Clinical Expectations
The OB/GYN will provide:
- Full OB call coverage
- Management of emergent obstetric presentations
- Operative obstetrics including C-sections
- GYN procedures including D&C
- Collaboration with nursing, anesthesia, and ED staff
- Independent decision-making in a community acute care setting
This is a hands-on role requiring comfort with operative delivery and emergent OB management.
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN
- Active and unrestricted Missouri medical license (or ability to mobilize quickly)
- Demonstrated proficiency in C-sections and D&C
- Clean professional file required
- Comfortable with in-house 24-hour call model

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Active California Medical License (or ability to obtain)
Minimum 3 years recent OB/GYN clinical experience
ACLS, BLS, and NRP Certifications Required
Proficient in full-scope OB/GYN hospitalist duties

We are seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in West Virginia, starting Feb 2, 2026. This role offers multiple 12-hour shifts across day and night rotations, Wednesday through Tuesday. Physicians will provide comprehensive emergency care in a dynamic department setting, supporting patient stabilization and transfer as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide evaluation, emergent treatment, and management for life- and limb-threatening conditions, resuscitation, stabilization, triage, diagnosis, and disposition
- Deliver initial and emergent care for minor wound care, respiratory, gastrointestinal, burns, musculoskeletal trauma, dermatological, ENT, eye, and urological issues
- Perform minor procedures such as local infiltration anesthesia, incision and drainage, simple laceration repair, nail trephination, electro-coagulation, nasal cautery, gastric lavage, bladder catheterization, peripheral venous line insertion, and spinal immobilization
- Manage abdominal, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, hematopoietic, endocrine, metabolic, nutritional, head/neck, musculoskeletal, nervous system, psychiatric, respiratory, renal/urologic, and OB/GYN emergencies
- Conduct major procedures in the emergency department, including central venous and arterial catheter placement, chest tube or needle thoracostomy, peritoneal lavage, defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, proctoscopy/anoscopy, pericardiocentesis, fracture and dislocation reduction, arthrocentesis, regional anesthesia, procedural sedation, temporary pacemaker placement, and cricothyroidotomy
- Suture minor lacerations
- Stabilize and transfer patients requiring a higher level of care
Additional Information
- Must be board certified in Emergency Medicine
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Must provide 2 years of case logs for intubation and central lines
- Start date is dependent on credentialing timeframe
