Position Summary

Located in Southeastern Michigan, this full-time in-office position will operate in the retained executive search industry specializing in the placement of senior leadership and C-suite talent for companies. This role supports the Directors of Executive Recruitment (DER’s) by providing consistent project updates, maintaining communication, and ensuring a seamless recruitment process that is structured and requires research rigor for complex projects. The TDC will establish strong working relationships across the entire team and manage all aspects of recruitment documentation and workflow within the company’s proprietary database and systems. The ideal candidate enjoys research, data and connecting business strategy to talent.


Key Responsibilities

A. Direct Client Support

  • Partner with the Directors of Executive Recruitment (DER’s) to understand client needs, position requirements, and organizational culture.
  • Attend internal meetings with the search team(s) to gather essential industry knowledge, business and position information. Participate in internal recruitment project kick-off meetings to ensure alignment among all team members.
  • Fully understand the position profile and organizational context to help define required knowledge, skills, abilities, and behavioral traits.


B. Candidate Sourcing & Recruitment Project Management

  • Support the DER’s in analysis to identify target companies and mapping the market for potential candidates and sources.
  • Source candidates through an internal database and external platforms. Screen candidate profiles against position specifications to assess basic fit and flag high potential prospects. Create a customized project list for target candidates from desired target companies for the DER’s review. Source and identify a broader network of potential candidates to assess interest and qualifications.
  • Coordinate internal touchpoints: check-ins with the DER’s to review progress.
  • Follow up with candidates about next steps in the process.
  • Project manage, organize and schedule interviews, including candidate travel.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Initiate and conduct reference checks as directed by the DER’s.


C. Administrative Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain recruitment project files within the internal database and systems and the firm’s applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Accurately record all recruitment data and documentation.
  • Close out recruitment projects upon candidate start date.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager US Comanufacturing, is an active member of the Purchasing Team North America (NA), participates in sharing purchasing excellence and strategies, supporting teamwork, joint learning and development initiatives. Position Summary:

The Vice President of Global Sourcing initiates, develops and guides the comprehensive sourcing strategy for Family Dollar. Working closely with the Merchandising Teams, the VP provides the leadership and vision for all import product lines and categories across all lines of business. This role manages the Home Office sourcing team, the Quality and Compliance team as well as International Sourcing offices.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Develop and champion the import sourcing vision for the company – inclusive of people, process and technology across U.S. and foreign based sourcing staff

2. Develop and champion the Quality and Compliance vision for the company – inclusive of people, process and technology across U.S. and foreign based quality staff

3. Work collaboratively with all aspects of merchandising, supply chain, legal, private label, marketing, store operations, risk, IT and others to ensure effective execution of the total sourcing and quality process

4. Continuously evaluate opportunities to expand new resources, factories and points of manufacturing for enhanced sourcing capabilities

5. Manage global vendor structure to meet all regulatory and compliance requirements

6. Manage P&L for all sourcing related entities to achieve planned and agreed to budgets

7. Support the merchandising teams in executing trend identification and strategic and tactical business initiatives

8. Partner with the merchandising leaders to build financial plans and evaluate business opportunities by classification to build long term strategies

9. Recruit, train, develop and mentor Global Sourcing and Quality & Compliance leaders

10. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

11. International and domestic travel required (30-40%)


Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • 15+ years of experience in Retail Buying, Product Development, or Sourcing
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – at all levels of management
  • Ability to build bridges and alliances with business partners – managing expectations and adeptly communicating strategies and tactics throughout the company
  • Strong financial acumen, analytics, problem-solving, multi-tasking and prioritization

As a Director Design, Development, and Sourcing Fish & Hunt Hard Goods & Gear, you play a pivotal role in leading the design and development of our most innovative and technologically advanced fly fishing and hunting hard goods — work grounded by deep, first-hand angling experience, field knowledge, and real-world testing, not just concept or CAD. You are responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, focusing on innovation, quality, and market trends within the fishing tackle and hunting industry. This role combines technical expertise in materials and engineering with creative direction and team management. You will be a key leader on the Product Team, comprised of 2 direct reports as well as the lead designer of all reels, waders, and wading boots. You will partner with our Product Leadership Team to create clear roles and responsibilities, define our new processes, and identify opportunities for simplification and efficiency. Position Interfaces:

This position reports to our Vice President of Product Design, Development, Sourcing, & Import Compliance and interfacing with multiple areas including merchandising, inventory management, marketing, finance, sourcing, wholesale, retail operations, manufacturing and ownership of the company. It is a director role that involves supervision of the Fish/Hunt Hard Goods product design, development/sourcing team. This is an exempt/ salary position.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead a customer-obsessed Fish and Hunt Hard Goods Product Design & Development/Sourcing Team
  • Lead a culture of partnership, communication, and collaboration across the organization
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic plan for new product design and development that aligns to deliver the Assortment Strategy, thus ensuring alignment with market and customer needs as well as company and financials goals, specifically target retail, AUC and IMU across all Fish/Hunt Hard Goods products.
  • Design Inspiration – Lead the Hardgoods / Innovation Design Kickoff, the Design “blank canvas” to push the Orvis brand forward and ensure that we are leaders in innovation.

  • Deliver the Line: Ensure that the products agreed upon through the Design Kickoff and Assortment Strategy deliver on time and are discussed at DDR 1, 2 and Final Line Adoption. Aim for 90% of products aligned upon launch on time.
  • People Management - Coach the team by providing consistent and candid feedback to ensure great partnership and collaboration with cross functional partners. Guide team to have effective communication and influence decision making. Hold the team accountable for milestone preparation and on-time delivery of product.Inspire the team to make decisions in milestones to reduce swirl and to keep all key partners up to date.
