Position Summary

This classification is represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) local 1245, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E.

Β 

This position may be subject to Joint Apprentice Training Committee (JATC) review and approval. Provisional hires will be required to participate in targeted training to achieve journey-level knowledge of electrician roles and responsibilities.

Please note: Per letter of agreement (LOA) 23-36; All future employees who are hired, assigned, placed, or bid (after the execution date of this agreement) into one of the classifications listed (in agreement) and in the San Francisco Division ONLY is eligible for a 15% pay premium and will be subject to a β€œbid lock” for three (3) years.

General Construction (GC)

For GC positions individuals must be able to travel and transfer to a new headquarters upon request at any time, throughout the entire PG&E service territory with no guarantees as to how long you will be away from home. Β 

  • Reviews, verifies, and modifies prints and electric schematics. Lays out materials for installation, such as conduit, steel, wires, junction boxes, tools, etc. Places orders for supplies as needed.
  • Moves equipment to staging area. Performs safety preparation including performing high voltage protective grounding.
  • Uses power tools and hand tools to install equipment and systems, such as wire terminations, high voltage equipment, overhead and underground electrical and conduit systems, steel structures, control panels, metering and protection systems, air switches. Sets up rigging. Pulls wire.
  • May operate construction equipment, if qualified, such as crane truck, man lift, boom truck, bucket truck as part of installation, excavation, and compaction. Operates forklift to move and reposition equipment.
  • Uses hand and power tools, such as jackhammers, whackers, and shovels to remove and replace soil.
  • Removes old high voltage equipment, structures and other impediments prior to installation using heavy equipment, rigging and other tools.
  • Drives equipment on the job site (substation). May drive equipment from one job site to another. May drive a company vehicle to pick up tools or other equipment away from the job site.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and safe condition. Removes trash, debris, and excess materials. Picks up and reorganizes tools.
  • Overtime may be required.

PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time ofΒ the jobΒ posting. This position isΒ subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for thisΒ position is $68.56 per hour. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. The wage rate is based on multiple factors,Β including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications,Β experience, market value, geographicΒ location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.

Minimum:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a High School diploma or GED.

Role Summary

We’re hiring a Senior Safety Manager to lead our site safety team and own safety performance for a brownfield hyperscale data center project in Boydton, VA. This is a senior, field-first leadership role working in/around live critical infrastructure, where disciplined planning, access control, and high-risk work controls are essential. You will set expectations, coach supervisors and subcontractors, and drive a proactive safety culture that protects people, schedule, and operations.


This role may be filled by a traveler. If traveling, the company will provide a company credit card and cover all approved travel expenses (lodging, meals, rental car/vehicle, fuel, flights as needed, and incidentals) per company policy.


Leadership Responsibilities (Safety Team Lead)

  • Lead, coach, and develop the project safety team (Safety Managers/Coordinators) and set daily/weekly field coverage.
  • Establish the site’s safety rhythm: onboarding, field walks, audits, corrective actions, reporting cadence, and subcontractor accountability.
  • Serve as the primary safety point of contact with the client/GC, ensuring alignment to mission critical standardsand scorecards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the Site Safety Plan aligned to client requirements, OSHA, and company standards.
  • Own safety execution in a brownfield environment: phasing, shutdown windows, access controls, escorts, and strict change control.
  • Lead planning and controls for high-risk activities, including:
  • LOTO / energized work coordination (interface with electrical leadership and client procedures)
  • Hot work, confined space, crane & rigging, working at heights, trenching/excavation, concrete operations

  • Manage subcontractor safety performance: expectations, audits, trend reviews, and consequences for repeat non-compliance.
  • Deliver training and engagement: orientations, toolbox talks, supervisor coaching, and targeted refreshers.
  • Maintain safety documentation and reporting: inspections, action tracking, client reporting, and leadership updates.
  • Partner with construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to align safety gates with major milestones (energization, startup, IST).

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years safety leadership in construction; mission critical/data center experience strongly preferred (brownfield/live site a major plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a safety team and influence multi-trade field execution.
  • Strong OSHA construction knowledge and practical expertise controlling high-risk work.
  • Excellent communication and field presenceβ€”able to coach, correct, and hold teams accountable.

The Service Technician will run electrical and mechanical diagnostics and deliver required repairs. They are responsible for performing comprehensive quality inspections and preventative maintenance services on overhead cranes and hoists. They will spend the majority of their time on clients' sites providing service and, as such, are expected to serve as frontline representatives of the company.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists, and drives.

Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists.

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.

Proper use of a man lift during service. Must be comfortable working at heights.

Evaluate and communicate with customers recommendations requiring repairs.

Communicate with management and sales about any additional needs the customer may have.

Maintains time tracking per job and reports any product concerns or inconsistencies.

Performs other related duties as assigned.


CORE SKILLS:

Ability to read and understand work instructions, manuals, and schematics.

Ability to read and execute fabrication drawings.

Ability to manage time to a schedule and be accountable for reporting per job.

Ability to properly maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on equipment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 2 -4 years of work experience as a service technician.

Mechanical and electrical skills ideally learned from a trade school.

Overhead crane experience not required, but familiarity and exposure to working on cranes and hoists are a plus.

Welding aptitude would be a benefit.

Ability to work overtime.

Demonstrated positive attendance record.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.

Ability to frequently walk, climb, kneel, bend, reach overhead, push, pull, and use a ladder or stool.

Job Purpose

Seek to optimize racing car design and setup configurations for on-track vehicle performance gains, using predictive simulation technologies.

Key Accountabilities

Vehicle Performance Simulation & Analysis Responsibilities

  • Predictive vehicle performance simulation and analysis for racing car configurations using Driver‑in‑the‑Loop (DIL) and other advanced simulation technologies.
  • Analyze, interpret, and report results from DIL, vehicle simulators, and real‑world testing to HRC and racing team stakeholders.
  • Guide HRC engineering groups and racing teams to maximize powertrain and overall vehicle performance.
  • Design, execute, and optimize vehicle dynamics performance experiments, including free parameter optimization studies.
  • Develop, configure, calibrate, and validate vehicle dynamics and performance models using simulation, rig, and on‑track data.
  • Prepare model parameters, perform pre‑ and post‑processing, and generate correlation and validation reports.
  • Create and maintain vehicle modeling and simulation tools, including models tested on the DIL simulator.
  • Support development, debugging, and validation of vehicle dynamics and control system simulation platforms.
  • Gather system characterization data and support rig testing (suspension kinematics and compliance, mass properties, shaker testing, wind tunnel, etc.).
  • Collaborate with HRC teams to develop rig and track test plans, attend testing, and produce clear, timely technical reports.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.1–3 years of experience configuring, operating, and validating vehicle dynamics simulation software, including offline lap simulation, parametric, and multi‑body models. Proficient in analyzing on‑vehicle racing data, including logged data and telemetry.Practical experience with racing car setup methodologies and performance optimization. Strong technical knowledge of vehicle dynamics and chassis systems, including aerodynamics, suspension, and tires, with expert understanding of limit‑handling principles and real‑world application.
