Who We're Looking For:

  • Experienced: 3+ years in a mechanical engineering role; familiar with agricultural or off-road equipment; understanding of electrical wiring, hydraulics, welded structured design, mechanical systems, and able to read and create schematics; welding experience preferred; Associate's degree in engineering technology with equivalent experience or a Bachelor's in degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering field preferred.
  • Tech Savvy: 3+ years of experience in SolidWorks or similar software in 2-D and 3-D drawings, and manufacturing documentation tools; experience with sheet metal design is strongly preferred.

RTI International is seeking self-motivated and outgoing individuals to work on an important and long-standing government-sponsored study, the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG), as Part-Time Field Interviewers.

The National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG), conducted by the federal government since 1973, is a national survey of women and men, 15-49 years of age, designed to provide national estimates of factors affecting pregnancy and birth rates, and general reproductive health. The topics covered in the NSFG are sensitive but extremely important for understanding women's and men's health and well-being in the United States.

The NSFG interview covers sexual activity, contraceptive use, pregnancy history (including pregnancy loss), infertility, relationship experience, (including marriages and cohabitation), use of medical services (including family planning, infertility services, and preventative health care), and experience with adoption and foster care. For more information on the NSFG research project and requirements, please see: Interviewers will make face-to-face visits to selected households to screen for eligible respondents and conduct in-person NSFG interviews. Given the survey description above, these interviews require asking sensitive questions to selected respondents in a private setting using a project-provided tablet.

We seek a diligent, dedicated and meticulous Payroll Manager who will help to further our success and reputation in the industry through world-class service.

Specifically:

  • Oversee and manage payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the payroll staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, document, and implement policies and procedures for payroll operations.
  • Administer and maintain payroll systems, ensure data integrity, and lead implementation of system upgrades and enhancements as required.
  • Ensure department procedures and systems maintain confidentiality and protection of payroll information (payrates, personal information, etc.) per company policy and data privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to gather and validate payroll information, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes.
  • Assist with internal & external audits, ensuring adherence to deadlines and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, tax laws, and industry trends, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required.
  • Payroll accreditation (Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)) is preferred.
  • 5–7+ years of progressive experience processing payroll in a high volume, multi-state/international environment to include at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, and payroll systems (Workday preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, judgment, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, along with excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Foundations Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Foundations Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil foundation projects, including drilled shafts, micropiles, H-piles, and sheeting/tiebacks. This role is responsible for managing field crews, enforcing safety, maintaining quality, and delivering work on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise all field crews and forepersons.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, QA/QC, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to maintain productivity.
  • Track subcontractor progress, budgets, and schedules.
  • Analyze drawings, plans, and survey data; assist with major pick plans and work plans.
  • Produce weekly safety reports and maintain project documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • ~10+ years of heavy civil experience, including deep foundations.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency, valid driver's license.
  • Preferred: OSHA 10, marine work, and expertise in micropiles, H-piles, sheet piling, cofferdams, tiebacks, fabrication, and deep shaft work.
