Job Description:


AGE Solutions is looking for a Cable Technician to join our team onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA in support of our DoD customer. Due to the nature of work this role entails, telecommuting is not permitted and will require the employee to report full-time onsite.


The Cable Technician is responsible for installation and documentation of new and/or updated Inside Plant cable infrastructure to include conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber and all associated elements in the Pentagon, Mark Center & buildings within the National Capital Region (NCR).


Responsibilities Include:



  • Analyzes, administers, and maintains telecommunications and network cabling infrastructure.
  • Responsible for tasks assigned by Coordinators in connection with service orders and repair activities related to Category 6 cabling, Voice over IP networks (VOIP), and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs voice and data communications systems.
  • Interprets service orders, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Tests, locates, installs, and repairs cabling infrastructure associated with trouble calls, and performs routine maintenance.
  • Verifies work order information and receipt of all necessary equipment and information.
  • Verifies service by testing installed cabling, identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
  • Well versed in the use of network cabling test equipment including network testers, copper cable testers, fiber OTDRs and fiber power meters.
  • Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
  • Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentation.
  • Identify, track and remove abandoned cable, and keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards.
  • Dress, terminate and test cables and components including CAT6 and fiber optic cabling.
  • Must follow JSP and commercial best practice procedures, standards required for installation of cable racks, wiring of the racks and testing required during installation.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

  • Citizenship and Clearance:

    • US Citizenship is required.
    • Must have and maintain an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.

    • Associate's degree.
    • An additional 2 years of related technical experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

    • Must be familiar with BICSI rules, regulations, and standards.

Position Overview

As the Hospitality Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating new revenue by engaging major hotel brands and hospitality groups across the United States and Canada. What The Role Entails



We are seeking an authoritative and highly technical Senior Manager to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of telecommunications infrastructure across our global hyperscale data center portfolio. Focusing primarily on the Americas (AMERs) and Latin America (LATAM) with global oversight, this role transitions beyond individual engineering to full portfolio and personnel management. The ideal candidate will direct regional engineering staff, govern vendor relationships, enforce strict project execution sequencing, and ensure world-class delivery of our telecom strategy.



What You Will Get To Do



Team Leadership


· Directly manage, develop, and allocate resources for regional telecom engineering and development staff.

· Enforce strict project sequencing, ensuring internal scope and lease alignment is locked prior to external contractor pricing or legal counsel engagement.

· Manage departmental OpEx/CapEx budgets and oversee the external vendor bidding, negotiation, and award process.

· Serve as the primary technical authority and escalation point between CloudHQ, external design partners, and Tier 1 carriers.

Technical Architecture & Design


· Oversee and approve all telecommunications design packages across AMER, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.

· Architect OSP, ISP, ICN, and interconnect strategies at both campus and metro scales.

· Govern diverse fiber routing strategies and carrier-neutral MMR design standards.

· Direct high-density structured cabling architecture and long-term scalability planning.

· Coordinate Layer 2 and Layer 3 architecture, IP addressing schemes, and VLAN segmentation with network engineering teams.

· Evaluate designs against N, N+1, 2N, and 2N+1 redundancy models and fault-tolerant principles.

· Ensure cross-regional compliance with TIA-942, BICSI, IEEE, and applicable local codes and standards.



Project Execution & Delivery


· Manage and track multiple hyperscale projects simultaneously, holding internal teams and external vendors accountable to schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

· Identify risks, gaps, and design conflicts early, actively driving effective technical and commercial solutions.

· Develop, maintain, and govern telecom design standards, specifications, and best practices across the global portfolio.

· Review, coordinate, and formally approve telecom drawing markups and design packages (utilizing Bluebeam, Visio, and CAD tools).

· Lead telecom infrastructure audits and long-term capacity planning initiatives.

· Coordinate seamlessly with cross-functional executive teams including IT, network engineering, construction, and facilities.

What You Bring To The Role



· A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in telecommunications or network infrastructure engineering, including direct personnel and team management experience.

· 5+ years of mission-critical or hyperscale data center experience.

· Demonstrated experience leading multi-region or global telecom deployments and managing distributed regional staff.

Representative Duties

DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties involved in receiving, evaluating, prioritizing, and relaying 9-1-1, emergency, and non-emergency calls for service; inputs calls into computer system; dispatches appropriate units and coordinates response of emergency personnel; operates a variety of telecommunications equipment including radio, telephone, and computer aided dispatch systems; and performs a wide variety of specialized clerical duties involved in the preparation, maintenance, and release of materials related to law enforcement activities.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
Incumbents in the lateral position are experienced law enforcement dispatchers having at least two (2) years of recent experience in a primary Public Safety Answering Point, (PSAP) answering 9-1-1 calls, having used Computer Aided Dispatch system (CAD), and having experience dispatching law enforcement personnel using a multi-channel radio system. The expectation is that the Lateral candidate will complete a training program teaching the use of agency specific computer systems, and policies & procedures in significantly less time than an entry level candidate. Lateral Dispatchers shall serve a 12-month probationary period.

The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.

  1. Receives, classifies, and prioritizes all incoming calls and texts to the dispatch center including 9-1-1 calls, emergency, and non-emergency calls received from citizens and allied agencies requesting service or information; operates a variety of public safety communications equipment including 9-1-1 emergency telephone equipment, computer aided dispatch systems, and multi-channel radio system.
  2. Evaluates response necessary as dictated by a given request for service; determines nature, location, and priority of calls; operates computer aided dispatch system to create calls for service within response criteria guidelines; assigns and dispatches personnel in accordance with policies and procedures; transfers calls to other appropriate agency in accordance with established procedures; obtains and dispatches other support services as necessary.
  3. Maintains contact with all units on assignment; maintains status and location of field units; monitors multiple radio frequencies; relays emergency and non-emergency information to public safety personnel in the field.
  4. Retrieves and interprets information from local, state, and national computer networks regarding wanted persons, stolen property, vehicle registration, stolen vehicles, restraining orders, criminal histories, parolees, and other related information; relays information to officers in the field.
  5. Operates computer terminals to enter, modify, and retrieve data such as stolen and recovered property, towed and stolen vehicles, missing and unidentified persons, citations, driver license and vehicle registration information, and warrants on wanted persons; composes and transmits messages to other agencies.
  6. Enters and removes data and information from various local, statewide, and national law enforcement computer systems including the Records Management System (RMS), Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS), and National Crime Information Center (NCIC); provides support to officers by gathering information from various computer systems including DMV, CLETS, and the County's KPF system.
  7. Monitors public security cameras and alarms for City facilities, parking lots, and related facilities.
  8. Performs related duties as required.

Education and Experience Guidelines - The education and experience criteria below are required for this classification:

Education/Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.

Experience: Two (2) years of employment as a public safety dispatcher in a primary Public Safety Answering Point, (PSAP). Must be currently working as a dispatcher or have worked within 12 months immediately preceding the date of application filed with the City of Elk Grove.

License or Certificate:
Must obtain a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Public Safety Dispatchers' Basic certificate within 12 months of hire.

Other Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Incumbent will need to pass a background investigation which may include a polygraph, psychological and medical evaluation
  • Lateral Dispatchers must serve a 12-month probationary period.
