Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to join the Karl Lagerfeld Paris design team. This role will support the VP of Design in the creation and development of a competitive apparel product line that balances commercial viability with elevated, brand-right fashion.

The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong technical skills, organizational ability, and a keen eye for detail who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all aspects of design packages including sketching, tech packs, and maintaining line sheets.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed tech packs from initial development through production.
  • Submit and approve artwork/strike-offs, yarns, lab dips, trims, and related materials.
  • Organize and maintain design development materials including artwork, trims, fabric worksheets, finalized tech packs, and line lists.
  • Communicate and collaborate with overseas factories to ensure timely and accurate development.
  • Manage and adhere to the Time and Action Calendar to meet seasonal deadlines.
  • Support seasonal development by preparing presentation materials and assisting in design reviews with the VP of Design.
  • Assist in sourcing seasonal inspiration, fabrics, and trims that align with the Karl Lagerfeld Paris brand aesthetic.
  • Maintain fabric and trim libraries and support sample tracking and organization.

Overview:


ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Test Engineer will work within the Performance Engineering team, developing and executing validation tools to ensure products deliver an exceptional customer experience, meet safety requirements, and perform in accordance with established test standards. This role requires hands-on experience in mechanical design, heat transfer, data collection, and a strong understanding of general mechanical engineering principles. The Test Engineer will collaborate closely with Product and Operations teams to support the delivery of fully tested and validated grills, sub-assemblies, and related technologies, and under the guidance of the Lead Test Engineer, this position will be responsible for thoroughly validating products using a wide range of engineering principles to support the successful launch of new products. This full-time position is located in Salt Lake City, UT.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform various engineering evaluations through the collection of data
  • Issue reports and recommendations based on analytics gathered across multiple platforms and teams
  • Prepare test fixtures, data acquisition systems, create test lab procedures and schedules
  • Test prototype grills for performance verification, temperature stability, and quality improvements in complex environments
  • Implement Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) processes and communicate across supply chain partners
  • Create standard operating procedures for suppliers and manufacturers
  • Set up and execute testing in accordance with ETL, CE, and SAA standards for compliance certification globally
  • Design and perform experimentation for early validation and verification of focused designs and full product concepts
  • Provide design input for DFM during product development to ensure adherence to functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements
  • Work with Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering to understand trends in the field and implement solutions
  • Input new parts and SKUs into inventory management systems and assist with the management of warranty and service parts


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Solid grasp of mechanical principles and heat transfer
  • Ability to design, build, and execute tests using Excel, SolidWorks, and LabVIEW, including fixture development, data acquisition, test procedures, and results reporting
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and pivot in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly collaborative, team driven work environment
  • Eagerness to lead, participate, and be proactive
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
