We’re a fast-growing sports & gifting brand bringing “mystery shirt” magic into the real world – via claw machines and vending machines packed with surprise soccer, basketball and rugby jerseys.
We’re at the very start of this channel and our long-term ambition is to place 800+ claw and vending machines across the NYC metro, Northeast, and key US markets in high-footfall, sports-focused venues.
Once we’ve cracked the US East Coast model, the plan is to expand this rollout nationwide – turning it into a serious global revenue stream.
The Role:
Your mission is simple:
Get our claw and vending machines into great locations on a revenue-share model and turn those locations into long-term, high-performing accounts.
You’ll be responsible for the full sales cycle – from identifying target venues, to getting in front of decision-makers, to negotiating terms and overseeing successful installs.
This is a role for a closer with a track record, not a “starter”. If you know how to sell physical, space-taking products into venues (or similar), this will feel familiar – just more fun.
What You'll be Doing:
Sales & Business Development:
Build and manage a pipeline of target venues, including:
- Soccer stadiums and clubs (MLS teams, soccer-specific venues)
- Basketball arenas and sports centers (NBA, college basketball facilities)
- Rugby venues, sports bars and high-footfall leisure sites (arcades, attractions, student hubs, family venues, etc.)
- Research and map decision-makers (centre managers, commercial managers, tenant coordinators, operations, etc.) and get in front of them via outbound (cold email, calls, LinkedIn, in-person visits).
- Pitch our claw/vending machine concept and revenue-share model in a clear, commercial way that makes it a no-brainer for the venue.
- Create tailored proposals and negotiate commercial terms (revenue splits, minimum terms, placement, branding, etc.).
- Own the full sales cycle from first contact → proposal → negotiation → signed agreement → handover/installation.
Account Management & Expansion
Act as key point of contact for venue partners – check performance, resolve issues, and keep relationships warm.
Monitor machine performance by location, flag under-performance early, and propose solutions (relocation, offer tweaks, creative changes).
Identify upsell / expansion opportunities (more machines, better placements, additional venues in the same group).
Execution & Operations Coordination:
Work closely with operations to schedule machine installs, maintenance and replenishment.
Ensure all venue requirements (H&S, insurance, risk assessments, branding guidelines) are captured and communicated.
Feed back on what you’re seeing “on the ground” – what types of venues and positions work best, what objections are coming up, what offers resonate.
Reporting & Targets:
Own and report on a clear set of KPIs: machines placed, signed venues, average monthly revenue per machine, pipeline value, win rate.
Keep CRM / pipeline organised and up to date – no black holes, no mystery deals.
What We're Looking for:

We’re looking for someone who has already sold into venues / locations and can show it.
Must-haves
- 3+ years B2B sales experience with a strong new business focus (not just farming existing accounts).
- Proven success selling physical or location-based products or services, such as:
- Vending / amusement / arcade / gaming machines
- POS / kiosks / retail hardware
- Experiential / in-store activations
- Other space-taking installations into venues
- Confident negotiating commercial agreements and revenue-share models.
- Comfortable being out on the road, visiting sites, walking a venue and spotting where something would perform best.
- Strong communication skills – in-person, on the phone, and over email. You can explain the numbers clearly and get to a decision.

Prepare for job setup by reviewing work orders, tie-in sheets, operator documents, blueprints, or CATIA plots for production orders, first lots, or tool tryouts.
Review Work Orders (W/O) to confirm the correct type and quantity of materials and tools or fixtures are issued and free from visible defects, updating CMES as necessary.
Identify the type of setup required based on documentation and check machine setups or parts completed by previous operators to assess job progress and ensure safe working conditions.
Select and verify the condition of machine accessories and holding devices (e.g., chucks, vises, templates) and identify any required fixtures or shop aids.
Attach air nozzles or suction devices for vacuum fixtures, securing them with bolts or clamps as specified in the operator setup documents.
Use overhead cranes to load and unload parts and fixtures as required for the machining process.
Upload and download CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) programs to machine controllers using computing equipment from various servers or databases.
Select and check cutting tools according to program specifications, ensuring they are the correct type, length, diameter, and in good condition before installation.
Set machine coordinates or index points per CNC documents, including cutter offsets, tool heights, and probes, using appropriate measuring tools.
Run CNC programs to machine rough and precision cut parts, monitoring machine operations for unusual vibrations, sounds, or warning indicators.

History: Rise Up Industries (RUI) was founded in 2013 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, modeled after Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, the world’s most successful gang intervention and reentry program. In March 2016, we opened our Reentry Program, which assists formerly incarcerated, previously gang involved individuals to successfully reenter society; thereby reducing the gang population and the recidivism rate.
A key component of our Reentry Program is employment experience and training in our Machine Shop Social Enterprise. Our 18-month program provides on-the-job training for our members to become DOL and DAS certified CNC machine operators.
Responsibilities:
· Works with the machine shop manager and the other supervisors to efficiently run the machine shop and training program.
· Work in a hands-on role in all machine shop functions, including programming and running CNC mills & lathes.
· Communicate instructions in a training atmosphere for the members of our program.
· Ensure the timely and accurate production of parts to meet the shop output needs.
· Use Master-Cam and Fusion 360 or other cam systems to produce CNC mill & lathe programs.
· Maintain workflow and follow quality control system using E2Shop.
Qualifications:
· Solid understanding of basic and advanced machining principles of mill & lathes primarily

The Advanced BioImaging Center (ABC) in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a Professional Researcher at the Assistant, Associate, or Full rank. The position will report to Professor Gokul Upadhyayula, with Professor Eric Betzig serving as an additional academic mentor. The Advanced BioImaging Center (ABC) at UC Berkeley aspires to be a world-leading multidisciplinary imaging center that drives important biological discoveries through critical new advances in all aspects of imaging technology and that drives the dissemination of that technology through a multi-pronged education strategy to scientists around the world. This position will focus on advanced, independent research leading the ABC computational team to develop vision-transformer-based foundation machine learning models. The Researcher will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of optical physicists, engineers, and computational imaging researchers to achieve the ambitious goal of creating a generative AI model for segmenting and querying complex 4D high-resolution data of zebrafish development. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to advancing biological imaging and AI-driven data analysis at the intersection of biology and computational science.
As this project grows, the individual will be expected to expand their leadership and adapt to the evolving scope of the research. The role will begin with leading efforts to supervise data collection and management, model development, and collaborating with leadership across the center. - Be responsible for major areas of search, recommendations, notifications, etc for more than 500 million monthly active Pinterest users. Potential areas of impact include ML based retrieval, multi domain ranking, L1 modeling, candidate generators, sequence modeling, relevance modeling, and infrastructure efficiency and scalability.
- Deeply understand the Pinterest product and drive the vision for the team, ensuring the team's work directly contributes to the company's goals.
- Manage and mentor a team of Machine Learning engineers (L13 - L16), providing technical guidance and support to help them grow their careers. Identify team needs and hire strong candidates.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering teams at Pinterest to enhance the experience for users, including Advanced Technology Group, Infrastructure, Content Understanding and User Understanding.
- Provide visibility to senior leadership regarding the team's global impact.
- Partner with stakeholders across the company, including product management, data scientists, and design, to shape the future of the content ecosystem and personalization at Pinterest.
- Build a culture of excellence and expertise within the team.
What we're looking for:
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, ML, NLP, Statistics, Information Sciences, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading and working on a large-scale production recommendation, e-commerce, search or ads systems that are based on state-of-the-art machine learning and big data technology.
- Strong experience in related fields such as recommendation systems and applied machine learning experience is required. Natural language processing and computer vision is a bonus.
- Demonstrated ability to define and drive the strategic roadmap for scalable, production-quality systems from concept to execution.
- Strong focus on product impact and user experience within a consumer-focused environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience managing a high-performing machine learning engineering team of 10+ members.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.
