Coordinate and supervise daily transportation and dispatch functions pertaining to including but not limited to shipping, safety, and backhaul management within the DOT and FMCSA compliance standards.

All vendors, customers, and team members related to BJ's Wholesale Club Supervisory Responsibilities Drivers, 3rd Party Carriers, and Transportation Equipment providers

Supervise, train and mentor transportation team members

Responsible for driver onboarding, retention and training

Responsible for DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) training for all drivers, transportation and warehouse team members

Enforce Department of Transportation (DOT) safety policies and practices to ensure compliance

Participate in daily/weekly/monthly driver DOT compliance meetings, quarterly driver meetings and quarterly ride-alongs

Monitor, maintain and report all safety and compliance metrics (including CSA -Carrier Safety Administration)

Responsible for annual Driver performance reviews to include ongoing coaching regarding customer service, safety concerns and Driver Metrics (performance, earnings, utilization)

Initiate accident procedures in the event of a driver call in, monitor Drive Cam events and conduct accident investigations.

Monitor systems, key performance indicators (KPI), and transportation functions and programs to ensure accuracy, efficiency, DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance, and profitability

Responsible for reviewing, validating and maintaining all HOS (Hours of Service) processes and files in applicable software (such as TMW, RydeSmart, etc)

Collect/analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and solutions for transportation functions and programs

Daily monitoring of TMW Systems to maintain load/route information in order to ensure optimum routing and scheduling efficiency for on-time performance

Monitor staffing and workload, coordinate driver paid time off, ensure appropriate number of employed and spot lease carriers available to assign to loads to ensure schedules and deadlines are met

Monitor vendor audits, invoicing, equipment leases, and maintenance to ensure accuracy, proper scheduling, and compliance

Proactively respond to concerns and inquiries including but not limited to breakdowns, late trucks, directions, product discrepancies, customer and vendor changes/updates

Involve team members in discussions to improve processes

Maintain local driver files and coordinate with Compliance group on centrally maintained driver qualifications files

Dispatch outbound drivers with complete load instructions and parameters

Check-in drivers, ensure all documentation, returns and credits processed in a timely manner after route assignment is complete

Ensure equipment maintenance is done on a routine and as needed basis

Other duties as assigned

High school diploma or GED required, supported by some college coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business preferred.

Bachelor's Degree with transportation, logistics or supply chain focus is preferred

Minimum two (2) years' experience in transportation in an operations environment

CDL Class A license preferred

Certifications in LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO 9001, Transportation, etc. preferred

Ability to apply strong math skills that result in identification of opportunities and justify action plan recommendations

Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects in a collaborative environment

Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and general transportation regulations

Dispatch and/or Supervisory experience preferred

Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferred

Basic knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) Hours of Service

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $58,000.00 - $74,000.00

• Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

Position Overview:

As a Grocery Replenishment Specialist/Buyer, you will be responsible for maintaining a 95% service level while achieving budgeted inventory levels and delivering optimal cost/sell margins defined as 100% accurate purchase orders. You will also be responsible for optimizing inbound performance, ensuring vendor buying parameters with maximum efficiency and balancing profitable inventory levels and turns.

Responsibilities:

• Managing specific vendor book(s) and delivering a 95% total fill for our customers
• Managing full compliance and utilization of E3 software
• Expedite Purchase Orders (P.O’s) as needed for service level
• Manage product assortment through category and SKU evaluation, efficient assortment, vendor selection, new and discontinuance of items
• Addressing and following through with vendor cuts and/or allocations
• Managing and maintaining profitable inventory to achieve budgeted levels
• Ensuring no loss to margin with 100% accurate purchase orders to maximize buy-in opportunities
• Managing the replenishment process to ensure seasonal ordering, holiday sales, trade shows and any special promotional activity
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Experience:

• Preferred: One (1) years procurement experience
• Preferred: One (1) retail/grocery experience or equivalent

We are partnering with an established automation solutions company to hire a hands-on Operations Manager of Distribution to lead day-to-day operational performance across customer service (account support), ERP optimization, purchasing/procurement, inventory control, and warehouse operations.

This is a distribution-focused operations role with a strong emphasis on customer service optimization and ERP process improvement.

This leader will drive KPI accountability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the distribution business.

Responsibilities:

Operations Leadership & Strategy

• Lead distribution operations across warehouse, account support/customer service, purchasing, and inventory control
• Establish and track KPIs including order accuracy, response time, fill rate, on-time delivery, inventory turns, and backlog
• Drive cross-functional alignment between Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Warehouse, IT, and Finance

Customer Service / Account Support Optimization (High Priority)

• Lead the Account Support team handling order entry, quotes, returns, and issue resolution
• Improve service metrics: order accuracy, response time, backlog reduction, and customer satisfaction
• Standardize workflows and service-level expectations

ERP & Process Improvement

• Optimize ERP performance (Infor SX.e / CloudSuite preferred)
• Leverage system data to identify bottlenecks and improve operational visibility

• Develop and document SOPs across customer service and warehouse functions
• Partner with IT to enhance system utilization and workflow automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in industrial distribution operations
• 5+ years in an operations leadership role
• Strong ERP experience (Infor SX.e / CloudSuite highly preferred)
• Proven experience leading customer service/account support teams within distribution
• Experience managing purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse operations
• Demonstrated success implementing KPIs and operational process improvements
• Strong analytical, leadership, and cross-functional communication skills
