Steritec Products Inc., a member of the Getinge Group, manufactures sterilization and cleaning medical device consumables using ink technology. We manufacture and print highly specialized proprietary inks that undergo specific color changes when exposed to different sterilization conditions in hospital and industrial/pharmaceutical sterilizers.

This Maintenance Technician III position is an on-site, full-time, non-exempt position. Hours are Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 6:00pm (with some flexibility).


Job Summary:


The Maintenance Technician III provides preventative maintenance and repair services at the Denver establishment, following manufacturers' instructions and utilizing knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment (as appropriate to position level). This position is primarily responsible for on-going maintenance, development, and upkeep of facility equipment and complex sterilization equipment.


Preferred skills include LabView maintenance and programming to interface with sterilization equipment, including sensors, actuators, and instrumentation devices.
In addition, this position is responsible for independently maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing sterilizers and other laboratory equipment, as needed.


Responsible for maintaining all the equipment in the facility, the facility itself inside and out, and miscellaneous maintenance duties as needed. Special emphasis placed on accurate record keeping for FDA GMP purposes with focus on maintaining accurate maintenance logs.


Job Functions:



  • Provide preventative maintenance at location in accordance with established procedures and techniques using proper tools, test equipment and replacement parts.
  • Comply with all health and safety codes and procedures as mandated by Getinge policies, quality requirements and regulatory agencies.
  • Establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with customers and all Getinge personnel.
  • Maintain personal competence for meeting job responsibilities through effective use of product information and technical data provided by Getinge and others.
  • Participate in training seminars, meetings and on-the-job training programs.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and an ability to apply concepts and knowledge obtained from these training and skill development sources.
  • Accurately prepare and submit on schedule all required reports.

  • Ability to start up, perform testing and preventative maintenance on boiler system. knowledge and ability to perform equipment and system preventative maintenance and inspection.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • 3+ years' experience with industrial machine maintenance and electronic wiring and soldering or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
  • FDA/ISO exposure and document control and ability to read, interpret and test according to FDA and ISO standards a plus
  • Higher-temperature repair and pipe fitting experience a plus
  • Pressurized systems maintenance preferred
  • Very strong technical proficiency in using schematics, system diagrams and repair/replacement procedures to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate all products assigned.
  • Has the ability to assist with troubleshoot, repair and install facility and production equipment in an efficient manner to minimize operation downtime
  • Desirable to have experience and understanding of electronic circuit logics (e.g. discrete, TTL, MOS, and linear circuits) and Relay Ladder Logic troubleshooting and PLC programming

SUMMARY: To prepare and stage press or laminator jobs. Prepress personnel are used in any capacity needed to stage items at any machine. They may retrieve and prepare cylinders for press run and after the press run, clean the cylinders and store them. All these functions must be performed in the safest, most effective and efficient manner while adhering to established SOP's and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Actively participate and embrace in the SPOT Safety Program fundamentals and adhere to all safety guidelines and rules to aid APC's efforts to achieve a zero-accident rate.
  • Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in developing, understanding, and following Standard Operating Procedures and or training documentation.
  • Print and understand each job's Job Jacket, Print Specification, and Manufacturing Specification and take to the press.
  • Retrieve daily production schedule that identifies which job will run, quantities, priorities, etc. Interpret and act upon information.
  • Detect, report, and resolve all missing or substandard machine parts.
  • Use an automated storage system terminal to retrieve and return cylinders and anilox to storage.
  • Assemble and transport print cylinders and aniloxes between printing press and prepress departments.
  • Place cylinders on assembly table and install the gears and journals. Install the pans, applicator pipes, end shields, splash guards and cylinders into the carriage units.
  • Return the units to prepress, remove the parts, clean up the cylinders, and store them back into the storage system after a job has run.
  • Aid on press set-ups as needed. Assist miscellaneous housekeeping and cleaning responsibilities.
  • Complete required reports and paperwork. Use a computer terminal.
  • Perform required cleaning tasks - some daily, weekly or monthly requirements.
  • Obtain Power Industrial Truck license(s).
  • Complete PSM training and be able to perform all work in the washroom.
  • Effectively communicate with coworkers throughout all shifts.
  • Attend and participate in all company mandated meetings.
  • Business travel may be required.

Definition

Position Snapshot/A Day in the Life: Under the direction of a Senior Planner, this is the entry level class in the professional planning series. A typical day consists of reviewing development projects, collection of data to prepare staff reports for Planning Commission/City Council, provide information to developers and general public, evaluate and approve sign proposals, review and process design reviews, conditional use permits, variances and work on other planning related projects. Position Description:

Perform sub assembly and final assembly processes on a variety of mechanical and electrical assemblies. Will use calibrated equipment and machinery, engineering and simple drawings, schematics, as well as written and verbal instructions to perform basic assembly, mechanical, and electrical functions. Will also maintain documentation on work performed, match work procedures with ISO documents, and read and interpret sketches and/or blueprints to describe or identify non-conformance.


Essential Functions:

Utilize hand tools, power tools and hardware to assemble and wire standard and engineered products to customer specifications and quality standards with the aid of supervision or trainers.

Apply acquired trade skills such as electrical, mechanical and plumbing to complete assembly process.

Follow ISO procedures.

Perform job set-up by obtaining necessary/required parts, drawings, and schematics. Check for correctness of parts by referencing the bill of material. Read and interpret drawings and schematics.

Communicate with engineers, designers, and technicians to resolve assembly discrepancies.

Perform ongoing inspection of product during assembly and wiring process and prior to products shipment.

Lift and position assemblies. Operate overhead hoist/crane to assist with the lifting and control of moving/positioning of assembly.

Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Set-up and performs Assembly Department operations with minimum supervision.

Familiar with mechanical and electromechanical components.

Thorough understanding of part prints (tolerances, symbols, etc.).

Perform checks for quality of parts and make adjustments as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Entry level or 1-2 years of assembly experience

Knowledge of ISO

Familiar with mechanical and electromechanical components

Able to read and interpret routings, bills of material, assembly drawings, work instructions and notes

Manual dexterity

Ability to work in a team setting

A positive can-do attitude

Strong motivation and communication skills

Problem solving skills

Refuse to be satisfied with average performance

Lou-Rich Training Requirements:

Applicable training will be completed by following the syllabi (Human Resources, Safety, IFS Time clock, IFS - Navigation, ISO, Inspection Hand Tools, Inspection Forms, CMM, and Technical) for each new hire and that will be verified by the Employee Orientation & Job Qualification form within the first 60 days of employment. Additional applicable training will be completed by following the individuals assigned department training matrix, Paint Line (F4400-355).

Follow training syllabus (Technical from above list). Effectiveness of training guidelines will be determined by employee knowledge and demonstration of learned concepts. Additional training after the first several weeks of on-the-job training will be determined by the Supervisor in preparation to operate on their own as needed. Any follow-up training will be evaluated and provided at the 60-day review or as deemed necessary for the position.
