Working directly with and mentored by senior managers, Senior Operations Analyst uses analytics to solve cross-functional strategic problems and drives process improvement throughout the organization. Key Requirements:

- Operating experience in manufacturing or consumer business
- Experience using data for root-causing cross-functional business problems

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day performance of Ship Essentialβs New York warehouse. This role leads the building with urgency, discipline, and a strong floor presence. Operational Accountability
- Take primary ownership of daily warehouse performance, ensuring SLAs are met or exceeded every day.
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including inbound, outbound, inventory control, and exceptions, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with company goals.

- Ensure labor hours, materials, and value-added services are tracked accurately and charged appropriately to brands.
- Control labor costs through disciplined scheduling and productivity management, aligning workforce levels to demand.
- Monitor spend and operational waste and drive corrective actions when performance drifts from targets.
- Focus on the performance and development of Operations Managers and Leads, ensuring they have the resources, training, and support needed to succeed.
- Actively coach, lead, and manage managers, stepping in alongside them to tackle challenges and lead by example.

- Audit, improve, and execute on workflows across receiving, inventory movement, picking, packing, returns, and exceptions to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drive improvements to warehouse metrics, including order accuracy, on-time shipment, inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock timing, and returns SLA.

Position Overview
The Senior Operations Manager plays an important role in ensuring our organization runs smoothly and responsibly in support of our mission. This position blends hands-on administrative work with systems coordination to support a team of eight dedicated staff members.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this role helps maintain efficient, accurate, and compliant internal operations, enabling programs and services to thrive. The position works closely with leadership and staff across the organization and does not include direct supervision of staff.
Core responsibilities include financial administration, donor database stewardship, board support, compliance tracking, HR coordination, and ongoing improvement of internal systems and workflows.

Financial Administration & Bookkeeping
Process mail, deposits, bill pay, and check distribution
Maintain organized accounts payable and receivable documentation
Reconcile monthly credit card statements and collect supporting receipts
Enter and code transactions in QuickBooks, attaching documentation
Generate financial reports for internal tracking and audit preparation
Assist with annual audit preparation in coordination with finance support

Location & Work Structure
This role is based in Gettysburg, PA and requires an in-person presence to start.
We anticipate the first 4β6 months being primarily on-site to support training, relationship-building, and deep understanding of our operations.
Following this initial period, a hybrid schedule will be supported for the right candidate, with regular in-person collaboration still expected.
