Job Purpose

Reliability Development Engineers are responsible for validating the body and/or chassis strength, durability, and marketability to meet Honda’s internal requirements and model specific targets with a goal of meeting or exceeding Honda and Acura customer expectations. You will be in charge of delivering full vehicle computational and testing results for body and/or chassis systems with available guidance as you continue to expand your technical knowledge and deepen your expertise in automotive development.

Key Accountabilities
  • Produce and analyze engineering data using pre-set tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.Β 
  • Responsible for planning, preparing, and coordinating various aspects of exterior performance tests including arrangement of facilities, requesting technician support, and acquiring testing materials.
  • Physically support tests including confirmation that test setups are correct and that test plans are understood and executed to intent.
  • Prepare moderately complex documentation for review by technical leadership to record and submit all necessary development / testing / research information per the determined schedule.
  • Help coordinate and execute root cause analysis, countermeasure activites, and improvement intiatives to technical leadership
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experienceΒ

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Experience in data analysis and communication of complex information to engineering management is desired.

Job Purpose

Lead the accounting and financial reporting activities (including monthly/quarterly/annual financial/SOX audits) of AHM Automobile Business Segment I in accordance with IFRS/US GAAP/SOX as well as collaborating with North American Honda subsidiaries for automobile business performance, including inventory valuation, cost of sales, and vehicle service contract accounting.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage and review AHM financial reporting and account analyses for Automobile Segments, with a main focus on inventory, cost of sales, and vehicle service contract accounting
  • Coordinate AHM quarterly/annual financial audit (including SOX compliance)
  • Prepare/present account analysis from business performance perspectives to management (esp. for key areas such as retail and wholesale sales results)
  • Implement new accounting standards/modify existing reporting in accordance with IFRS/write accounting memos for new transactions, drawing accounting treatment conclusions based on appropriate accounting guidance, working closely with AHM and other NA entities in the rapidly changing Honda re-org activities
  • Develop/train staff by transferring knowledge/providing challenging work/asking questions for process improvements
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field
  • 7+ years in accounting/finance
  • Public/accounting or accounting in a distribution/manufacturing company
  • Technical Accounting analysis under IFRS/US GAAP and application
  • Management/supervising experience

Job Purpose
  • This role requires collaborating with cross-functional divisions to develop automotive body structures and components in the Underbody Design department that meet or exceed customer expectations while balancing vehicle performance, styling, marketability, manufacturing, profitability, and other design constraints & considerations.
  • Design responsibilities may include both structural and/or styled parts in the engine room, floor, and bumper areas utilizing a variety of materials (steel, aluminum, plastics, composites, etc.) as well as manufacturing processes (stamping, injection molding, extrusion, casting, etc.).
  • Additional responsibilities may include researching & developing new technologies for future vehicle applications. Β 
Key Accountabilities
  • Create and/or manage creation of 3D models, layouts, and 2D drawings using CATIA. Β Responsibility may include more parts than an entry-level engineer and/or more complicated/challenging parts/systems.
  • Correlate and negotiate with internal Honda contacts including other design departments, test departments, styling studio, factories and purchasing. Β Consistently able to document meeting results, including clear schedule of path forward & individuals responsible.
  • Lead part development activities with suppliers, setting design targets and confirming prospect to achieve requirements, often without oversight from technical or team leadership.
  • Support part and vehicle verification, including developing countermeasures as necessary. Β Actively participate in generating C/M ideas & make a proposal when facing a problem.
  • Β Estimate and manage part cost, weight, and investment throughout development, including review of supplier quotes. Β Additionally, generate new VA ideas for responsible parts.

  • Minimum Educational Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum Experience:
    • 2 to 7 years of relevant industry experience
  • Other Job-Specific Skills:
