Research Scientist – Pulp & Paper Enzymes

We are seeking a Research Scientist to help lead experimental and applied research supporting enzyme applications in the pulp and paper industry. This role will focus on designing and executing lab experiments, supporting customer projects, and helping advance new enzyme-based solutions for mill operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute laboratory experiments to support technical projects and customer needs

• Provide benchtop proof-of-concept work and technical support for field applications

• Oversee project timelines and guide Research Associates to ensure accurate completion of experiments

• Write technical reports summarizing results for both technical and non-technical audiences

• Develop and refine experimental methods and laboratory procedures

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent working skills

The Technical Architect is accountable for defining and governing the end-to-end technical architecture for the project. The role ensures a scalable, secure, API driven, and cloud native solution aligned with client's workflows, enterprise integration standards, and AWS cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Define and validate the overall solution architecture across Java services, APIs, workflow orchestration, and rules based decisioning.

3 East – Acute Care Medicine- A 28 bed unit created to help facilitate throughput for the UNC REX Emergency Department.

Our patients are admitted with a wide variety of medical diagnoses including but not limited to TIA, falls, syncope, nausea and vomiting, cellulitis, anemia and flu.

Patients admitted to 3 East should be medically stable for discharge within 24 to 72 hours from admission.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: ● RCIS, RRT, RDCS or ARRT required.

ACLS Professional Experience Requirements: ● At least one year experience in invasive procedures or 2 years relevant healthcare experience.
*Note: Current teammates hired before Dec 9, 2022 are not required to hold RCIS, RRT, or RDCS certification ● Teammates who received their RCIS certification prior to January 1, 2017 may quality with five (5) years of experience in lieu of their Associate's degree.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: ● Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
