Job Description

Lighthouse is seeking passionate and dedicated Behavior Technicians to join our team of professionals. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism and other special needs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. 

As you build a relationship with children and their families, your work will directly contribute to their growth, development, and improved quality of life.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a Behavior Technician at Lighthouse will include the following:

  • Implement ABA therapy techniques under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to children, following individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.

  • Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and behavioral skills in a supportive and structured environment.

  • Foster a positive and engaging therapeutic relationship with clients, promoting their independence and well-being.

  • Conduct assessments, collect data, and track progress to ensure effective treatment outcomes.

  • Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team members to review progress, address concerns, and modify treatment plans as necessary.

  • Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers, providing updates on therapy goals, progress, and strategies for generalization of skills to the home setting.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapy sessions, including progress notes and data collection.

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in ABA therapy.

Job Description

The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors and senior leadership to execute the vision and mission of the organization; strengthen, implement, and expand core program work and operations; serve as a key representative to coalition allies, community groups, elected officials, and media; and provide senior leadership for internal oversight, administration, fundraising, and organizational development.


Leadership and Management

  • Provide vision and collaborate with the Board of Directors and staff to set the organization’s strategic direction rooted in mission and values.
  • Ensure programmatic excellence, rigorous evaluation, and consistent quality across finance, administration, fundraising, communications, and systems.

A full-service, 20-attorney law firm near the Queens / Nassau County, Long Island (close to LIRR) is hiring an Attorney, Commercial Transactions at the Associate, Senior Associate, Counsel, or possibly the Partner level, DOE, w/ a clear path to a PARTNER position to LEAD the Commercial Transactions Group in an orderly transition, to replace a partner departing the firm in 1-2 yrs.

Culture: Partners are committed to a limit of 1600 billable hours/yr in order to prioritize personal well-being, and better manage work / life boundaries and life's demands outside of work.

The departing partner works in several capacities/Groups for the firm, allocating about 50% of his time to the Commercial Transactions Group; it's therefore CRITICALLY IMPORTANT for the new hire to join the firm WITH a portable BOOK OF BUSINESS to fill (at least) 50% of their time / workload. Responsibilities
