Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Thermal Systems Engineer)
Location: Mossville, IL (onsite)
Duration: 12 months contract with possibility to extend
Pay range: $44/hr to $49/hr on W2 (all inclusive)
Position Summary:
The Senior Thermal Systems Engineer will lead the design, analysis, and development of thermal systems for battery modules. This includes performing CAE, maturing current designs, developing new concepts, and supporting technology advancement to ensure robust, efficient thermal performance.
Key Responsibilities
Thermal System & Product Design
- Lead the design and development of battery module thermal systems and associated components.
- Conduct CAE simulations using tools such as FlowEFD, Ansys, or Star‑CCM+.
- Mature ongoing thermal system designs to drawing release and final production.
- Develop new thermal concepts and drive continuous improvements across the product lifecycle.
Project Ownership
- Take extreme ownership of assigned components—from initial concept through design, manufacturing, validation, and production release.
- Ensure high‑quality, reliable designs that meet performance and safety requirements.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner daily with the battery module and battery system engineering teams.
- Support new technology development initiatives and integration efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline
- (Master’s degree acceptable with 6+ years relevant experience)
- 8+ years of industry experience in mechanical or thermal system design
Strong background in:
- Battery module/pack thermal design
- Thermal system integration
- CAE tools: FlowEFD, Ansys, Star‑CCM+
- No two‑year degrees accepted

Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, and capacity constraints
- Coordinate daily production planning activities with operations, ensuring labor, equipment, and materials are properly allocated
- Monitor work‑in‑process and finished goods levels to ensure on‑time order completion
- Communicate schedule changes or risks to operations, customer service, and leadership
Material Planning & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate material requirements planning (MRP) within the ERP system
- Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained to meet production schedules while minimizing excess or obsolete stock
- Conduct root‑cause analysis on shortages, delays, or inventory inaccuracies and implement corrective actions
- Track safety stock levels and update planning parameters as needed
Purchasing & Supplier Management
- Source, select, and purchase raw materials, components, and indirect supplies in alignment with production needs
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance.
- Track and publish critical supply chain metrics, including customer and supplier on-time delivery.
- Follow up on open purchase orders, expedite materials when needed, and resolve delivery or quality issues
- Maintain accurate vendor records and purchasing data in the ERP system
Capacity & Resource Planning
- Analyze production capacity, equipment constraints, and labor availability to ensure feasible schedules
- Recommend adjustments to staffing levels, shift schedules, or outsourcing when required to meet demand
- Partner with engineering on new products, engineering changes, and phase-outs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with procurement, operations, engineering, customer service, and quality to maintain smooth production flow
- Communicate proactively regarding material constraints, schedule risks, and priority changes
- Support S&OP processes by providing data on capacity, demand, inventory, and supplier performance
Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives to enhance material flow and scheduling accuracy
- Improve planning tools, part parameters, and forecasting methods
- Participate in cost-reduction efforts through sourcing, inventory optimization, and process efficiencies
Minimum Required Skills and Education
- High School Diploma required
- 3 years of experience in production planning, materials management, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Excel and planning tools
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory control principles
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
Preferred Skills and Education
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or related field

POSITION SUMMARY
Recommend, procure, and oversee the maintenance and installation of rotating equipment systems and parts which will provide the highest reliability, operability, and efficiency for plant service in a cost effective manner. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate technical degree or equivalent experience in rotating equipment designs and system designs is highly desirable
- Advanced equipment training, applicable college training, broad-based exposure to machines, and additional years of experience are desirable
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years’ successful work experience with strong skills as either machinist or millwright required
- 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory role (or equivalent) preferred
- Must have a thorough knowledge of rotating equipment applications, designs and systems.
- Must have broad knowledge of and experience with the maintenance of motors, pumps, turbines, fans, and compressors
- Experience in vibration analysis
- Intermediate computer proficiency required, including Word and Excel
- Demonstrated competency of analytical problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Experience with computerized maintenance systems, such as Maximo, preferred
- Working knowledge of GEMS standards for chemical processing equipment and related codes and standards preferred
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints required
- Fluent in English, both oral and written required
- Ability to coordinate and interact with various levels of management and departments
- Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs
- Vibration Analyst Category II Certification (preferred)
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Troubleshoot and analyze problems and system failures and recommend ways of making improvements

- Select the optimum equipment and system designs related to rotating equipment options
- Coordinate and oversee equipment remanufacturing and installation

- Assist in the daily planning, coordination and resolution of “emergency work orders” received and assigned to machinist
- Assist in development of training for technicians to enable current proficiency in all machinist activities

- Provide technical assistance to Maintenance Mechanics
- Maintain proper documentation of all field changes and support the refinery MOC process

- Participate in the budgeting process and identify items to be submitted for funding
- Perform QA/QC for new projects and maintenance work
- Manage the plant’s vibration database and online condition monitoring systems.

About the Role
The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure efficient workflow, on-time delivery, and accurate ERP system data. Works closely with Operations, Purchasing, and Shipping to support daily manufacturing needs.
Responsibilities
- ERP Management (Epicor):
- Maintain and update production schedules within Epicor.
- Create and release work orders/jobs and ensure all required data is accurate.
- Monitor job statuses and perform job closings in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate BOM/routing changes when identified thru Engineering.
Production Scheduling:
- Schedule primary machines and key resources to optimize throughput and minimize downtime.
- Adjust schedules based on priority changes, machine availability, material constraints, and customer needs.
- Communicate daily schedule priorities with Production Supervisors.
Material Coordination:
- Release raw material to jobs and ensure correct inventory transactions.
- Prevent shortages and ensure timely material availability.
Workflow & Coordination:
- Track WIP levels and move jobs through departments as required.
- Support continuous improvement to reduce bottlenecks and improve lead times.
- Maintain strong communication with Manufacturing, Quality, and Shipping teams.
- Reporting & Accuracy:
- Analyze and resolve Epicor transaction errors, quantity discrepancies, and job variances.
- Generate daily/weekly production reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience preferred.

RTI International is seeking self-motivated and outgoing individuals to work on an important and long-standing government-sponsored study, the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG), as Part-Time Field Interviewers.
The National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG), conducted by the federal government since 1973, is a national survey of women and men, 15-49 years of age, designed to provide national estimates of factors affecting pregnancy and birth rates, and general reproductive health. The topics covered in the NSFG are sensitive but extremely important for understanding women’s and men’s health and well-being in the United States.
The NSFG interview covers sexual activity, contraceptive use, pregnancy history (including pregnancy loss), infertility, relationship experience, (including marriages and cohabitation), use of medical services (including family planning, infertility services, and preventative health care), and experience with adoption and foster care. For more information on the NSFG research project and requirements, please see: Interviewers will make face-to-face visits to selected households to screen for eligible respondents and conduct in-person NSFG interviews. Given the survey description above, these interviews require asking sensitive questions to selected respondents in a private setting using a project-provided tablet.

The Applications Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, process development, and customer support related to industrial machinery. This role bridges engineering, sales, and service by demonstrating machine capabilities, optimizing cutting parameters, and ensuring customers achieve maximum value from their laser systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize laser cutting parameters for various metals and material thickness.
- Conduct machine demonstrations, trials, and proof of concept test for prospective customers.
- Troubleshoot cutting quality and process issues.
- Provide on-site and remote training to customers on machine operation, maintenance, and process optimization.
- Develop and document cutting process databases, application notes, and best practice guides.

Position Requirements:

The CM-CA will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to the administration of construction, design/build, engineering, and facilities management for complex-construction projects. Services will include, but not limited to, pre-design phase services, design phase services, procurement phase services, construction services, claims services, administration services, and technical specialty services.

Required Skills and Responsibilities
- Must be a U.S. citizen (due to clearance process)
- Must be eligible and able to pass a federal background check, as well as complete the necessary processes to receive a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) badge.
- Must provide a minimum of three (3) projects of the scale and difficulty of this project and scope of work in which he/she held a similar position.
- A degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or evidence of work experience or knowledge to compensate for absence of higher education. A minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience may be substituted and will be reviewed for acceptability.
- Responsible for the construction analysis, development, design of and the preparation of complete plans and specifications for new work and improvements.
- Provides administrative oversight and evaluation concerning all construction disciplines as they pertain to all project work.
- Independently responsible and accountable for determining the administrative actions necessary in the development and completion of design projects, and review of the final contract documents.
- Determines how project(s) will impact medical center based on results of a risk assessment that could have a severe impact on patient care.
- Responsible for the overall management of construction documentation.
Professional Qualifications
- Must possess a working knowledge of construction practices and call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project including Quality Assurance; Safety, Time, Cost, Change and Information Management.
- Must be familiar with the site operations of a General and Sub-contractor and the process of managing a building construction operation.
- Must have working experience in monitoring the construction for Quality Assurance.
- Must have experience in preparing, analyzing and identifying incongruities and deficiencies in the contractors’ work in relationship with the construction documents.
- Must understand the baseline schedule and assist in determining the value of the acceptable work in place.
- Work experience and completed projects shall be identified in the credentials of the individual to show competency to undertake a rigorous program in construction in all identified task order scope of work required solicitation.
- Must possess Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products and compile data and records by applying both knowledge of the construction industry.

JOB TITLE:
Corporate Environment Health Safety Specialist
JOB SUMMARY:
This individual will have responsibility for the development, implementation, standardization, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple manufacturing locations in the United States and Canada. This role ensures regulatory compliance, supports enterprise-wide risk reduction initiatives, and drives continuous improvement of corporate EHS performance through governance, auditing, analytics, and cross-site collaboration. Maintaining compliance with environmental and safety regulations is also a key responsibility.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Development/Implementation of safety programs for all manufacturing locations
- Maintaining environmental compliance at all locations (waste disposal, air permitting, stormwater, reporting)
- Field work (waste disposal work as required)
- Travel of 40-50% is required
- Haz-Mat DOT compliance
- Provide EHS review and support for capital projects, facility expansions, process changes, and new facility start-ups
- Support due diligence activities associated with acquisitions, divestitures, and facility integrations
- Serve as a corporate liaison with regulatory agencies (EPA, OSHA, state, provincial, and local agencies) as required
- Develop and maintain corporate EHS performance metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting (e.g., TRIR, DART, environmental metrics)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend conferences/training events as required (RCRA, DOT, HAZMAT training, etc.)
- Work with the project team on potential acquisitions/manufacturing changes
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Provide actionable information to ownership with solutions
- Ability to work with manufacturing locations to successfully implement initiatives as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related technical field required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible EHS experience in manufacturing environments, including multi-site or corporate-level responsibilities preferred
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) Required
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Required
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred

The Opportunity
- The Assistant Project Manager will support senior project leadership in the planning and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
