The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology & Emory University invites applications from exceptional senior candidates working in the area of Neuroengineering, broadly defined. The successful candidate will be named the Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Eminent Scholar in Neuroengineering, an endowed position specific to the Georgia Tech campus. GRA eminent scholars are expected to engage in or contribute to translational and/or economic development efforts in their field. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Appointment is expected at the rank of full professor with tenure.
The department seeks a visionary scholar-educator and proven leader in high impact and emerging areas of importance to human health and biomedicine. We are specifically interested in the areas of neuroengineering and neuroscience, particularly developing and using approaches in machine learning and AI, with neurotranslational potential. Along with excellent scholarship, candidates are expected to have demonstrated strong leadership in building and leading extramurally funded research programs, noteworthy dedication to innovative teaching and mentoring of diverse undergraduate and graduate student bodies, as well as national and international recognition. For this event we are hiring for:
Industrial Electricians, Industrial Maintenance Mechanics, Facility Technician.
Also Finishing First Press Operators (folding, perfing, bindery and digital experience preferred).
We offer a compressed work schedule, consisting of 3 to 4,12-hour shifts per week ( either 7:00 am - 7:00 pm /7:00 pm. - 7:00 am for First press Operators), and (6:00 am - 6:00 pm / 6:00 pm -6:00 am for Electricians, Mechanics and Facility) including shifts on days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This schedule is designed to support work-life balance. Overtime opportunities are available and compensated after 40 hours per week. For those working nights permanently, we offer a $1.25/hr. shift premium!
Pay scale's vary depending on experience:
Finishing First Pressman - (21.00 to 26.00)
Mechanics - (23.00 to 33.00)
Electricians - (23.00 to 35.00)

This is an excellent opportunity to learn the Printing/Finishing process from the ground up in a progressive, high β tech manufacturing environment. Many employees who start in this role advance into full β time Machine Operator positions, making this an ideal entry point for individuals seeking long β term career growth.

This position follows a 2-3 (day) workweek with working every other weekend 7am-7pm

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Press assistant
Hanging rolls of Pre-printed paper
Work with glue/ink and maintain glue/ink pockets
Scanning and tracking rolls
Follow all quality, safety, and production guidelines
Communicate effectively with team members
Assist with special handwork, and customer β specific requests
Maintain clean and orderly work areas
First Pressman
Setting/monitoring/maintaining register and folds/perfs/die cuts
Setting up computers, units/folders and auxillary equipment
Assisting in preventive maintenance
Follow all quality, safety, and production guidelines
Communicate effectively with team members
Assist with special handwork, and customer β specific requests
Maintain clean and orderly work areas
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Printing, factory, or mechanical experience is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to read/write measurements
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic computer/touchscreen skills
Ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist movements
Ability to lift 10-20 lbs regularly and handle materials up to 80 lbs
Ability to move materials from pallets (up to 48") to work surfaces (42")

Quad is currently seeking experienced Finishing Operators to work at our Wisconsin locations, such as Sussex, Hartford and Lomira. These operators are responsible for set up and operation of Finishing equipment to customer specifications. In addition, the individual selected for this role will be expected to lead by example by holding employees accountable to Quad's safety initiatives. Starting wage for these roles start at $21+

Qualifications
Candidates must have experience operating machinery. The ability to bend and lift 10-15 pounds continuously, ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, stand long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects, performing repetitious tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with or without a reasonable accommodation is necessary. Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts including days, nights, evenings and weekends is required. Mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills, including good verbal and written comprehension is required. The ability to perform basic math calculations is essential. Prior Finishing Operator experience and proven familiarity of Finishing equipment is desired.

In this position, you will need:
- Make ready and operate equipment based on the written instructions provided.
- Establish and maintain color and/or fold and mechanical quality to BPC standards.
- Continuously monitor the product for quality and approve or reject.
- Direct, guide, and coordinate the activities of assigned crew members to exceed production standards while maintaining customer quality.
- Perform assigned make-ready duties.
- Complete required general maintenance and lubrication assignments.
- Complete required documentation, electronic and paper, for an assigned job.
- Perform duties of other Print Service manufacturing positions as needed, following requisiteΒ training.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of previous Print Operator experience, including setup and operation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude isΒ required.
- Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed to run the product for the highest quality in the safestΒ manner.
- Perform basic maintenance andΒ troubleshooting.
- Must have the ability to utilize a computer to ensure the quality of theΒ product.
- Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions, and use vision to identifyΒ defects.

The Opportunity
As a dedicated Sr. Field Auto Appraiser, you will within defined guidelines and framework responsible for the investigation, negotiation, evaluation and appraisal of vehicle damage claims for both repairable and total loss vehicles to ensure estimate accuracy in compliance with state laws and regulations. Accountable for delivering exceptional member service through setting appropriate expectations, proactive communications, advice, and empathy.
What you'll do:
With the use of digital tools, evaluates and appraises highly complex auto physical damage claims in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract, corporate guidelines and state laws and regulations.
Investigates claim damages including communicating with the insured, internal claims adjusters, and third parties/vendors. May require face-to-face interactions with members and third parties.
Reviews facts of loss and vehicle damage to determine if subrogation opportunities exist and ensures all supporting physical damage documentation is in the claim.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of P&C insurance industry products, services, contracts, and internal processes/systems/procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policy provisions.
Reviews claims/suppliers for fraud indicators and refers to Special Investigations Unit for handling, if applicable.
Maintains accurate and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process for complex claims.
Maintains high standards of productivity through effective desk management, timely follow ups, and accurate mapping of repair plan and timeline for repair in support of fast and accurate claims adjudication.
Responsible for reviewing additional damages received from repair facilities to either complete a supplement or triage to field provider method of inspection.
May serve as a subject matter expert representative for disputed claims or trials. Serves as a resource to team members on escalated issues of a routine nature.
Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate the highest complexity claims resolution. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
Proactively provides policyholders with information regarding their coverage, repair estimate or total loss valuation, and claims/repair process while setting appropriate expectations.
Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including required on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.
May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.
Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
2 years of auto appraising experience.
Proficient knowledge of P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages, auto parts distribution process and claim appraisal process and procedures.
Advanced working knowledge of estimating losses using CCC or similar estimating platforms.
Demonstrated written and verbal skills to communicate with members, claimants, repair facilities, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.

Compensation range:Β The salary range for this position is: $63,590 - $121,530.
