We're looking for a new Alterations Manager at our Strongsville location! We're looking for experienced *Seamstress/Tailors with prior management experience.
Job Description:
Managers at Alterations Express are responsible for conducting, and managing the flow of customer fittings, taking payments, processing orders with our state-of-the-art POS system, providing excellent customer service, store scheduling, managing bridal appointments, and managing personnel requirements within our location.
**We are seeking candidates with prior experience in the alterations and tailoring industry, specifically skilled sewists who desire a hybrid position that combines management, customer service, and sewing responsibilities.
Managers can also expect to provide new hires with on-the-job training and education regarding alterations and tailoring of both men’s and women’s clothing. This role encourages mentorship within our stores and is meant for applicants who thrive in a management role.

An Alterations Specialists is responsible for providing exemplary sewing expertise in-house at our Los Angeles Flagship on Melrose Place. This includes but not limited to: expectations related to fit, custom modifications, and re-sizing of garments.
ABOUT YOU
- 5+ years of sewing experience in evening gowns or bridal alterations environment
- Specialty in handling lace, beadwork, silks and tulle
- Advanced technical skills (sewing, pattern, draping, construction)
- Experience operating an industrial sewing machine and industrial pressing iron
- Expert knowledge of garment construction/fit
- Ability to maintain professional communication with colleagues
- Ability to multitask projects and manage time in an in a team environment
- Availability to work 8+ hour days and be available on nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment based on business needs
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Sew garments fitted and assigned by Alterations Manager in a timely manner
- Handle all aspects of sewing: machine sewing, hand finishing, draping, cutting, bustling, pressing,
- Accurately measure and mark garments according to Monique Lhuillier Alterations guideline
- Responsible for starting and completing individually assigned projects
- Follow and complete alterations instructions provided from an instructions card
- Capable to customize such as downsizing or upsizing, creating sleeves, creating coverage, etc.
A reasonable estimate of the current hourly rate is $23.00 - $32.00, annualized from $47,840 - $66,560. The rate of pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
If chosen for the interview, you will be required to pass a sewing skills test. A fully pinned garment will be presented to you to execute. The alterations will consist of a combination of work on the bust, zipper, hem, and handwork.

The Selling Supervisor (Sales Manager) supports the Store Manager and the store team through effective execution of sales plans and assists with operational management tasks while being responsible for their own personal sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
-Perform general and skilled landscaping.

Responsibilities:
- Performing general repair and alteration of various costumes
- Operating sewing equipment
- Assisting in the laundering of costumes
- Constructing special costumes and specialty show projects as assigned
- Maintaining the structural integrity and design of the Licensed Characters as to not distort the appearance of the characters
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for Guests and Team Members

Qualifications:

Please Click here to Appy: Property Manager will oversee a portfolio of residential co-ops and condominiums, ensuring operations meet Argo Real Estate’s high standards for client service, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. This hands-on professional will be the primary liaison between board members, residents, building staff, and service providers, while driving efficiency, maintaining property value, and fostering positive community relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Client Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for boards, residents, attorneys, architects, engineers, and staff.
- Maintain strong, responsive communication to ensure client satisfaction.
- Provide guidance to building committees and enforce house rules and governing documents.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all NYC housing laws, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Address and resolve building violations promptly; attend administrative hearings when necessary.
Staff Management
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise building staff.
- Oversee weekly payroll approval, review overtime usage against budget, and manage performance evaluations (mid-year and year-end).
- Administer disciplinary actions in coordination with 32BJ union protocols and attend labor hearings/arbitrations as needed.
Capital Projects & Maintenance
- Manage capital improvement projects and significant repairs, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and timely completion.
- Obtain and review at least three bids for projects, level proposals, and secure board approval.
- Conduct site visits weekly to assess conditions and monitor progress.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to acquire goods and services.
- Negotiate and review service contracts, monitor performance, and approve invoices.
- Maintain positive vendor relationships to ensure service quality.
Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets; attend budget and mid-year review meetings with the board and Finance team.
- Approve invoices, assign chargebacks, and monitor arrears in accordance with board policy.
- Review monthly financials with the Financial Analyst, investigate major variances, and recommend reclassifications as necessary.
- Assist with annual audits.
Unit Alterations
- Review and approve alteration applications, verify insurance coverage, and coordinate with architects if required.
- Communicate project details to the board, superintendent, and neighboring residents.
Board & Annual Meetings
- Prepare agendas with board input; distribute at least three days prior to meetings.
- Lead board meetings, present operational and financial updates, and take minutes.
- Manage follow-up on action items via the Argo HUB system.
- Coordinate annual meetings, including venue, catering, and attendance by attorneys/accountants.
Internal Argo Responsibilities
- Complete weekly Argo HUB updates and maintain active communication with internal departments.
- Participate in weekly PM meetings, town halls, and one-on-one meetings with your Director of Client Services.
- Mentor and guide assigned PMAs (Property Management Assistants), ensuring regular property visits and professional development.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of NYC residential co-op and condo management experience (required).
- Knowledge:
- Proficiency in budgeting, building systems, maintenance operations, and staff supervision.
- Familiarity with NYC housing laws, building codes, and union contracts (32BJ).
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
