We're looking for a Staff Data Scientist to lead the science behind how advertisers understand the impact of their investment on Pinterest through first and third party measurement products. You'll push the boundaries of ads measurement, advancing our approaches to causal inference and incrementality and partner closely with Product and Engineering, as well as represent Pinterest science externally with customers and partners.



What you'll do:



  • Own the development of measurement methodologies that help advertisers understand and optimize the value of their Pinterest campaigns across the full ads delivery funnel.
  • Design, implement, and validate advanced causal inference methods for incrementality and lift measurement.
  • Ensure scientific rigor in our measurement products by anticipating and mitigating risks such as bias, imbalance, and under-power.
  • Influence Ads Product & Engineering to define the measurement roadmap and integrate science solutions into products and platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal and external measurement partners (e.g., clean rooms, conversion APIs, MMM partners, MTA vendors) to design and evaluate joint solutions.
  • Define and own key success metrics for 1P measurement products; build tools and frameworks that enable teams and advertisers to make better decisions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other data scientists and analysts, elevating measurement rigor and impact across the org.

What we're looking for:



  • 8+ years of combined post-graduate academic and industry experience applying scientific methods to solve real-world problems on web-scale data.
  • 5+ years in ads measurement with a strong focus on ad effectiveness and incrementality (e.g., conversion lift, brand lift, budget-split testing, matched-market tests, MMM, MTA).
  • Proficiency in SQL and expertise in at least one scripting language (ideally Python or R).
  • Strong business and product sense, with a track record of turning ambiguous questions into well-defined analyses or success metrics and driving decisions that balance scientific rigor and business value.
  • Demonstrated leadership of key technical projects and meaningful influence on the work of other data scientists, particularly junior and senior peers.

Job Description: Data Analyst – Global Patient Access Program (GPAP)

Location: North Chicago, IL, USA (Hybrid eligible), AP30


Overview: The Data Analyst for the Patient Assistance Program (PAP), supporting GPAP’s data transformation and governance, will be instrumental in building and maintaining the backbone of automated reporting and KPI dashboards. This role ensures a single source of truth for GPAP operations, drives analytics innovation, and supports the integration and consistency of data across the program. You’ll collaborate closely with workstream leaders, lead in bi-weekly scrum sessions, and deliver insight-rich, timely outputs for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, automate, and maintain standardized PAP reporting, KPI dashboards, and ad hoc analytics tools using Tableau, Excel, and Snowflake.

• Lead twice-weekly Scrum sessions with workstream team members, ensuring progression of data tasks, intake of new data requests, and alignment on analytics approaches in a Smart Sheet-driven, agile environment.

• Ensure data consistency, quality, and accuracy across all platforms, supporting GPAP governance and the creation/control of the 'source of truth.'

• Enable and facilitate self-service dashboards and reporting marts for internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (BTS, ACA, GPAP, Steer Co) to support program data needs, forecasting, and reporting methodologies.

• Support quarterly and weekly reporting processes—including application, shipment, and claim-level analytics.

• Partners with data lead to document extraction methods, automate/accelerate reporting, and track program impacts, escalations, and business intelligence.

• Identify new opportunities for advanced analytics or insights to increase PAP operational efficiency and program sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in a relevant field (Analytics, IT, Business, Data Science, or related)

• 3-5 years’ experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence in healthcare, pharma, or related industry

• Advanced proficiency in Tableau and Excel; experience with Smart Sheet and Snowflake (SQL skills required)

• Demonstrated experience leading agile meetings (scrum/project management preferred)

• Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and quality control

• Experience in KPI development, dashboard design, and self-service reporting

• Effective communicator with ability to drive cross-team consensus and present findings to varied audiences

• Collaborative mindset, able to work in fast-paced, matrixed environments

The Senior Clinical Data Manager brings hands-on experience in oncology clinical data management, deep familiarity with Medidata Rave and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage clinical data management activities for assigned early-phase oncology studies, ensuring data quality, integrity, and inspection readiness.
  • Serve as the primary owner and administrator of the company’s Medidata platform, including Cloud Admin configuration and maintenance, user access management, etc.
  • Provide oversight of EDC builds and updates, including review and approval of database specifications and edit check specifications, completion of UAT, etc.
  • Develop and implement data review plans and coordinate ongoing external and internal data cleaning and query management activities.
  • Review data listings to support study oversight and decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Clinical Science, Biostatistics, Medical, and external vendors/CROs to ensure alignment and timely data delivery.
  • Monitor data management metrics and reports to ensure compliance with protocols and study plans.
  • Contribute to process improvement, SOP development, and inspection readiness activities as the clinical organization continues to scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, data science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of clinical data management experience, with at least 3 years in oncology clinical trials.
  • Prior experience in early-phase (Phase 1/1b/2) oncology trials within a biotech or CRO setting.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Medidata including Cloud Admin and Rave EDC.
  • Elluminate administration experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of CDISC standards.
  • Experience working with CROs and vendors, including oversight of outsourced data management activities.
  • Working knowledge of GCP, ICH, and regulatory expectations for clinical data.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable mindset with interest in helping build and scale data management capabilities.
