Senior Content Marketing Manager, Global Products Marketing San Francisco, CA
🏒 Rippling

San Francisco, CA 2 weeks ago
Senior Content Marketing Manager, Global Products

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365β€”all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investorsβ€”including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrockβ€”and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @ addresses.

About the role

Rippling's Global product suite - spanning Global HRIS, Payroll, BenAdmin, Employer of Record, and Contractors - is both the largest and one of the fastest growing product suites. The pandemic changed hiring forever, and companies are looking for all-in-one solutions to manage their global workforces.

As our Senior Content Marketing Manager, Global Products, you’ll be the lead storyteller for our Global product. You’ll deeply research Global HR leaders to find the hooks they care about and turn those insights into different types of content, from deep-dive whitepapers to viral social-first videos. Your creed: deliver HR leaders content they crave and show how Rippling can help them scale across borders.

This role is for someone who loves the craft and the strategy: you’re not just strategizing and planning, you’re interviewing customers, writing the scripts, penning research papers, and stepping in front of the camera. Expect to move fast, run tight experiments, scale what works, and grow your career!

Because Rippling’s Global suite shares its addressable market with our Core HR products, this role is uniquely collaborative. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Core HR marketing team to plug into existing growth engines while spinning up new β€œGlobal-first” content that creates net-new opportunities and accelerates cross-sell.

This role is based in our San Francisco office.

What you will do

  • Become an expert on Global HR leaders: Immerse yourself in this community, both online and IRL, to uncover insights, pain points, and hooks.
  • Turn complex topics into compelling stories: Take dry, complex topics (like global compliance) and transform them into magnetic hooks and fun, compelling stories that people actually want to consume.
  • Create and pen β€œclassic” B2B tentpole assets: Write and produce high-quality reports, whitepapers, and launch assets.
  • Scale video: Rapidly ship and test new formats like a video series, podcasts, social-first content, and webinars.
  • Own the Global content roadmap: Set the narrative, strategy, and content roadmap that drives awareness and pipeline.

What you will need

  • Experimental mindset + scrappy execution: You move fast and prototype often. You know the B2B playbook, and you’re also willing to push beyond it.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling: You are a clear writer who can craft everything from an engaging blog post to a whitepaper covering a complex topic.
  • A creator’s track record: Proven success building an audience whether via a YouTube channel, a viral newsletter, or a significant social following.
  • A "spike" in video: Deep experience storyboarding, scripting, and delivering on-camera content. You know how to make a B2B video feel premium and engaging.
  • Metric obsession: You have a "nose" for what will go viral, but you back it up by obsessing over data and constantly iterating to improve performance.
  • A distinctive voice: You bring energy, clarity, and taste and know how to push beyond standard B2B without losing credibility.

*Even if you don’t meet all of these requirements, we still encourage you to apply.

Why you’ll love this role

  • Own the full motion: You aren’t a cog in a big machine. You will own the end-to-end content motion (from strategy to execution) for one of Rippling’s biggest and most important bets.
  • The "Pod" advantage: You’ll be part of a dedicated marketing pod ready to promote your work across every channel. You create the sparks, they provide the fuel!
  • A culture of experimentation: We love bold, provocative ideas and give you the license to try things never done in B2B.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a strategic, data-driven marketing leader to oversee portfolio management, performance insights, and investment optimization across our U.S. performance marketing programs.

As the Senior Manager, Portfolio & Analysis, you’ll be responsible for unifying the view of marketing efficiency β€” connecting spend, pipeline, and ROI across channels (paid search, paid social, programmatic, display, and emerging digital). You’ll act as the key business partner to regional marketing, finance, and analytics teams to optimize budgets, inform investment decisions, and ensure marketing performance aligns with company growth objectives.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and operations β€” ideal for someone who enjoys turning data into direction, building systems of insight, and driving cross-functional accountability for performance.

This role is based in San Francisco.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the U.S. paid media reporting, trade-off, investment portfolios insights and framework β€” guiding where and how budgets are deployed across channels, funnels, and audiences.

  • Build scalable reporting and synthesized global analysis to help support management of budget pacing, forecasting, and scenario models that align spend to pipeline, CAC, and ROI goals.

  • Partner with Finance, Marketing Strategy, and Regional Leads to determine quarterly allocation strategies and ROI scenarios.

  • Identify portfolio-level opportunities and trade-offs β€” shifting investment based on marginal efficiency and saturation signals.

  • Lead ongoing spend optimization check-ins (weekly and monthly) to ensure dollars are driving measurable business outcomes across stages of the funnel.

  • Anchor on North Star metrics and reporting structure for performance marketing efficiency (CAC, LTV:CAC, ROI, payback period, MQL-to-pipeline conversion, etc.).

  • Partner with Data, Analytics, and RevOps to ensure campaign data integrity across Salesforce, Marketo, and ad platforms.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and scorecards (in Looker, Tableau, or BigQuery) that provide real-time visibility into performance.

  • Own monthly business reviews (MBRs) and quarterly performance readouts with marketing and leadership stakeholders.

  • Work cross-functionally to improve data capture, attribution, and channel-level insight granularity.

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to evaluate channel performance, cohort efficiency, and incremental impact.

  • Partner with channel leads (SEM, Paid Social, Display) to identify efficiency drivers and recommend actionable optimizations.

  • Run what-if and sensitivity analyses to inform investment decisions under different pipeline or efficiency scenarios.

  • Translate complex data sets into clear narratives and executive-ready insights.

  • Collaborate with Global Performance Strategy, Regional Marketing, and Finance on annual and quarterly planning.

  • Partner with Data Science and Attribution teams to evolve incrementality testing, MMMs, and performance modeling.

  • Ensure marketing investment decisions are informed by pipeline contribution and revenue data from Salesforce.

  • Serve as the center of excellence for financial discipline, pacing governance, and performance accountability across paid media.

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets for budget modeling, pacing, and scenario planning.

  • Strong experience with data visualization and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Data Studio).

  • Hands-on familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) and Marketo for campaign data validation and pipeline attribution.

  • Experience querying or analyzing data from BigQuery, Snowflake, or SQL databases.

  • Understanding of digital channel data structures (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, DSPs) and their integration with CRM and BI systems.

  • Comfort working across attribution models (last touch, MTA, MMM, incrementality) and translating findings for non-technical stakeholders.

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum requirements for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in performance marketing, marketing analytics, or growth finance, ideally within B2B SaaS or fintech.

  • Strong understanding of marketing funnel dynamics, from awareness to closed-won revenue.

  • Excellent communication and executive-presentation skills; able to influence cross-functional decision-making.

  • Deep comfort working with ambiguity, connecting disparate data sources, and building clarity through structure.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or Data Analytics (MBA a plus).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in a global marketing organization supporting multiple regions and segments.

  • Familiarity with MMM, incrementality testing, and marketing mix modeling methodologies.

  • Knowledge of data warehouse structures and ETL processes supporting marketing analytics.

  • Experience building or maintaining automated pacing and performance reporting tools.
