Job Description
The Compliance and Privacy Manager oversees, in pertinent part, the following compliance risk areas: (i) general compliance and compliance program effectiveness; (ii) fraud, waste and abuse and Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 workforce member and contractor compliance; (iii) patient and employee confidentiality, organizational privacy, information governance, and data risk classification; (iv) accountable care organization compliance; (v) Medicare C & D/Medicare Advantage compliance program requirements; (vi) Federal healthcare program compliance; and (vii) other assigned risk areas identified through organizational experience, risk identification activities, or regulatory mandates.
- The Manager will support the Director of Corporate Compliance to ensure implementation of appropriate policies and procedures, support compliance training, conduct investigations.
- Perform compliance program effectiveness reviews based on the seven (7) elements of an effective compliance program as set forth in: (i) relevant U.S. Department of Health and Human Services compliance program guidance; (ii) U.S. Sentencing Commission Guidelines Manual; (iii) U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, compliance program guidance; (iv) CMS Conditions of Participation; (v) Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organization Compliance guidance and regulatory requirements; and (vi) Medicare C & D/Medicare Advantage compliance program requirements.
- Maintain a system of reporting and ensure the integrity of all compliance investigations, direct and coordinate internal audits, and monitor HIPAA/Patient Privacy compliance.
- The Manager ensures that the Compliance Program effectively promotes prevention, detection, and resolution of instances of improper conduct to ensure conformity to state or federal laws, regulatory requirements, hospital policies, patient privacy, IT Security or the standards of conduct.
- The Manager will be responsible for following up on reported incidents of non-compliance, conduct and or coordinate internal investigations and prepare reports on the incidents and investigation findings.
- The Manager will be responsible for assessing compliance of the organization's policies and assist in updating or developing new policies.
- The Manager will assist in evaluating areas of potential billing, Stark, Anti-kickback compliance or patient privacy risk and collaborate with other managers within the organization to work with management to implement solutions to eliminate potential risks.
- Manage and investigate compliance questions, complaints, and reported incidents in collaboration with management, legal and human resources, as needed.
- Responsible for Compliance Program data analytics to develop reports for monitoring and auditing, case management and federal reporting.
- Responsible for developing organizational wide compliance communication plan, communications, and training programs.
- Coordinate HIPAA Security compliance activities with the AH HIPAA Security Officer/Information Security Officer.
- Investigate HIPAA-related complaints and draft corresponding reports.
- Draft responses to HIPAA-related regulatory inquiries.
- Review business associate agreements, data use agreements, and limited data set agreements and ensure said agreements are acceptable as to compliance form and meet standard form internal requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits pertaining to assigned compliance risk areas.
- Conduct compliance and privacy training and education.
- Prepare PowerPoints and present educational or compliance-related topics to AH constituents.
- Draft compliance and HIPAA-related policies and procedures, as well as policies and procedures related to other assigned risk areas.
- Assist in conflict-of-interest reviews, evaluations, and determinations.
- Assist in conflict-of-interest endorsement requests reviews.
Qualifications:
• Education: A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and admission to the bar to practice law in one of the 50 States (or Washington, D.C.) of the U.S. is required. The holding of a Master’s Degree in public health, healthcare, accounting, allied health, clinical-related studies, compliance, audit, computer science, finance, education, law, privacy, information security, information governance, or another field related to the responsibilities of the position at hand, is a plus.
• Certifications: Candidates who hold the “CCEP” or “CHC” designation from the Compliance Certification Board are strongly preferred. Any successful candidate who does not hold the “CHC” designation at the time of appointment will be required to obtain the same within 12 months of appointment. A successful candidate must obtain either the “CISA”, “CRISC”, or “AAIA” designation from ISACA within eighteen (18) months of employment.
Experience:
• Five years minimum of health care compliance experience, health care administration, legal, fraud, waste, and abuse; internal audit, organizational compliance, regulatory affairs or a filed related to the responsibilities of the position at hand, is preferred.
• Experience in conducting compliance investigations, legal internal investigations, or similar investigations is required;
• Managerial experience in a healthcare organization or related setting is preferred.
Technical:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Job Overview
The Complaint Engineer I conducts complaint investigations to identify causes of reported product defects. The role analyzes complaint data to detect undesirable trends and performs escalation request to drive effective corrective actions. It collaborates crossfunctionally to support timely resolution of product issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Perform complaint investigations to determine potential cause(s). This includes evaluating field-reported information, reviewing applicable risk assessments, instructions for use (IFU), trend data, and other relevant documentation. The primary goal is to determine possible failure mechanisms and contributing factors related to the reported issue
- Initiate, own and support Corrective and/or Preventive Actions
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly data analysis of complaints to identify adverse trends

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.

The Roth Firm is looking to add entry level Staff Attorneys to our dynamic team in both Atlanta, Georgia and Nashville, TN.
Successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing Personal Injury claims from inception through resolution, preparing cases under senior attorneys and be willing to learn in an environment conducive to entry-level attorneys within the personal injury space.

Job Requirements:
The Staff Attorney is required to take all cases within a pipeline from the first phone call to the result of the case, while consistently maintaining a high level of client service and attention. Must be able to focus and perform the entire process of the case which includes, but not limited to gathering police reports, medical records, coordinating medical care for clients, drafting letters and demands, maintaining a pristine calendar of deadlines, and handle negotiations and pre-litigation tasks. Must be able to analyze and research information, document, and manage a high-volume case load efficiently and independently. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and demonstrate acute attention to detail. Excellent organizational, written and communication skills are essential. Job Duties:
Complete the necessary training within the firm, and adhere to all practice policies & procedures within the firm. Establish initial communication and maintain consistent communication with clients and maintain detailed file progress from inception and pre-suit. Act as the center of communication for client, senior attorneys, med providers, lien holders, and Insurance companies. File all necessary documentation, draft demands and participate in legal research for cases in litigation. Coordinate medical care for clients as necessary. Escalate issues to the managing attorney as needed. Gather all records and bills necessary to advance the case. Manage a large caseload proactively using the case management system by working the assigned task list aggressively to move cases. Evaluate merits of claim and negotiate settlements once fully trained. Communicate with opposing counsel. Determine the necessity of litigation and pursue litigation cases of all sizes aggressively. Maintain all client relationships in the best interest of the firm, including educating the client on processes and setting appropriate client expectations.

Position Summary
The Labor and Employment Counsel will serve as the primary legal advisor on all employment and labor matters for Relay Resources. This role will lead employee and union relations strategy and compliance with federal and state employment laws. The role will partner with Relay Resources HR leadership to foster a disability-centric, inclusive, and legally compliant workplace. The Counsel will act as a trusted advisor to executives and managers on labor negotiations, grievance handling, workforce policies, and internal investigations of employee complaints.
Key Responsibilities
Labor Relations Leadership
- Serve as the lead strategist promoting collaborative labor relations and the lead negotiator for collective bargaining agreements.
- Manage union relationships with SEIU (Service Employees International Union) and LIUNA (Laborers’ International Union of North America), and ensure compliance with labor contracts.
- Advise on contract administration, grievance handling, and arbitration processes, including strategy, resolution, and prevention.
- Maintain effective relationships with union leadership and industry labor relations contacts, and monitor trends related to wages, hours, working conditions, and benefits.
- Ensure Relay Resources team leaders have the tools and training required to effectively create a disability-inclusive work environment, consistent with customer requirements and in compliance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Employment Law Compliance

We are seeking a flexible, experienced In-House Employment/HR Lawyer to join our team. You will be our key advisor on all employment and HR-related legal matters. This role requires a professional who can provide expert legal counsel, navigate complex employee relations, and ensure that our business practices align with all applicable laws and and regulations. The structure, hours, and salary for this position are flexible and will be determined based on the ideal candidate's experience and preferences.
Essential Responsibilities
- Legal Counsel: Advise management on a wide range of employment law matters, including best practices, regulations, and potential risks.
