Departmental Overview
The Gender Equity Resource Center (GenEq) advances gender equity, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and a welcoming campus climate for all at UC Berkeley. As the campus hub for gender and sexuality education, engagement, and support, GenEq works to cultivate learning environments, policies, and programs that foster access, belonging, and success for people of all genders and sexualities, with particular attention to the experiences of women and LGBTQ+ communities. Core program areas include LGBTQ+ initiatives, Women's initiatives, Men & Masculinities initiatives, and Sexual and Relationship Violence awareness and resource referral. GenEq is part of the Centers for Educational Justice and Community Engagement (EJCE).
The Centers for Educational Justice and Community Engagement (EJCE) is collaborative charged with developing programs, activities, and strategies that promote students' academic progress and success by engaging them through intersectional and multicultural practices that acknowledge and celebrate their individual and collective experiences. The EJCE collaborative coordinates a series of academic courses and educational and multicultural activities through its centers & offices (African American Student Development, Fannie Lou Hamer Black Resource Center, Asian Pacific American Student Development, Chicanx Latinx Student Development, Latinx Student Resource Center, the Gender Equity Resource Center, Multicultural Community Center, Native American Student Development and the Native Community Center, and South Asian, Southwest Asian, and North African Student Development. The collaborative is a key campus partner in helping the campus create an inclusive environment for campus populations through intersectional and transformative practices and approaches focused on mitigating harm and promoting connections among and across diverse communities. Each partner space is steeped in rich and vibrant legacies and established community-centered praxes of educational justice: leadership development, access, activism, academic excellence and social justice. Our work reflects interconnected identities and experiences through our collective and individual commitments to support and advance future global leaders.
The EJCE team is housed within the Division of Equity & Inclusion.
Position Summary
The Assistant Director for Training & Education develops and implements educational initiatives that advance gender equity across all genders-including women, men, nonbinary and transgender individuals-LGBTQ+ inclusion, and intersectional justice at UC Berkeley. This position designs and facilitates in-person and online training sessions, develops curriculum and digital learning tools, and supervises student peer educators to expand campus understanding of GenEq's mission and values. The role also raises campus awareness of healthy relationships and dating violence by integrating accessible, culturally responsive content into GenEq's education and training portfolio.

Responsibilities
Educational Program & Curriculum Development
Designs, develops, and implements curriculum, workshops, and training materials that reflect GenEq's values and address topics such as gender, gender equity, sexuality, LGBTQ+ and Women's inclusion, sexism, healthy relationships, and social justice.Ensures materials are accessible, culturally responsive, and evidence-based.
Facilitation & Training Delivery
Plans and facilitates interactive education sessions for diverse campus audiences in both in-person and virtual environments.Adapts content and style to meet learner needs and promotes inclusive dialogue on complex or sensitive topics.
Online Learning & Digital Content Development
Develops or collaborates on the creation of online learning modules, multimedia content, and digital tools that expand access to GenEq's educational resources.Works with campus instructional design and communications teams to maintain and evaluate these platforms.
Peer Education & Student Supervision
Recruits, trains, and supervises student peer educators and interns engaged in outreach, education, and advocacy.Provides mentorship, professional development, and performance feedback.
Assessment, Reporting & Collaboration
Collects and analyzes feedback and participation data to assess learning outcomes and program effectiveness.Prepares reports for GenEq, EJCE, the Division of Equity & Inclusion, and campus partners.Builds strong collaborative relationships across EJCE spaces and other university departments to integrate equity education campus-wide.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and assess educational curriculum, workshops, and learning modules focused on inclusion and social justice.Advanced skill in facilitating in-person and virtual workshops, dialogues, and training sessions on complex or sensitive topics with a variety of audiences.Deep understanding of gender equity, LGBTQ+ inclusion, intersectionality, and community-centered educational practices, including knowledge of women's experiences, sexism, and the dynamics of relationship and dating violence. Preferred Qualifications

Under California law, the University of California, Berkeley is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The budgeted annual salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $83,000.00 - $103,000.00.
This is an exempt monthly-paid position.

Job Description
Overview:
In this role you will be responsible for transporting, loading, and unloading goods as well as confirming accuracy and safely delivering contents. Must be dependable & accountable with a clean driving record.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and safely drive a large straight truck
- Transport goods and packages to assigned destinations
- Ensure contents are properly secured inside of truck to prevent damage
- Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods at selected destinations
- Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document
- Obtain signatures to confirm receipt of goods
- Collect payment if necessary (based on customers terms)
- Communicate with dispatch/management as needed
- Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
- Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean, this includes cleaning out the box and cab of your truck on a weekly basis
- Maintain and report any service needed on your vehicle to management
- Note and contact management of any major issues encountered
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs, track and report hours using ELD
- Adhere to company rules and regulations, making safely a priority at all times
- Obey all traffic laws and comply with all DOT regulations
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- CDL Class B License
- 1-2 years of experience driving a large straight truck preferred but not required
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Must pass background check and drug test
- Skilled and confident driver who is alert and focused
- Detail oriented, able to catch any mistakes at time of delivery
- Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
- Disciplined, dependable with a high level of composure and good stress management
- Good verbal and written communication skills, basic mathematical skills
- Able to read and understand English preferred buy not required
- Punctual, dependable and reliable
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and/or move boxes that weight 20-60 lb.
- Occasionally lift and/or move boxes that weigh 60-90 lb.
- Physically fit and able to use a two-wheeler loaded with product between 100-300#
- Able to stand/work/sit for extended periods of time.
- Able to work in a refrigerated environment for short amount of time which can range from 30 - 45 degrees.
- Able to operate pallet jacks while loading and unloading trucks

- Weekly Schedule Monday - Friday, 7:00am* - 5:00pm*

Job Summary
The Kirkland Parks and Community Services Department is seeking multiple Recreation Leads to support day, evening, and weekend operations at the Kirkland Teen Union Building. This position performs miscellaneous clerical tasks, minor maintenance and cleaning as needs, provides excellent customer service, leads Recreation Attendants in various projects, and engages youth in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate enjoys working with youth (ages range from infants to 17, dependent on program).
Essential Functions
Depending on your work hours, you may perform all or part of the following functions.
- Engage and role model engaging with teens during drop-in hours in various activities
- Engage with preschool-aged youth and their caregivers
- Lead and assist with programs, special events, classes, and activities offered during teen drop-in hours
- Set up and take down equipment and furniture for programs, events, and drop-in hours
- Assist with leading Recreation Attendants in various projects, tasks, and programs
- Prepare and distribute paperwork and supplies to program and event locations.
- Greet and assist program participants and the public in person and over the phone.

Hours of Work
The hours of work listed below are ideal, but open to change, dependent on candidate availability. This role works no more than 17 hours per week. It is expected to begin mid-to-late February. Staff are scheduled a month in advance. The ideal candidate can work one of the following shifts but be flexible with working hour changes (with advanced notice). Hours of work may shift during the summer due to programming.
- Shift 1 typical work hours: (September - mid-June) Tuesday, Thursday from 2:15PM-8:15PM and occasional Saturdays from 9:00AM - 3:15PM
- Shift 2 typical work hours: (September - mid-June) Tuesday, Thursday from 9:00AM-2:00PM and Wednesday 9:00AM-12:45PM
- Shift 3: dependent on facility needs
Additional opportunities for hours may be available during the summer and some weekends for facility rentals and recreation programs but are strictly on-call and aren't guaranteed.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving deal flow, structuring acquisitions, sourcing debt capital, and executing transactions.
