The Opportunity
The School of Social Work in the College of Health Professions and Sciences at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for one 12-month instructor whose primary assignments will be teaching and field placement in the BSW and MSW programs (both online and campus based) while participating in meaningful service at the school, college, university, and community levels. The school has 34 full-time faculty, 14 staff, numerous adjunct faculty, and over 900 students. We offer a BSW and an MSW program. There are various campus based and online tracks in the MSW program.

The Opportunity
The University of Central Florida, College of Medicine Faculty Practice at UCF Health in Orlando, FL is seeking a Rheumatologist to join an expanding multi-specialty academic practice at our East Orlando outpatient clinic. UCF Health currently has four other faculty board-certified rheumatologists in our two locations, additional affiliated faculty at the nearby Orlando VA Medical Center, and four fellows in our fully accredited GME program; combined to make us the largest rheumatology practice in Central Florida. Applicants should be exceptional clinicians who have demonstrated a value-based philosophy of patient care and are seeking an exclusively outpatient care environment. The selected candidate will spend the majority of their time providing direct patient care while building their outpatient practice in collaboration with multiple specialties. There will also be opportunities for clinical research as well as teaching physician learners (medical students, internal medicine GME residents, and fellows in multiple subspecialty disciplines) and interprofessional medical trainees in the clinical setting. A robust clinical and translational research team assists for sponsored and investigator-initiated research/trials. The Opportunity:
The University of Central Florida (UCF) department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering invites enthusiastic applications from highly motivated and talented individuals for a Postdoctoral Scholar position with focus on experimental testing of high-temperature materials, solar receivers, and thermochemical reactors. The Post Doctoral Scholar will be supported by a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) funded three-year project, focusing on the design and lab-scale testing of high-temperature thermochemical reactors for solar and other renewable energy conversion and storage. The scholar will co-lead a collaborative research team with members from three universities, one clean energy start-up company, and a DOE national laboratory (Sandia) for a prototype reactor development and demonstration. The scholar will also help Dr. Li organize group meetings, co-mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and publish high-impact scientific journal articles and conference papers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, or a very closely aligned field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in studying fluid-solid interactions, reactive material reduction/oxidation kinetics, and high-temperature radiation transfer is highly desired.
- Experience in studying material reactivity at high temperature using TGA/DSC or mass spectrometer is highly desired.
- Experience in designing and operating thermal/fluid systems using high-temperature furnaces is desired.
- Experience with material characterization such as XRD, SEM, micro-CT scan etc. is desired.

This program focuses on supporting activities related to process development, optimizations and designs of portable, modular gas-to-methanol technologies in partnership with M2X Energy Inc., which involves, but is not limited to:
Development and review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Creation and support of CAD drawings for equipment layouts, skid assemblies, and process components.
Design, assembly, and experimentation with benchtop instruments, including data acquisition and analysis.
Basic process control support and maintenance of engineering and manufacturing documentation.
Assembly, modification, and operation of flow reactors and adsorption testing systems (such as breakthrough rigs) to generate data for pressure swing adsorption (PSA) modeling and validation.
Participation in chemical laboratory experiments and processes, including but not limited to testing adsorbent materials to enhance methane recovery from renewable natural gas streams.
Preparation of written and oral reports summarizing experimental results, processes, and findings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Enrollment or recent completion in an engineering or science undergraduate program and basic proficiency in one or more of the following: chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or chemistry with scientific lab work.

The Opportunity
The Department of Physics at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for two full-time, nine-month, benefits-eligible, non-tenure earning lecturer positions, anticipated to start in August 2026.
We anticipate that one will be a Lecturer, and one available at the Lecturer or Associate Lecturer level, based on experience. Each position is renewable annually, with the possibility of summer teaching assignments. We seek candidates to teach large-enrollment sections of introductory physics courses, introductory physical science and astronomy courses for a variety of majors, as well as upper-division undergraduate courses in physics and astronomy. This position requires an experienced researcher who will work both independently and as a team member to design, develop, modify, test, document, and maintain simulation software products.
Key Responsibilities

The Opportunity
The University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF-COM) Department of Medicine is seeking full-time medical Dermatology physicians and a full-time procedural Mohs dermatology physician to join our outpatient UCF Health academic practice. These are non-tenure track clinical positions at the assistant, associate or professor of medicine level.
Medical Dermatologists:
We are seeking medical dermatologists with strong skills in general and procedural dermatology (non-Mohs) to complement the expertise of our current dermatology faculty. The selected candidates will participate in or help to develop cross-specialty clinics (e.g., for dermato-rheumatology, dermato-oncology or occupational dermatology). Applicants need to have demonstrated outstanding clinical practice delivering high quality, value-based, team-based care. Collaboration with other care providers is an essential component of this position. Examples include working with rheumatology faculty, fellows and internal medicine residents. On occasion there will be medical students, residents and fellows from our Internal Medicine residency and fellowship programs rotating through our clinics. There will also be a small component of undergraduate and graduate medical education instruction.
Mohs Dermatologist:
This position is for a procedural Mohs dermatologist to complement the expertise of our current dermatology faculty and practice in a state-of-the-art Mohs surgery facility. On occasion medical students, residents and fellows from our Internal Medicine residency and fellowship programs will be rotating through our clinics. There will also be a small component of undergraduate and graduate medical education instruction.
The success of the university faculty practice, UCF Health, has led to continuing growth and expansion that includes modern state-of-the-art dermatology clinic facilities, and expansion of multiple specialties across our academic departments and participating hospitals. Candidates interested in developing and growing dermatology services at UCF are desired.
These are UCF Health clinical positions with opportunities to: collaborate with other dermatologists at nearby partner institutions (e.g., at the VA Medical Center, the Nemours Children's Hospital and the UCF Lake Nona Medical Center); pursue interprofessional education with other members of our multi-disciplinary Academic Health Sciences Center; conduct clinical or translational research with the support of our extensive human research team; pursue educational scholarship in collaboration with other COM faculty members; and serve as a formal medical student advisor or mentor. The chosen applicants will also be expected to provide service to the educational programs and other missions of the college and university.
The UCF College of Medicine educates and inspires individuals to be exemplary physicians and scientists, leaders in medicine, scholars in discovery, and adopters of innovative technology to improve the health and well-being of all. The College of Medicine is an LCME-accredited medical college with an annual matriculation of 120 medical students and is part of a new Academic Health Sciences Center which includes multiple health affairs disciplines.
The College of Medicine campus is part of a growing biomedical cluster known as "Medical City" at Lake Nona, which is dedicated to innovation in health and wellness and continues development east of the Orlando International Airport. The College of Medicine is located in a well-equipped medical education building with modern Anatomy, Histology and simulation laboratories, as well as a state-of-the-art library. In addition to the medical school, the Lake Nona campus includes our recently opened university teaching hospital (UCF Lake Nona Hospital), a state-of-the-art research center at the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences, multi-college graduate education programs, UCF outpatient clinics, the Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the Nemours Children's Hospital, the new UCF Lake Nona Cancer Center, and the Guidewell Innovation research incubator. The nearby Osceola Regional Medical Center is another primary site of UME and GME instruction.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution and be board certified or eligible in dermatology. Candidates for the Mohs position must have completed a micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellowship.
The candidate's scholarly background and experience must be commensurate with the faculty rank for which the application is submitted.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who have at least three years of post-training clinical experience. There is a preference for candidates having previous publications in dermatology literature.

The Opportunity
The University of Central Florida (UCF) has established several interdisciplinary faculty research clusters to strengthen its academic offerings and research mission. In support of this effort, we invite candidates for two (2) tenure-earning assistant professor, tenured associate professor, or tenured professor positions with the university research center on Resilient, Intelligent, and Sustainable Energy Systems (RISES). The positions have an anticipated start date of August 8, 2026.
These are interdisciplinary positions that will be expected to strengthen both the RISES Center and a chosen tenure home department and may include a combination of joint appointments. A strong advantage of this position is the ability of the candidate to choose multiple units for their joint appointment in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, the College of Sciences, or both.
All candidates whose research are at the forefronts of energy systems, resilience, and sustainability will be considered. The technical fields of specific research interest for the two positions include but are not limited to:
Position # 1- Sustainable Energy Systems: Non-Combustion (Host Department: Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering):
An ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in pathways for novel processes of electric power generation and storage that do not involve combustion. The selected candidate should be proficient in process design, characterization, and modeling of low carbon electricity generation technologies that ensure access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable power for all. We seek candidates with a strong foundation in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and energy systems engineering, and a demonstrated research record in non-combustion-based electric power generation and/or energy storage.
Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to:
Advanced nuclear energy systems, including small modular reactors (SMRs), microreactors, molten salt reactors, liquid metal reactors and high-temperature gas cooled reactors, especially those supporting grid resilience.
Hydrogen production and storage, particularly hydrogen derived from nuclear or natural gas with carbon capture (blue hydrogen).
Thermal energy storage and high-efficiency heat exchangers for industrial and grid-scale applications.
Electrochemical systems, including next-generation batteries and fuel cells for defense, aerospace, and critical infrastructure.
Energy generation and storage systems modeling, optimization, and control, with emphasis on reliability, affordability, and national security.
Experimental platforms for high-temperature, high-pressure energy systems.
Risk-informed design of energy infrastructure.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to lead an independent, externally funded research program and contribute to interdisciplinary collaborations. A strong record of peer-reviewed publications, mentorship, and engagement with industry, national laboratories, or large-scale research initiatives is highly desirable. Experience with computational tools (e.g., CFD, FEA, system-level modeling) and/or experimental platforms for energy systems is expected.
Position # 2 - Machine Learning and AI for Energy Systems (Host Department: Computer Science and possibly Electrical and Computer Engineering Department):
An ideal candidate would have extensive experience applying modern machine learning techniques to solving complex problems within the energy systems. The candidate should have a strong foundation in deep learning techniques (including convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks and multi-head attention models). An experience with specialized foundation models is a plus.
Areas of interest include but are not limited to:
Energy market and load/generation forecasting, including short- and long-term demand prediction, renewable generation forecasting (solar, wind, hydro) under uncertainty, spatiotemporal modeling for distributed energy systems, energy markets, transfer learning and domain adaptation for data-scarce regions and integration of weather, mobility, and socioeconomic data for predictive modeling.
Distributed infrastructure resource management, including data-driven modeling and coordination of interdependent infrastructure systems and their subsystems (such as networks of transportation, gas, electricity grid), multi-agent reinforcement learning for distributed coordination and demand response optimization using AI.
Distributed infrastructure system optimization, such as real-time optimization of interdependent infrastructure and energy systems using AI and advanced control methods, hybrid physics-informed and data-driven modeling and control for stability and flexibility.
Energy system resiliency research, including detection of faults and cyber-attacks, outage prediction under extreme conditions, resilient cybersecurity solutions, and self-healing algorithms.
Candidates should demonstrate not only extensive experience in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and unsupervised learning but also evidence in interdisciplinary, human-centric, community-based, and data-driven research on energy systems.
Successful candidates will have research impact as reflected in high-quality publications and the ability to build a well-funded and sustainable research program. We are looking for team players who can further enhance our strong campus-wide efforts in energy systems research. The positions will carry ranks commensurate with the candidate's prior experience and record.
