommends radiation safety procedures to areas using radiation. Educates personnel in radiation protection practices. Shares responsibility for brachytherapy source inventories, surveys, leak tests.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Daily duties
* Work with other physics staff and assist in the general medical physics duties pertaining to operating a radiation therapy facility.
* Ensures that every treatment plan is checked and/or IMRT QA performed before the first fraction.
* Provides quality assurance of patient treatment through weekly checking of patients charts and attending General chart rounds.
* Performs routine or specialized dosimetry to check the treatment plan parameters.
* Performs spot checks and reviews all technical and scientific data generated from simulation through treatment in order to ensure accuracy and precision of patients treatment plan.
* Designs and fabricates special ancillary equipment, immobilization devices, compensating filters, molds and blocking devices.
* Performs chart checks for any mathematical errors or prescription changes that may have occurred throughout the course of treatment.
* Provides consultation to assure accurate radiation dose delivery.
* Verifies proper operation and safety of all machines and sources producing radiation in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
* Upholds, maintains and establishes adequate protocols to ensure accurate patient dosimetry.

Job Summary:
Wellstar Douglas Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate
Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon
to join our growing orthopedic team. The ideal candidate will provide expert care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of total joint replacement surgeries, including hip, knee, and shoulder procedures, to help improve the quality of life for our patients. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with joint disorders, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other degenerative conditions requiring total joint replacement.
Perform total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, revisions, and other related surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques when appropriate.
Provide pre-operative assessments and post-operative care, ensuring optimal recovery and outcomes.
Conduct non-surgical management of joint conditions, including physical therapy recommendations, injections, and pain management strategies.
Collaborate with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and lifestyle.
Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Care:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of orthopedic specialists, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary rounds to ensure best practices and improve patient outcomes.
Educate patients and their families on surgical options, expected outcomes, and post-surgical care to ensure understanding and realistic expectations.
Documentation and Compliance:
Ensure all patient records, surgical notes, and treatment plans are accurately documented in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Comply with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other standards, to maintain patient confidentiality and safety.
Surgical Procedures and On-call Duties:
Perform total joint surgeries, including primary and revision surgeries for the hip, knee, and shoulder.
Participate in the hospital's on-call rotation as needed for urgent orthopedic consults or emergencies.
Patient Education and Follow-up:
Educate patients on post-surgical rehabilitation, physical therapy exercises, and pain management strategies.
Conduct routine follow-up appointments to monitor patient recovery and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
Professional Development and Research:
Stay up to date with the latest advances in orthopedic techniques and research, particularly in the area of total joint replacement.
Participate in continuing education, conferences, and seminars to maintain professional certifications and expertise.
Opportunity for involvement in clinical research projects related to joint replacement surgery.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of an orthopedic residency program.
Fellowship training in Total Joint Arthroplasty or Adult Reconstruction Orthopedics is preferred.
Licensure & Certification:
Board Certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS).
Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Georgia.
Current DEA license.
BLS/ACLS certification.
Experience:
At least 3-5 years of experience performing total joint replacement surgeries in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
Proficiency in primary and revision surgeries for hip, knee, and shoulder joints.
Strong knowledge of the latest surgical techniques and technology for joint replacement.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent surgical skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and their families about treatment options and expectations.
Ability to maintain a calm and compassionate demeanor under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in minimally invasive joint replacement techniques.
Familiarity with robotic-assisted orthopedic surgery is a plus.
Experience in a hospital setting serving a diverse patient population.
