Fiber Network Planning Engineer / Network Architect

We are seeking a highly motivated Fiber Network Planning Engineer / Network Architect to join our team in Conshohocken, PA. This is a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity for a skilled engineering professional with experience in utility and fiber network design who is eager to contribute to large-scale transport and fiber initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess existing and future transport solutions using design tools such as GIS, considering location type, substation size, remote access requirements, and other key factors
• Participate in weekly client fiber project reviews, quarterly network planning sessions, and coordination meetings
• Coordinate with GIS teams to document logical schematics and geographic network designs, including MPLS, DWDM, and SONET systems
• Collaborate with network design engineering teams to integrate fiber designs into network packages
• Provide technical guidance on transport solutions and network topology
• Coordinate FRP buildout plans with the Portfolio Development Lead to establish schedules and budgets
• Support the creation and submission of Fiber Optic Work Requests (FOWR)
• Review fiber cost estimates, scope documents, and design packages to ensure technical accuracy and constructability
• Document fiber initiatives, update process documentation, and develop client-facing deliverables and “How-To” guides
• Conduct site visits to assess substation control house conditions and determine equipment needs
• Perform additional investigation of distribution lines along fiber routes as required

Required Qualifications

• One of the following education/experience combinations:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited) + 3+ years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred), OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology (ABET accredited) + FE exam completion + 3+ years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred), OR
• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering + 2+ years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred)
• Utility or fiber network design experience required
• Familiarity with GIS design tools, including ESRI environments (ArcGIS Pro and/or FME preferred)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage complex information and apply engineering principles across diverse assignments
• Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow technically

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of engineering experience in development of multi-modal plans. Experience with active transportation plans, complete street plans, corridor plans, and safety plans preferred.

Licensure: AICP or PTP certification preferred

 ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilizes Transportation software to create and manage transportation schedules for external vendors and Transcare when needed.
• Acts as a point of contact to external vendors for transportation needs and scheduling rides for participants.
• Tracks trips in real time and make adjustments as needed throughout the day.
• Utilizes scheduling software to optimize trips for Transcare and monitors rides assigned to external vendors.
• Utilizes scheduling software to run reports and analyze data to improve efficiency in Transportation department.
• Responds to inquiries with regards to external vendor services and with Transcare as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years previous Transportation experience
• Valid state Driver’s License from the state of residence
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively in a high pressure environment.

The Resort Transportation Driver is responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to guests while transporting their luggage and providing other services as needed. The successful candidate is professional, personable, and has excellent customer service skills.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

· Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and helping manner

· Pickup, transport, and drop off Resort guests to and from Resort, Theme Park, Water Park, Safari, and guest parking lot

· Safely load, unload, and transfer luggage in and out of vehicles

· Converse with guest while providing information on the property, resort, and amenities offered

· Maintain cleanliness of transportation vehicles, work location, property, and hotel perimeter

· Transport guest and luggage from Resort Lodge to their accommodations

· Tags articles and stores luggage in an organize manner

· Ensure the appropriate amount of transport vehicles and seats are available prior to guest arrival based on reservation size

· Communicate guests needs and information to Front Desk staff in a timely manner

· Supplies guests with travel information, such as transportation information, routes and schedules

· Act as a runner for Front Desk team as needed

· Assists other departments as needed

· 18 years or older

· Adhere to Six Flags Great Adventure Resort Driving Policies

· Must have Valid driver's license in good standing and pass the Six Flags Driving Test

· Operate the Front Desk system to confirm arrival times, reservation size, and complete vehicle registration
