We're looking for a Business Account Executive to join our Commercial Sales team! In this roleΒ you will be a solution seller by identifying opportunities to leverage TDS’ full complement of solutions and technology offerings which encompass, hosted and premise-based VoIP solutions, managed services, and web security.Β  You are a business-to-business sales professional and accountable for developing new business opportunities by cold calling and prospecting (door to door). You will focus on uncovering customer needs, understanding key business drivers, leveraging the latest technology, and delivering compelling TDS solutions to our prospects that meet their business needs in a timely manner.Β Β

What does a day in the life of a Business Account Executive at TDS look like?

Β 

You'll start by gathering with your team in the office to start out your day. There will be a brief team meeting, opportunity to share successes, challenges, and plans as well as learn and share best practices. While there are some scheduled Team's Meetings, such as trainings, or 1 on 1s with your manager, the majority of your time will be spent prospecting, developing opportunities and closing and processing sales while creating your activity plan in our CRM (Salesforce).



Responsibilities:
  • Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers through a combination of telephone and in-person cold calls, networking and referrals to obtain appointments.
  • Meet or exceed sales growth targets by conducting sales calls to determine customer needs, gain information, determine how TDS can help solve business challenges, and effectively communicate TDS’ value proposition to prospective customers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer status and forecasts utilizing the CRM system for all new prospective sales. Build and maintain relationships with customers, contact, prospects, and lead sources.
  • Leverage the TDS CRM system to develop prospecting and sales strategies that ensure high activity and effective closing ratios for new customers.
  • Write and submit accurate and timely new orders following the established sales process.


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales experience.
  • 1+ years of cold calling experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, insurance, and have access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate new customer sales for TDS by knocking on residential doors and engaging prospects at community events. Present and sell Internet, TV, Voice, and Mobile services, answer questions, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.

Position Description Overall Responsibilities: Job shadow and learn alongside multiple Department Managers on general supervisory skills including employee training, appraisals, and terminations.

Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify, analyze and improve processes and be accountable for accurate and timely completion of production orders.

Essential Job Functions: Observe performance annual evaluations, hiring and corrective actions for positions Promote a safe work environment Other duties as assigned by the manager Supervise and coordinate activities of production team Monitor daily and weekly production schedules and goals Organize and assign work duties of employees Evaluate employee performance and complete timely appraisals Maintain accurate employee records Inspect quality of product at each workstation Practice good housekeeping in all areas Position Requirements Qualifications: Major in Business Management or related field Entering Junior or Senior year Self-motivated Strong organizational skills Excellent communication (verbal and written) Respectful of employees, vendors and customers All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards as well as to adhere to the Attendance Policy of VT Industries.

Physical Requirements Tolerance for sitting long periods of time.

Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator.

Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal.

Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional moderate lifting (50 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required.

Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Ability to climb up or down ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.

Ability to bend body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
