Position Summary:

Qualifications:

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

CLASS CHARACTERISTICS

This is the advanced journey level classification in the Maintenance Technician series responsible for performing specialized maintenance work in an assigned area. Incumbents regularly work on tasks which are varied and complex, requiring considerable discretion and independent judgment, and provide lead direction to a work unit of lower-level staff. Positions in the classification rely on experience and judgment to perform assigned duties. Assignments are given with general guidelines and incumbents are responsible for establishing objectives, timelines, and methods to complete assignments.   • Performs daily inspection of the City's irrigation systems; identifies safety or repair issues; troubleshoots electrical problems related to systems and equipment; performs repairs to system components; assigns minor maintenance repairs to contractors as needed.
  • Evaluates irrigation needs based on a variety of factors including weather conditions, event schedules, and equipment performance; makes recommendations for system improvements.
  • Coordinates the installation and testing of backflow devices; ensures devices are certified and in compliance with regulatory requirements.


When assigned to traffic device section:

  • Fabricates, paints, and installs traffic control signs, legends, symbols, and devices in accordance with traffic and vehicle control codes and ordinances.
  • Determines letter and sign size to be used and sets up and operates vacuum applicator to affix facing and lettering to sign blanks.
  • Prepares stencils; spaces and aligns stencils and paints road surface control legends; applies reflective, rumble and other raised pavement surface markings.
  • Performs and assists in the installation of traffic warning, speed control, and other signs; paints traffic guards, barricades and raised traffic bars on pavement.
  • Fabricates, maintains, and stocks signs and materials; fabricates or refurbishes signs as necessary.
  • Measures and lays out, in the field, traffic channelization intersection markings and pavement legends; places painting and safety equipment at job site.


When assigned to stormwater section:

  • Inspects, maintains, operates, and manages pump stations telemetry, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Inspects stormwater infrastructure such as storm drains, catch basins, culverts, and detention/retention ponds to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Conducts inspections of stormwater facilities to identify potential issues or needed repairs; and oversees and performs repairs as necessary.
  • Performs and assists in larger repair projects or upgrades, which may involve excavation, installation of new drainage pipes, and construction of new stormwater management facilities.
  • Ensures that all stormwater management activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Participates in the preparation and maintenance of records and reports related to stormwater management activities, inspections, and maintenance.
  • Responds to stormwater-related emergencies, such as flooding or blockages, to mitigate immediate risks and damage; implements emergency response procedures to handle stormwater overflow and prevent environmental contamination.
  • Collects data on stormwater system performance, including flow rates, pollutant levels, and infrastructure condition.

The Capital Projects Coordinator is considered a journey level classification and performs engineering, architecture, construction management and/or project management responsibilities. The Role We Want You For

The Associate / Senior Associate – Capital Markets supports CRG’s regional offices, Capital Markets team, and senior leadership through financial analysis of new development opportunities, active projects, and the broader CRG development platform.
