Lactalis US Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Maintenance Assistant Manager based in Casa Grande, AZ.


The Assistant Manager, Maintenance is responsible for supporting and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the floor maintenance team. This role ensures the safe and effective operation of plant systems, processes, and equipment while promoting a strong safety culture. The Assistant Manager, Maintenance will also collaborate closely with cross-functional support teams to ensure maintenance activities align with the company's goals, values, and operational standards.


From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Ensure all aspects of plant safety and quality are upheld in accordance with plant and departmental procedures.
  • Lead and manage skilled maintenance technicians, schedules, and services to build a proactive, high-performing maintenance team that supports production equipment and plant operations.
  • Establish and manage departmental priorities and work allocation to strengthen overall plant performance, improve mechanical reliability, and reduce downtime.
  • Develop, coach, and train team members to support employee growth, skills development, and career progression.
  • Support in-house training programs that build core competencies within the maintenance department, ensuring accurate and timely evaluation and repair of mechanical, electrical, programming, and process-related issues.
  • Maintain accountability for maintenance department performance, including technical downtime and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the department's vision and master plan in alignment with production needs, while fostering strong preventive maintenance (PM) programs and encouraging operator ownership.
  • Drive the development and implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in collaboration with operations teams.
  • Ensure all equipment, systems, and processes across the facility are maintained and operated in compliance with applicable regulatory standards, including PMO, OSHA, EPA, FDA, and other governing agencies.
  • Champion environmental, safety, and quality initiatives that reinforce the company's core values through technical implementation and process improvements at the plant level.
  • Assist in managing the maintenance department budget and ensure adherence to established financial parameters.

Environmental Responsibilities

  • Oversee the effective implementation of quality standards, programs, and processes to improve operational efficiencies and reduce or eliminate production waste and spoilage.
  • Support company environmental programs, including recycling initiatives and energy conservation efforts such as powering down equipment and systems when not in use.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact while managing operational costs.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Perform all job duties in a safe manner and lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Oversee the implementation of and adherence to company safety programs and practices, holding team members accountable for maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required; major in industrial or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience within a maintenance function, including at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing core maintenance services in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience utilizing a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) approach preferred.
  • Exposure to reducing technical downtime (TD), overtime (OT), mean time between failures (MTBF), and work order (WO) completion times.
  • Experience managing actual maintenance costs versus budgeted maintenance costs.
  • Experience developing preventive maintenance (PM) programs and validating effectiveness against technical downtime performance.
  • Proven ability to prioritize maintenance and business needs on a monthly basis to flex spending and achieve operational goals.
  • Experience working with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Infor experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing both hourly and salaried employees to build a proactive, skilled, and adaptable maintenance team.
  • Ability and willingness to support plant operations during off-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute inventory management and preventive maintenance plans on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to establish processes and programs while working independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.

Position Purpose:

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition and are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers!

The Driver is responsible for driving a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip), including tractor/truck and trailer inspections according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and takes appropriate action as needed. Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
  • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Immediately reports all safety hazards. Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
  • Performs a count check of items and checks customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Checks and completes in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight.
  • Moves the tractor to the loading dock and attach the preloaded trailer as needed.
  • Drives to and delivers customer orders according to the predetermined route delivery schedule. Unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts the supervisor about removing orders according to company policy. Verifies delivery of items with the customer and obtains proper signatures. Collects money (cash or checks) where required.
  • Loads customer returns on to trailer and secures trailer doors. Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
  • Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unloads all equipment, material,s and remove trash from trailers as required.
  • Completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

About the Division
The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) is responsible for maintaining and improving Broward County's roadway infrastructure. This includes operating and maintaining three bascule bridges, over 90 fixed bridges, and managing mosquito control operations. HBMD also oversees stormwater drainage improvements, sidewalk repairs, street resurfacing and patching, guardrail maintenance, and right-of-way mowing and cleaning.

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and execution of roadway, drainage, and bridge maintenance and repair projects. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, functionality, and longevity of Broward County's transportation infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing public works projects from inception through completion, including design, procurement, construction oversight, and documentation. Strong communication skills and proficiency in project management tools and design software are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage infrastructure projects from planning through construction closeout
  • Prepare construction plans using GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
  • Develop technical specifications and bid documents
  • Conduct field reviews and on-site construction inspections
  • Compile and maintain project documentation, including contractor invoicing and as-built records
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure timely milestone completion

SCOPE OF WORK

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.

Develops and prepares engineering plans and designs for a variety of construction projects; estimates quantities and costs of such projects.

Assists consultants in the development of construction projects; issues work orders to consultants, surveyors and testing labs; reviews consultants' plans and specifications at various stages of development for conformance to design standards, completeness and accuracy; monitors consultants' cost estimates and verifies consultant's invoices and recommends payment.

Coordinates bid advertisements; schedules and assists in conducting pre-bid conferences; assists in evaluating bids and making recommendations for award of contract.

Schedules and assists in conducting pre-bid construction meetings with consultants, contractors and subcontractors; issues Notice to Proceed to contractors; reviews field inspection reports.

Assists in the preparation of schedules and monitors construction progress; assists in the preparation of change orders; maintains records of consultant's payments.

Assists in the inspection of projects for substantial completion and prepares punch list of any deficiencies; arranges for correction of defects by contractor during warranty period and conducts inspection at end of warranty period to ensure correction of defects.

Prepares required paperwork for capitalizing and closing the project; performs special investigations, sites analyses and feasibility studies as required and submits technical and management reports.

Meets with consultants, contractors, utility organizations, city, state, federal agencies, civic associations, business and community leaders, property owners and attorneys; assists with the preparation of the budget for capital expenditures.

Makes recommendations regarding hiring, discipline and promotions of subordinates; authorizes leave; evaluates employee performance.

Perform basic installation, repair and replacement of parking gate components.

Job Duty 2 -
Perform general maintenance and upkeep of parking lots and garages to include installation and painting of signs and meter poles, layout and stripping of stalls, leaf blowing and trash removal and garage lighting replacement.

Job Duty 3 -
Perform minor repairs to asphalt surfaces.

Job Duty 4 -
Perform preventive maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles and maintenance equipment.

Job Duty 5 -
Load, unload, move and/or install equipment, fixtures and other items.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Apartment renovations and turns/Make-Ready
  • Exterior preventative maintenance
  • Complete work-orders in an effective and timely manner
  • Standard handyman work including appliance repair & troubleshooting, painting, plumbing, light electric, light carpentry, & patching drywall.
  • Porter/Grounds keeping work during downtime.

Maintenance Skills Desired

    • 1+ year of experience as an Apartment Maintenance/Service Technician
    • General knowledge of basic residential carpentry, sheetrock, painting, plumbing, and electrical

    • Experience in HVAC and EPA 608 preferred but not required

  • The Maintenance Technician will conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations (such as Lead Based Paint, ADA, Fair Housing, HAZCOM Program, OSHA, etc.).

  • Must be aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct any unsafe condition.

Department Information

Housing and Residence Life is passionate about the Georgia Tech residential student experience. With 97% of all first-year students choosing to live on campus, we create spaces and opportunities for Yellow Jackets to grow and connect from their first day of college through their graduate studies. Our department is a large and complex organization supporting over 8,700 on-campus residents among 49 traditional halls, suites, and apartments, some of which were constructed for the 1996 Summer Olympics. Job Summary

Perform a variety of basic, semi-skilled mechanical and building trade tasks in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, and in performing simple construction and fabrication work within assigned facilities. This position will interact on a consistent basis with the unit supervisor and staff members.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Inspect assigned buildings, fixtures, machines, appliances, and other units; note where maintenance or repair is required.

Job Duty 2 -
Perform basic maintenance and repair services on appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, etc.

Job Duty 3 -
Perform installation of lavatory fixtures, ceilings, floor tiles, locks, glass, doors, etc.

Job Duty 4 -
Perform fabrication and finishing of walls, shelving, cabinetry, storage areas, etc., in the construction of remodeled or expanded facilities.

Job Duty 5 -
Coordinate maintenance and construction work performed by contractors.

Job Duty 6 -
May provide design input.

Job Duty 7 -Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned B&H portfolio. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Team Oversight

  • Oversee and support property level Service Managers and maintenance staff across assigned B&H properties.
  • Train, mentor, and support the development of maintenance team members. Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance throughout the maintenance team.

Preventive Maintenance and Asset Preservation

  • Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend the life of community assets.
  • Perform regular property inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs, safety risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Confirm accurate replacement of capital items, ensuring proper evaluation of repair vs. replacement decisions.
  • Ensure standard response expectations are met: completion of work orders within 48 hours (excluding emergencies) and unit turns within five (5) working days, unless otherwise directed by the Community Manager.

Project Coordination and Capital Improvements

  • Partner with Operations Managers to schedule and execute renovation and capital improvement projects.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and vendor performance to ensure timely and quality outcomes.

Regulatory and Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA regulations and local, state, and federal laws.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing all maintenance and facilities operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance of plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure. This role manages the maintenance staff, work order system, preventive maintenance program, and capital improvement projects. The Maintenance Manager will coordinate closely and share resources with the Senior Maintenance Advisor, Mfg Engineering, Technical Services/Machine Shop and Production to ensure projects and maintenance initiatives are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Inspect and evaluate physical plant, grounds, and related equipment.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to the maintenance department, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance and reliability programs.
  • Oversee and schedule all maintenance work orders and repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Coordinate and execute capital and facility improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Maintenance Advisor to leverage technical expertise and institutional knowledge for complex or legacy systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead department training and skill development programs to enhance team capability and performance.
  • Maintain documentation, records, and reports related to maintenance activities and projects.
  • Partner with production, purchasing, and engineering teams to support operational goals.
  • Provide regular updates to the Plant Manager regarding performance metrics, project progress, and maintenance priorities.

Key Relationships

  • Reports to: Plant Manager
  • Works closely with: Senior Maintenance Advisor, Mfg Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Technical Services/Machine Shop.
  • Supervises: All maintenance and facilities personnel

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage and motivate technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated work areas.
  • Exposure to industrial noise, temperature variations, and moving equipment.
  • Use of personal protective equipment as required.


Mon-Fri with weekend if needed

6:00am-2:30 pm
