Role Overview:
As a Machinist, you'll set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) to produce precision ceramic parts. You'll work with advanced equipment and contribute to high-quality production in a clean, safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (Haas, Fanuc, Okuma, etc.)
  • Adjust controls and offsets to maintain .0005 tolerances
  • Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications
  • Perform First Article Inspections and document results
  • Use micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and other precision tools
  • Maintain clean work areas and follow P5S initiatives
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on machines
  • Communicate effectively across shifts and teams
  • Report machine issues, safety concerns, and non-conformances
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is required (Machine Technology certificate preferred)
  • 1+ years of advanced CNC 3-axis machining experience
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and perform precision measurements
  • Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, conversions)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Eligible to work in an ITAR environment
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carrying out the purchasing process based on sales and production plans (acceptance of Purchasing tasks in development projects for new products) including
  • All sourcing activities for production material
  • Active search for new suppliers including planning of the audit process on new suppliers.
  • Mitigates supply chain risks by developing alternative sourcing strategies.
  • Implementation of T&C’s with each supplier including legal support.
  • Participates in value analysis projects as defined in departmental objectives.
  • Annual price negotiation based on forecast volumes.

(OTG) is a local, veteran-owned provider of digital copiers, printers, wide-format systems, Managed Print Services (MPS), and document-workflow solutions for businesses and public agencies across Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Our full line of Toshiba, Kyocera and Epson products, including monochrome and color copiers and printers, offer extensive options for office solutions. As the Outside Sales Representative, you will be accountable for selling our full line of office solutions, including multi-functional, full-color copiers and printers, and software solutions across a vast marketplace, including Bristol County, Plymouth County, and Rhode Island areas.


This position is also available for residents of Providence, RI and Plymouth, MA.


What you'll be doing


  • Drive sales revenue and grow market by managing an expandable territory to achieve quota via cold calling and self-generated leads.
  • Present and sell digital office equipment and software solutions, including multi-functional products.
  • Drive new net business through prospecting and high conversion rate of warm leads from lead generation campaigns.
  • Work with clients to understand and identify objectives and needs while aligning products and services where business opportunities exist. Develop relationships with clients and deliver high levels of client care.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations, coordinating the terms of the sale and client training. Act as an ambassador and representative for the Office Technology Group, Inc. (OTG).
  • Create and maintain a prospecting plan including territory management and prospecting objective-identify key areas of opportunity for new business. Conduct sales reporting as required.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the industry and trends influencing the marketplace.


Qualifications


  • Three (3) or more years of business-to-business sales experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in cold calling and prospecting required
  • Experience selling office equipment and/or document solutions with a major manufacturer or regional re-reseller preferred
  • Strong knowledge of major product lines from manufacturers such as: Toshiba, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Canon, Sharp or Kyocera preferred
  • Ability to customize solutions, create proposals, and negotiate with customers
  • Familiar with CRM software such as Hubspot, Salesforce, etc
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Valid Driver's License required

First year potential compensation is $90,000 which includes a base, targeted at $40 - 45K, plus commission and bonus potential.
