Our client in Grand Rapids is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join their growing team in a hands-on, high-impact role. This is a great opportunity for a technically inclined professional with strong electrical and automation experience to take ownership of critical systems within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will focus on installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining control systems for all test and assembly equipment on-site.
This is a Night shift position with a 6PM-6AM schedule on a '2-2-3 schedule' (2 days on 2 days off, 3 days on etc.- rotating with every other weekend off. 60hrs one week, 24 the next. 1.5x pay for overtime! )

Responsibilities:
- Install, program, test, and calibrate control systems and related hardware/software for assembly and test equipment
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all test and assembly equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment including programmable controls, drives, power supplies, and PLC systems
- Improve automation processes, optimize equipment utilization (OEE), and reduce downtime through continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with external vendors on equipment upgrades, repairs, and sourcing
- Start up and shut down machinery in alignment with company safety and OSHA protocols
- Advise operators and fellow technicians on safe and efficient equipment operation
- Interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and specifications for troubleshooting and maintenance
- Manage small-scale automation projects independently from concept through implementation
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes

Qualifications:

About the Role:
The Associate Marketing Manager, Advanced Marketing (Physical Sciences Journals) will play a key role in driving visibility, readership, engagement and submissions for physical sciences journals in the Advanced Portfolio. This role supports strategic marketing priorities through the execution of targeted campaigns, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration. - Proven financial analysis and valuation capability (NPV, IRR, lease comparison, ROI, DCF Modeling, Payback, etc.) with highly advanced Excel modeling skills, including the accurate underwriting and modeling of large ground-up developments. Additional data aggregation and analysis skills (such as portfolio rollups and sensitivities) are a plus.

The Role We Want You For
The Director of Construction is responsible for serving as the main point of contact overseeing the execution of ground-up student housing developments from preconstruction through closeout and stabilization handoff. The Director of Construction will run the owner/architect/contractor meetings, provide answers on behalf of ownership and keep the project team on task including pay application reviews, change order reviews, RFIs and submittals. This role oversees budgets, schedules, contracting strategy, quality, safety, and project controls across a portfolio of active projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with the company’s design standards, brand, and operational requirements for student move-in.
This leader coordinates internal stakeholders (Development, Design, Finance, Asset Management, Operations/Property Management, Leasing/Marketing) and external partners (GCs, architects, engineers, consultants, municipalities, utilities) to de-risk delivery and drive predictable outcomes.
The Specifics of the Role
- Partner with Development and Design to translate underwriting assumptions into executable construction plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Lead GC/CM selection strategy (RFPs, interviews, scope leveling, bid analysis, buyout approach, qualifications).
- Develop and validate GMPs, construction schedules, logistics plans, and phasing strategies tailored to student housing turnover requirements.
- Manage constructability, value engineering, and scope alignment with brand standards and operational needs (durability, unit turns, amenity performance, life-safety, access control).
- Identify long-lead items and procurement risks early; drive early releases and supply chain strategies.
- Direct all construction activity across assigned projects, typically via third-party GCs/CMs, ensuring compliance with contract documents and company standards.

- Lead OAC cadence and executive-level project reviews; escalate risks with clear mitigation plans.
- Review and approve change orders, RFI impacts, submittals (as appropriate), and claims strategy in collaboration with Legal/Finance.
- Maintain strong field presence during critical phases (sitework, structure, enclosure, MEP rough-in, interior build, commissioning, punch, turnover).
- Establish project budgets and cost codes aligned with the company’s reporting standards; manage cash flow and forecast accuracy.
- Implement rigorous change control, ensuring scope clarity and protecting underwriting.
- Proactively manage entitlement/utility/municipal risks with Development and project teams.
- Coordinate insurance, bonding, safety compliance expectations, and risk transfer provisions.
- Enforce quality assurance processes: mockups, benchmarks, inspections, and punchlist discipline.
- Ensure all projects adhere to life-safety, accessibility, and code requirements; support commissioning and systems training.
- Champion jobsite safety culture and performance expectations with GC partners.
- Lead turnover strategy designed around student move-in deadlines (tight punch windows, phased turnover, furniture/FF&E coordination if applicable).
- Coordinate commissioning, inspections, CO/TCO, life-safety certifications, access control integration, and as-builts/O&M delivery.
- Drive closeout completion: warranty tracking, lien waivers, final accounting, and lessons learned.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers / Owners Reps (as applicable).
- Build a high-performing vendor network (GCs, MEP subs, consultants) and maintain preferred partner relationships.
- Standardize best practices, reporting templates, and construction playbooks across the portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- 4–8+ years of experience in real estate development, preferably with student housing or multifamily projects
- Proven experience managing ground-up development projects exceeding $50MM+ in total cost
- Strong understanding of zoning, entitlements, construction processes, and design, development and finance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and real estate financial modeling
- Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills

The Site Safety Supervisor will provide support to the Project Staff and the Ventana safety team in an effort to execute corporate safety and health standards and procedures in compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements. In addition to your project responsibilities, you shall participate in and complete all assignments designated to you. This will include, but is not limited to, assisting in development of a zero injury safety culture on each project, conducting at least weekly documented jobsite safety inspections, effectively communicate orientations for all new project workers, assist with and review subcontractor daily pre-task safety analysis, actively promote and participate in daily stretch and flex program, identify project trends and execute proactive safety initiatives to eliminate incidents, support corporate goals and initiatives, emphasize and support proactive safety such as near miss/hazard reporting, coach and recognize workers on safe work methods, report all incidents in an effective and timely manner following established protocols and be a champion in motivating workers to perform their jobs safely! Your responsibilities will be all encompassing for each project you will be dedicated to.
The Specifics of the Role
- Assist in development of the project safety program.
- Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees. Administer and record their participation in the orientation program and issue identification to those employees completing the orientation program.
- Attend all initial meetings with the project staff and subcontractor representatives to clearly define their role within the confines of the project safety program.
- Conduct and document pre-planning safety meetings with each subcontractor representatives to establish safety procedures prior to subcontractor’s activity on site.

- Record, notify and prepare written report of any violations or unsafe practices to subcontractors for immediate correction actions.

- Assist the Project Superintendent in establishing and implementing proper fire prevention, evacuation, and fire control procedures.
- Investigate all incidents and generate proper reports.

- Working under the leadership of a Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager coordinates all aspects of the project including:

The Corporate Insurance Director is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and advancing Clayco’s enterprise-wide insurance and risk management strategy. The Director leads the review and negotiation of insurance provisions across Clayco’s prime contracts, ensuring alignment with corporate standards while proactively identifying and mitigating risk exposures. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of Clayco’s enterprise insurance programs in partnership with the Senior Vice President, Corporate Insurance.
