Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Determines condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use, logging inspection, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects the load by complying with the organization policies, procedures, highway rules and regulations.
  • Makes deliveries of product to specific customers using dolly or hand truck.
  • Provides customer service by listening and resolving customer concerns.
  • May collect payment from customers and reconcile the assigned load with receipts and delivery invoice.
  • Returns empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise by making appropriate collections from customers.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) and 1-2 years related delivery experience.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills with high levels of professionalism. Bi-lingual a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to lift cases 45-65lbs which is the average weight on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently sit, stand, bend, squat, and reach.
  • Frequently climb into and out of truck.

Position Purpose:

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers!

The CDL-B Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
  • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately reports all safety hazards. Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
  • Performs count check of items and checks customer invoices of products that have been loaded.
  • Checks and completes in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight.
  • Moves tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
  • Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
  • Unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
  • Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collects money (cash or checks) where required.
  • Loads customer returns on to trailer and secure trailer doors.
  • Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
  • Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unloads all equipment, materials and removes trash from trailers as required.
  • Completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keeps trailers clear and clean as required.
  • At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

12 months commercial driving experience

Valid CDL-B

Must be 21+ years of age

Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)

Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years

Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Pass road test

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
  • May visit 10-12 customer sites per day
  • Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions
  • Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks
  • Up-sell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field
  • Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses
  • Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner
  • Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
  • Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
  • Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Who We're Looking For:
We're looking for experienced CDL B drivers that have passenger endorsement and air brake.
Requirements:
Valid CDL B driver's license
Clean driving record
Strong customer service skills & ability to remain calm under pressure
Ability to pass a DOT medical exam
Ability to pass a drug & alcohol screening
Available at least 3 full days per week (for charters)
Willing to be away overnight occasionally (for charters)
Ability to work independently
Ability to maintain a Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement & Air Brakes
Your Role as a Route Bus Driver:

* Perform pre-trip inspections & monitor vehicle condition
* Operate a bus on a designated route & schedule
* Practice defensive driving & follow all traffic laws
* Assist passengers, including those with disabilities
* Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers
* Provide accurate route & schedule information
* Complete required paperwork, including safety reports

Schedule & Work Hours:

* Route drivers have set schedules
* Full-time positions are available based on performance & company needs
* Work hours vary ranging from 6 am to 9 pm.

Candidates must be customer focused to ensure that the experience at every stop exceeds their expectations. As a Route Sales Driver you will start out learning the business riding with another driver/supervisor and then once qualified move up to supervise the sales and route of your own truck.

Responsibilities include:

- Responsible for day to day route operations including sales, collection of cores, inventory of customer’s batteries, as well as inventory on the truck.

- Candidates must have at least a Class B CDL.

Route Drivers have a base pay with a bonus package based on the key elements of operating our routes to their maximum potential that allows the potential candidate to make up to 65+k a year in total compensation. In addition to the base pay and bonus package, we offer a $2500 sign-on bonus and a generous benefits including 1 week vacation in the first year, paid time off, uniforms, healthcare coverage, retirement plan and a support staff second to none in our industry.

This is a Very physical job which entails some heavy lifting at times which will be evaluated during the interview process.

The retail location this position will be based out of is located at 4638 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Cottleville MO 63376. You will be required to load there at least twice a week.
