What this job involves –
Operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Assures that equipment is being maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs keeping records of past operating experiences. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment on all HVAC/R systems. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration and be multi skilled in electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Material Handling Equipment and others in order to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.
What is your day to day?
- Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
- Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings.
- Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities.
- Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
- Submit P-card Receipts Daily
- Update work order status in real time
- Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
- Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
- Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
- Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment)
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance. Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience utilizing CMMS (Work Order) systems
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
- Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC

This seasonal schedule provides a significantly better work-life balance than many traditional manufacturing roles—while still offering strong earning opportunities during peak months.During our busy season, the Rushville production site operates a variety of schedules:~1–3 Shifts Per Day~8–10 Hour Shifts~Rotating Shifts with a Premium Shift Bonus
When production slows, schedules transition to:~8 Hour Day Shifts~ Occasional Overtime , as Needed

Ensure operation of company equipment including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control devices, and HVAC, for process and facilityPerform electrical repairs, service, troubleshooting and scheduled inspections of equipment, following the prescribed guidelines and procedures.Review and assist program leaders and teams with the electrical safety program to ensure adherence and compliance.Adhere to all quality systems & safety procedures including environmental regulations, OSHA, PSM, and Corteva's safety procedures in everyday work routine.Make recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes including the addition of new devices, and hardware.You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
You are comfortable with technology and possess a good computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required.Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand, and sit for extended periods, Work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to 50 lbs. You are willing and able to maintain detailed equipment records and prints as required.You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you, and your colleagues go home safely every day.You value serving our customers and know operations must be supported for optimal uptime. You are willing and able to work overtime and shift hours, which include weekend and holidays during seasonal peaks to support production demand.
Experience with a work order and part inventory systemKnowledge and/or experience with Automation and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)Previous industrial maintenance work production equipment – (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, instrumentation and controls, HVAC, and general maintenance experience).Experience with SAP (or similar system) for work orders and parts inventory

Motivated- I cannot be with my employees at all times of the day, therefore I need someone that can stay focused and on task to complete the assigned jobs in a safe and efficient manner.

Able to climb ladders- We use ladders but try to not have to but it does happen able to lift and carry 40 to 50lb sprayers on your back.
Able to wear a respirator- We wear them everyday.
On time- as a person and employer I am a stickler on being on time.
Able to walk and bend- we put a lot of steps in in a day and oftentimes bending down to do the work required.
