The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for contributing to the performance of our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance to ISO standards/corporate policies and creating a culture of quality across the business. The QA Analyst is responsible for support functions related to the quality systems team, clerical and administrative support, data entry and other supporting functions to ensure maintenance of policies and procedures according to applicable regulatory requirements. The individual will be required to interpret customer purchase orders for quality obligations and will need to negotiate terms of those requirements. This position may also support or participate in the preparation and implementation of QA policies and procedures, perform and manage internal audits, assist or lead customer audits and regulatory inspections, resolve process flow issues, and ensure standards and safety regulations are observed. The QA Analyst must have excellent communication skills to document and perform QA activities, such as writing clarification letters, creating internal audit reports, managing root cause investigations of audit findings, preparing Corrective and Preventive Action reports (CAPA), communicating directly with customers, creating and administering internal training materials and collaborating among cross functional departments. The QA Analyst is an integral member of the site-based leadership team and will actively represent Quality at different facilities. The focus of the position is to develop, perform, manage and continuously improve quality assurance related activities in compliance with ISO and other related standards/guidance.

This position reports into the Sr. Supervisor, Quality Systems and will be onsite at our Carpinteria, CA location.

What we're looking for:

  • Education: High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree in science (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental, etc.) preferred or demonstrable evidence of job-related professional experience and/or strong internal knowledge of Avantor.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of quality and/or contract management
  • Experienced or certified internal auditor for ISO9001 and AS 9100 or related standards/guidance/regulations (ex. GxP, IPEC, etc.) preferred.

Job Requirements:

  • As an employee of Abilities, Inc. you may be asked to rotate to different facilities and program supervisors. You will be expected to be flexible with these changes as you are an employee of Abilities, Inc. and are not hired for any specific home.
  • Supervise residents within all specifications set forth in their Individual Service Plans (ISP), Behavioral Support Plan (BSP), and Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP).   • Provide Personal Care Services as outlined in the residents Individual Service Plan (ISP). This may include lifting and transferring residents that would require your ability to use gait belts, adaptive equipment, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Please read and follow Abilities, Inc.   • Plan and participate in community and in-facility activities. An activity calendar will be posted in the facility at all times.

  • Attend all scheduled shifts and staff meetings. You will be expected to follow Abilities, Inc. Attendance policy (704) and take responsibility for your shifts.

About the Compensation:

The base salary range for this role is determined based on several factors. These include but are not limited to job accountabilities; skill sets; experience and training; certifications; work location; competitive market rates and other business needs. At Galderma, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a unique combination of factors for each role. A reasonable estimate of the hiring range for this role is $170K-$210K (Boston, MA).

Duties and Responsibilities

The position requires knowledge of analytical techniques related to the analyses of nutrients, metals and/or organics in environmental samples, using highly technical instrumentation that includes Ion Coupled Plasma Spectrometer (ICPMS), Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GCMS) and a Segmented Flow Analyzer depending on the assigned area. It also requires knowledge of wet chemistry techniques for the analyses of total suspended solids and turbidity. Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements:

  • Scientific degree (ideally in Biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology or related).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years working experience and 2 years managing laboratory analysts in an FDA-regulated biotechnology, pharmaceutical company with progressive levels of responsibility are required.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Biochemistry analytical methods such as Potency assays, Binding ELISA, Cell Culture, Residual Host Cell Protein(HCP), Residual DNA as well as instruments such Incubators, Biosafety Cabinets, Plate Washers, and Microplate Readers, etc.
  • Knowledgeable with USP/EP and cGMP/EU GMP regulations.
  • Direct experience in a GMP quality control lab is a must.
  • Familiar with instrument and equipment validation.
  • Expert knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and standards for the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Impressive, demonstrable track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position(s), at a similar level.

What You'll Do

Testing & Validation

  • Perform RF testing on newly built RF test equipment per established procedures and standards
  • Evaluate performance of RF systems, subsystems, and components against design specifications
  • Test and validate RF circuits, assemblies, and interfaces across defined frequency ranges and power levels

Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose complex RF performance issues, hardware malfunctions, and system errors
  • Analyze test data to identify root causes of performance discrepancies

Process & Documentation

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 5+ years in RF testing, electronic troubleshooting, or test equipment environments
  • Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and power meters
  • Solid understanding of RF measurement concepts: VSWR, gain, phase noise, PIM, and noise figure
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills; comfortable working independently

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with RF communication technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, cellular)
  • Experience with LabVIEW or TestStand
