Planner / Continuous Improvement Manager

Position Overview

Virginia Transformer Corporation is seeking a Planner / Continuous Improvement Manager to support operations at our Troutville, Virginia Junction Box manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for production planning, workflow optimization, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, throughput, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and manage production schedules to support customer demand and delivery timelines.

McLean is looking for a Dredge Project Manager to join our growing Dredge Division team in Chesapeake, VA.

Dredge Project Managers have profit/loss and overall responsibility for each project they are assigned to, and work in tandem with Project Superintendents, Engineers and the Construction/Operations/Division Manager(s) to ensure projects are successfully completed safely, on time and on budget. They collaborate with field supervisors on a daily basis and act as the Company's primary point of contact when communicating, negotiating or trouble-shooting contractual, commercial or technical issues with the Owner. DPMs also work closely with the Construction/Operations/Division Manager(s) to coordinate and develop the careers of field supervisors on their projects, as well as write and approve purchase orders and subcontracts, develop the budget, and regularly update cost and revenue projections for their projects. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Understands the importance of maintaining horizontal and vertical control of underwater grades (dredge templates), pay verses non-pay quantities, the use of hydrographic surveys to monitor job progress and billings, and has the ability to read & review these surveys and bucket files to ensure efficiency of dredge operations.

Actively manages project personnel and the layout, function, and appearance of the project sites.

When not based in a field office, regularly visits jobsites of assigned projects to coordinate with field supervisors to optimize project operations and ensure projects are completed in conformance with contract requirements.

Possesses capability to read, review, and interpret procedures, drawings, manuals, and specifications.

Performs and is proficient in geometrical and mathematical calculations.

Displays high proficiency in basic computer systems and software including dredging software and hydrographic surveys.

Writes, reviews, and negotiates contracts for material purchases and subcontracting services with pricing and terms favorable to McLean.

Identifies extra work situations, provides timely notice to the owner and seeks recovery of costs.

Assists in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts.

Education and/or Experience

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology and 5 years of related experience. A combination of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience in dredging, heavy civil and marine construction, and cost estimating is highly valued.

The Role

The Program Manager – Business Plan Projects will lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives directly tied to Virginia Transformer's strategic Business Plan. Position Summary

We are seeking a Program Manager to organize and lead multi-project equipment and services fulfillment execution for mission-critical data center customers. Based in Roanoke, VA, this role will oversee and align multiple programs and projects across the customer lifecycle — including Project Management (PM), Aligned Delivery, Commissioning Assist (Cx-Assist), and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) programs.

The position will engage with product sale-side logistics including vessel tracing, scheduling and destination shipping of commercial grade purity NGL's to balance daily production inventories and maintain plant operational success. BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity for an Engineer I/Engineer II/Sr Engineer or Sr Engineer II within our Drilling, Rework and Stimulation group located at our White Oaks General Office in Bridgeport, WV.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is responsible for drilling new wells, reworking existing wells, plugging and abandoning wells, changing out of wellheads and completing stimulation events on gas storage wells. It provides project management and construction support for storage operation and maintenance initiatives from conceptual stage through successful implementation.

Other duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Oversight of outside consultants or contractors
  • Preparing cost estimates and forecasts
  • Project management and construction support
  • Request for proposals and professional services
  • Negotiations with vendors
  • Invoice review and approval


QUALIFICATIONS

Engineer I:
0-2 years of related engineering experience

Engineering degree from an accredited college/university, Internship preferred.

Engineer II:

Engineering degree from an accredited college/university and 1-3 years' experience.

Sr Engineer/Sr. Engineer II:

Engineering degree from an accredited college/university and 5 years industry experience. PE license preferred.

Engineer I/ Engineer II:
  • Four-year ABET accredited engineering degree (Engineer)
  • Ability to monitor changes in technology with skill in developing, testing and recommending new ideas and strategies for the utilization of those changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports, project schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Ability to lead, work independently, communicate effectively, and establish rapport.
  • Ability to define problems, collect accurate data, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively operate a personal computer and common software applications.

Sr Engineer/Sr Engineer II:
  • Four-year ABET accredited engineering degree (Engineer).
  • Full knowledge of engineering theories and principles.
  • Skilled in use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).
  • Strong personal computer skills.
  • Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices.

Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.
