Role Summary: The Housing Retention Specialist will execute supportive services within NAICA’s "light touch" supportive housing program. Their interventions aim to facilitate long-term housing stability, assisting formerly homeless families in averting eviction and avoiding a return to shelter. Managing a caseload of up to 20 households comprising formerly homeless individuals and families, the Specialist will conduct bi-weekly home visits post-move-in. As households acclimate to their new residences, service levels will be tailored accordingly, ensuring appropriateness for each household. Emphasizing prevention, efforts will focus on sustaining benefits/subsidies, preventing rent arrears, and facilitating referrals to community-based services for seamless community integration. Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:

The Housing Retention Specialist is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Conduct regular home visits in tenant apartments and escort to appointments as needed.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to assess individuals and families observed and self-identified needs and create mutually agreed upon service plans.
  • Provide assistance obtaining and maintaining entitlements and benefits, including advocacy and guidance with subsidy recertification, Public Assistance, SSI/SSDI, voucher renewal, and SCRIE/DRIE applications and renewal.
  • Promote financial literacy including groups and workshops, individual sessions providing assistance creating and managing a household budget, referral to financial repair services, etc.
  • Connection to short-term rental assistance by referring households in need to the local Homebase provider and other rental assistance programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION


We are seeking a dedicated and talented individual to serve as a Civic Engagement Associate. The Civic Engagement Associate will work to empower the Korean and wider Asian American community in Northern New Jersey through voter engagement, organizing, education and advocacy around voting and immigrant rights.


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Plan and execute educational workshops and community outreach events.
  • Help coordinate voter outreach and educational activities, including developing bilingual educational materials, door-to-door canvassing, and executing voter registration and engagement efforts.
  • Build relationships with other organizations and coalitions and coordinate Citywide and Statewide immigration advocacy for community members.
  • Research and maintain up to date information on key community issues and immigration policies.
  • Input and maintain data on organizing and civic engagement activities in MinKwon database.
  • Represent MinKwon in coalition spaces and in meetings with other external partners such as government agencies, elected officials, and funders.
  • Work closely with communications staff to plan media activities that raise awareness of our campaigns and activities through mainstream and ethnic press, and to develop external communications materials such as factsheets and pamphlets.
  • Support the development staff with timely reports, data, and other grant management needs related to the activities of the New Jersey site.
  • Support the work of the other New Jersey programs as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS


The minimum required qualifications for this position include the following:

  • Experience in grassroots community organizing and/or community outreach.
  • Spoken and written fluency in Korean.
  • Flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and outside normal office hours.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with an openness to public speaking.
  • Experience working with diverse communities of color and in particular with the AAPI community.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Cost Recovery efforts (your main focus—about 60–70%).
  • Pull, analyze, and present data using pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, charts, and graphs.
  • Build and refine reports for leadership.
  • Manage vendor and customer follow up to resolve disputes.
  • Support the Warranty team as needed on claims, documentation, and coverage decisions.
  • Communicate professionally across all levels—from production staff to VPs.

What You Bring

  • Strong Excel skills (non negotiable).
  • Experience in Cost Recovery, Warranty, Claims, or Customer Service with financial follow up.
  • Ability to write clean reports and explain the story behind the numbers.
  • Comfortable working independently and jumping into complex issues.
  • Microsoft 365 experience.
  • Bonus: SAP, aviation or automotive industry experience

Job Description:

  • The Product Designer, OTT will play a critical role in shaping how audiences experience live and on-demand content across the client and connected-TV platforms. This role focuses on designing intuitive, media-rich experiences optimized for the television screen — helping viewers navigate content, engage with live news, and access video seamlessly across Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung, and other major OTT surfaces.
  • You will partner closely with product, engineering, and editorial teams to translate content and business requirements into polished, platform-appropriate interfaces. This includes ownership of core OTT surfaces such as home screens, navigation, video players, content discovery, and live coverage experiences.
  • The ideal candidate combines strong product thinking with a deep understanding of 10-foot UI design, lean-back viewing behavior, and the constraints of building across multiple connected-TV platforms. This role requires a systems-level mindset to ensure consistency, reliability, and performance across a matrixed, multi-brand environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Design intuitive, platform-appropriate OTT experiences for the client across major connected-TV platforms including Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and Samsung.
  • Own and evolve core OTT surfaces including home screens, navigation, video players, content discovery, and live and breaking news experiences.
  • Translate editorial priorities and content hierarchies into clear, visually compelling interfaces optimized for lean-back viewing and D-pad navigation.
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to define interaction patterns, platform constraints, and release requirements across multiple OTT environments.
  • Optimize information hierarchy and content density to support passive discovery as well as intentional, goal-driven navigation.

  • Contribute to and extend the design system with components tailored for OTT surfaces and connected-TV conventions.

Experience:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or interaction design, with demonstrated work on OTT, streaming, or connected-TV products.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with dual screen interaction, 10-foot UI design, lean-back viewing contexts, or media-rich platform experiences.
  • Proven ability to design within platform constraints where clarity, performance, and navigation simplicity are critical.
  • Deep understanding of information architecture, D-pad interaction patterns, and UX conventions specific to connected-TV environments.
  • Experience designing consumer-facing products across multiple platforms or screen contexts.
