What you'll likely work on:
- Expanded Care providers are responsible for managing patients' acute care concerns. This role is a blend of urgent care, but in a primary care setting
- Common concerns and procedures could include: STI diagnosis and treatment, staple removal, suture removal, pelvic exams, I&Ds, IVs, nebulizer treatment, URIs, coughs, bronchitis, UTIs, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatry screening and stabilization, etc.
- Maintain evidence-based and current knowledge as it relates to urgent care practice and procedures as well as basic proficiency in primary care topics (hypertension, diabetes, depression/anxiety, etc). Comfortable with initial management of acute changes in chronic conditions

Responsibilities
- Hospital/Surgical Center Responsibilities
- May need to round in the hospital on rare occasions with inpatients
- May need to assist in hospital consults on rare occasions.
- Assists the surgeon with major and minor surgical procedures in the operating room.
- Positions, preps and drapes the patient, as needed.
- Closes surgical wounds and performs post-operative wound care
- Applies dressings, casts, splints, braces, etc.
- Performs minor surgical procedures within scope of licensure.
- Responsible for coordinating patient care between the office and the hospital, writing orders for surgical patients both pre and post operatively, and reporting the condition of care of hospitalized patients to the physician
- Sees patients in the clinic both independently and with supervision. Dictates clinic progress notes. Orders appropriate tests and develops patient treatment plans with physician approval.
- Performs joint aspirations/injections.
- Interprets x-rays.
- Applies casts, splints, braces, etc. under supervision of the physician.
- Removes staples, sutures as needed
- Assists in fielding/triaging physician calls.
- Reviews lab results, x-rays, and MRI/CT results prior to entering patient exam room
- Confers with physician regarding new patient findings and potential diagnosis and treatment.
- Administers therapeutic injections and performs minor procedures as needed
- Reviews pre-operative instructions and explains the surgical process to patients who are about to have surgery
- Provides diagnosis and treatment services to established patients and postoperative patients
- Prescribes medications, treatments, in accordance with physician protocols and ensures that all prescriptions and required notes are in patient?s medical record
- Formulates and updates patient care plans; consults with physician as needed
- Orders pre-operative tests, CT scans, and MRIs, and documents, utilizing the EHR software
- Follows applicable ICD 10 and billing guidelines.
- Returns patient phone messages at designated times throughout the day; follow through with appropriate action; documents action taken in patient chart.
Physical requirements
- Position requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, as well as manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Employees will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Position requires lifting associated with patient transfers (up to 50 lbs.)
- Normal visual acuity and hearing are required.
- The employee will work under stressful conditions and work irregular hours.
- The employee will be exposed to bodily fluids on a regular basis.
- The employee will have frequent exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinical environment.

Educational Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program with completed residency.

- If you take surgical calls, it may require going to the hospital to follow up on patients either after surgery or when on call at a given hospital
- Must be reachable by phone during the entirety of your time on call
- Scrub into the OR and function as a first assist as needed

The Operating Room of Surgery provides intraoperative care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Current documentation of certification to practice surgical technology in Oregon required.
Option 1
Successful completion of a training program for surgical technologists in a branch of the armed forces of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corp.
Successful completion of 16 hours of continuing education every two (2) years relevant to the medical-surgical practice of surgical technology.
Option 2
Successful completion of a surgical technology education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).

Summary
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Functions as a surgical team member in the operating room working under the direction and supervision of an RN. Assists in providing care to patients of all ages including pediatrics and geriatrics to assure quality nursing care.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Operating Room of Surgery provides intraoperative care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. We provide service for the patient population of pediatrics, adolescents, adult and elderly patients. We work with a variety of provider specialties in caring for people going home that day or are being admitted to the hospital.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Current documentation of certification to practice surgical technology in Oregon required.
Option 1
Successful completion of a training program for surgical technologists in a branch of the armed forces of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corp.
Successful completion of 16 hours of continuing education every two (2) years relevant to the medical-surgical practice of surgical technology.
Option 2
Successful completion of a surgical technology education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
Certification as a surgical technologist issued by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or successful completion of the CAAHEP or ABHES educational program within the past twelve months.
Option 3
Candidate has practiced surgical technology at least two (2) years between January 1, 2014 and January 1, 2017 in a hospital, ambulatory surgical center or as an employee of a federal government agency or institution.
Successful completion of 16 hours of continuing education every two (2) years relevant to the medical-surgical practice of surgical technology.
Healthcare Provider BLS required.
Experience or training in computer applications preferred.

Knowledge of basic instrumentation for specialty areas including general eyes, ENT, ortho, OB/GYN, urology, vascular, plastic, laparoscopic procedures (and cardiac, if appropriate). Knowledge of sizes and applications of needles and suture types for different procedures. Knowledge of endoscopic and open staple products, sizes and application. Knowledge of implant materials and applications.

Duties & Responsibilities Verify receipt of all inpatient and outpatient discharged records utilizing reconciliation measures and following up on missing records to ensure they are received in a timely manner Strong attention to detail is critical when prepping paper chart for scanning while confirming the patient name, medical record number and account number are on every page in the chart, front and back Initiative to repair forms as needed such as torn, wrinkled, folded and dog-eared pages is expected Ensure the integrity of the legal medical record by removing all staples and paper clips, identify and separate multi-part forms prior to scanning the original Copy all damaged documents so that they are fed through the scanner without difficulty Scan all paper documents within each medical record is critical Responsible for troubleshooting repairs and routine maintenance of scanner.
This may include replacing and ordering parts, taking appropriate action when the scanner is not working properly and cleaning the scanner with appropriate cleaning solution and materials as needed.

Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.

Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.

Qualifications: 1.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proven experience with VFDs is essential.
3.
A valid electrician license.

Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all necessary equipment.
5.
Able to read and understand complex electrical diagrams.
6.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.

May perform radiology exams if approved per state law under "grandfather clause" and maintains current requirement.
