The Product Management Team for the Deck & Accessories category has responsibility for the overall lifecycle, sales and financial performance of these products. These include the full line of Deck, Porch, Accessories and Adjacencies (e.g. decking substructure).


Position Summary:


Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Management for the Deck & Accessories, this role will have direct responsibility for all of our fastener products within the decking product category as well as certain fasteners for the Exteriors category (e.g. AZEK Trim). These products include primarily mechanical fasteners (screws, clamps/clips, etc.) made of metal or plastic composites, as well as the tools or systems used for installing these fasteners.


The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the creation of a product roadmap, market/competitive research and analysis, new product development and testing, technical support, supplier management (co-owned with our Sourcing Team), pricing/profitability analysis and product rationalization. The Product Manager is ultimately the subject matter expert for their category and responsible for the financial results of the product line and must ensure that the product line is meeting the goals of the company. The Product Management team members are also advocates for our customers and continually find ways to add value to all stakeholders responsible for the manufacturing, marketing, distribution, sales and installation of the product.


AZEK does not directly manufacture any of the fasteners that we sell today. However, we do play a direct, leading role in the product development process from concept, product definition, design/engineering, development and testing. Therefore, this position works primarily with key supplier-partners, outside engineering/design resources and AZEK’s Legal (IP), Sourcing and R&D/Applications organizations to drive the development and testing of these products. The Product Manager also works cross-functionally to successfully launch new products to the market and manages the complete life-cycle of existing products.


The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping to drive sales growth and gross margin improvement of our products. This candidate should be highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, focus on the technical and other details and drive cross-functional execution for the category while also understanding and engaging at the strategic level as well. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Work with the Product Management, Sales, Sourcing and overall business leadership teams to develop a successful product and business strategy for the assigned products, including a multi-generational product roadmap.
  • Lead the execution of that strategy for the Fasteners product category. This includes engaging cross-functionally across all aspects of product development and on-going product management (product development, manufacturing, logistics, quality, code compliance, applications testing, marketing, sales, customer service, demand forecasting, reporting and analysis, margin improvement, pricing and promotions, including event support).
  • Engage with and effectively lead/manage outside engineering, product design, development, testing and other technical service providers and suppliers as applicable. Conduct regular business and project reviews with suppliers.
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc analysis of product line performance (sales trends, regional and geographic customer analysis, revenue, margin and other basic financial and performance metrics). Conduct monthly business reviews using that information and analysis combined with on-going market and competitive analysis.
  • Become the subject matter expert within the product category for the business and provide input and support to the Sourcing, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and SIOP/Supply Chain teams.
  • Conduct regular product data audits/maintenance, product costing and pricing support.
  • Help to develop (and occasionally deliver) training programs to be used to educate the sales team, distributors, dealers and contractors on the features, benefits and applications of our products.
  • Partner with the Product Marketing team to update all sales, marketing and technical collateral including product literature, sample materials, displays, sales presentations and collateral, product databases, installation guides and installation videos, technical data sheets and AIA presentations.
  • Work with our Technical Services and Installation/Applications teams to develop and conduct product qualification testing, installation and other field tests and of new and existing products.
  • Identify and evaluate new and emerging fastener technologies to determine potential product, strategic and business fit.


Position Qualifications:

Compensation for roles at James Hardie varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The Purchasing Specialist manages the ordering process and is responsible for ensuring timely orders and deliveries of materials and services to ensure that operational requirements are met. The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for building vendor relationships to secure the best value for the company.



Responsibilities


  • Review and analyze purchase order requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Place purchase orders for materials, equipment, services, and supplies to ensure conformance with purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Select vendors and research products to insure practicality, cost effectiveness, and supply availability.
  • Use judgment to consolidate orders to improve freight costs.
  • Evaluate requisition and purchase order process, propose process improvements.
  • Follow up with vendors, monitor due dates for performance, and track performance over time.
  • Implement cost control and cost reduction improvements.
  • Prepare, issue, and track pricing requests and requests for proposal (RFP).
  • Investigate and develop sources of supply and resolve vendor-related issues.
  • Work with Quality Engineer to maintain appropriate vendor quality documents and reports.
  • Advise operating departments of potential problems meeting quality and delivery dates.
  • Coordinate functionality and roles across business units to optimize performance of entire organization.
  • Perform backup support to customer service, accounts payable, and/or accounts receivable.
  • Initiate suggested changes and improvements to the quality policy and procedure manuals through immediate supervisor.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure customer satisfaction through timely and accurate delivery of product.
  • Perform all assignments in a safe and cautious manner.
  • Engage in interdepartmental problem solving, including instruction and assistance when requested or appropriate for the efficient operation of LabChem.
  • Participate and cooperate in all training efforts as requested by employer.
  • Accept and perform satisfactorily all reasonable assignments as requested.


Qualifications


  • High school diploma required, but Associates Degree (two years) preferred.
  • Some science courses, particularly an introductory chemistry course, a plus.
  • One year experience preferred, with experience at a scientific, engineering or industrial manufacturer a plus.

Summary of the Role

Responsible for leading the company’s North American supply chain management organization, including purchasing, inventory management and logistics.


Responsibilities

  • Lead global sourcing and import strategy, including freight optimization, tariff management, supplier performance monitoring, and risk mitigation

THE OPPORTUNITY


As the Sr. Manager, Outbound Logistics you will be an integral leader in the strategy development and execution of final mile distribution processes. This position is responsible for executional processes within the distribution centers’ warehouse, final mile delivery performance, and total cost management. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capability, operational excellence, and the ability to collaborate and manage partners through evolving business needs while empowering and developing their team.


LOCATION


This position will be based in our Newport Beach, CA office 4 days per week (with work from home on Friday). Remote work is not available for this role.


WHAT YOU’LL DO


• Serve as the escalation point for Regional Logistics Leaders and facilitate the resolution of complex issues and network‑wide adjustments to standard work, including development and execution of business continuity plans.

• Partner with corporate and field restaurant operations to ensure Logistics Leaders gather the voice of the customer and drive continuous improvement in ordering, receiving, and delivery performance.

• Standardize and refine network processes, identifying risks, assigning stakeholders, and ensuring accountability through communication and training partnering with cross-functional partners and the Communications team.

• Monitor controllable and non‑controllable cost drivers and partner with Regional Logistics Leaders to standardize efficiencies and reduce cost variability.

• Lead the Outbound Logistics function, driving technology needs, process improvements, margin enhancement, and business‑case development.

• Collaborate cross‑functionally on LTOs, new menu items, equipment tests, and operational initiatives, resolving logistics issues and guiding communication with distributors.

• Partner with the Inbound Logistics Manager to assess quarterly DC capacity needs and maintain a long‑term DC roadmap.

• Work closely with FSQA to distribute food safety policies and updates, verifying compliance across distribution partners.

• Lead annual budgeting and negotiation strategy with the Sr. Director, Logistics for the distribution network and develop a high‑performing Outbound Logistics team through coaching and clear direction.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university preferred; and/or equivalent experience considered.
  • MBA or Six Sigma Belt certification preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations and 3PL or Warehouse Experience required.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • WMS, Oracle, Continuous Improvement, Contract Negotiation, Pricing Models, food safety compliance and foodservice/temp control experience preferred.
  • Leverage and standardize WMS across operators, building relationships and enforcing requirements.
  • Leverage critical thinking and strong analytical skills to execute solutions, communication and training.
  • Possess extraordinary organization skills and ability to prioritize projects and complex issues in a fast-moving environment.
  • This position will include national coverage with anticipated domestic travel on a quarterly basis.


PAY TRANSPARENCY


A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $150,000.00–$222,000.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
