Execute all kitchen operations, ensuring all prepared foods meet restaurant safety and health standards. Cooks, assembles and wraps good items, stocks all needed products and preparation materials in a clean and safe manner. Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate clearly, quickly and politely with co-workers to ensure correct order is served to the customers.
- Quickly and accurately prepares food products following restaurant, health and safety standards and procedures quickly and accurately.

Occasional need to be out of building (i.e., parking lot, freezer, trash container areas, etc.) for parking lot pick-up, trash removal and other maintenance and cleaning activities.
- Informs immediate supervisor promptly of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

THE OPPORTUNITY

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Performs tactical/strategic functions related to daily procurement.
- Build/maintain excellent relationship with vendors, ensure they abide by CMG policies and fulfill deliveries, and help negotiate with suppliers for favorable pricing and quality.
- Support culinary/marketing on any new protein options to help meet CMG standards and cost/availability requirements, especially LTO project work.

THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Sr. Manager, Outbound Logistics you will be an integral leader in the strategy development and execution of final mile distribution processes. This position is responsible for executional processes within the distribution centers’ warehouse, final mile delivery performance, and total cost management. WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Serve as the escalation point for Regional Logistics Leaders and facilitate the resolution of complex issues and network‑wide adjustments to standard work, including development and execution of business continuity plans.
• Partner with corporate and field restaurant operations to ensure Logistics Leaders gather the voice of the customer and drive continuous improvement in ordering, receiving, and delivery performance.
• Standardize and refine network processes, identifying risks, assigning stakeholders, and ensuring accountability through communication and training partnering with cross-functional partners and the Communications team.
• Monitor controllable and non‑controllable cost drivers and partner with Regional Logistics Leaders to standardize efficiencies and reduce cost variability.
• Lead the Outbound Logistics function, driving technology needs, process improvements, margin enhancement, and business‑case development.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally on LTOs, new menu items, equipment tests, and operational initiatives, resolving logistics issues and guiding communication with distributors.
• Partner with the Inbound Logistics Manager to assess quarterly DC capacity needs and maintain a long‑term DC roadmap.
• Work closely with FSQA to distribute food safety policies and updates, verifying compliance across distribution partners.
• Lead annual budgeting and negotiation strategy with the Sr. Director, Logistics for the distribution network and develop a high‑performing Outbound Logistics team through coaching and clear direction.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university preferred; and/or equivalent experience considered.
- MBA or Six Sigma Belt certification preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations and 3PL or Warehouse Experience required.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- WMS, Oracle, Continuous Improvement, Contract Negotiation, Pricing Models, food safety compliance and foodservice/temp control experience preferred.
- Leverage and standardize WMS across operators, building relationships and enforcing requirements.
- Leverage critical thinking and strong analytical skills to execute solutions, communication and training.
- Possess extraordinary organization skills and ability to prioritize projects and complex issues in a fast-moving environment.
- This position will include national coverage with anticipated domestic travel on a quarterly basis.

Rainier BaseCamp is a locally owned seasonal destination serving climbers, hikers, park visitors, and area residents. The BaseCamp property includes Rainier BaseCamp Bar & Grill, RMI Expeditions, and Whittaker Mountaineering. Throughout the summer, we host live music every weekend in an outdoor, park-like setting that draws both locals and visitors.
Compensation
Seasonal Salary: $34,000 - $47,000 for the season (April-October), depending on experience.
Equivalent to approximately $26-$36 per hour , or $62,000 - $86,000 annualized , based on a full-time equivalent.
Position Overview
This is a hands-on, on-site restaurant management role focused on daily execution, staff leadership, food quality, inventory ordering/cost optimization, and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily FOH and BOH restaurant operations
* Supervise, train, and support a seasonal staff of 5-17 employees
* Create and manage employee schedules at least two weeks in advance
* Lead shifts and assist as needed in all areas of service
* Maintain standards for food quality, cleanliness, safety, and customer service
* Manage food and beverage ordering, inventory, and cost controls
* Oversee POS systems, cash handling, and register reconciliation
* Ensure compliance with health department regulations and labor laws
* Lead health department inspections and maintain inspection readiness
* Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently
* Communicate operational needs and recommendations to Ownership
* Support seasonal opening and end-of-season close
Qualifications
* 4+ years of restaurant management or food service leadership experience
* Experience in high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environments
* Strong leadership, scheduling, and staff development skills
* POS system experience; Google Docs and Excel preferred
* Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Ashford
* Knowledge of health, safety, and labor regulations
* Food Handler's Permit and MAST Alcohol Certification (or ability to obtain)
* ServSafe Manager certification preferred
* Must pass a background check
