About the Role:
Kallmeyer is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Product Development Coordinator to join our team. This role supports the Design and Development team across the execution of four seasonal collections, reorders, and special projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of garment construction, materials, and development workflow within a luxury fashion environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the product development process, from initial design concept to final product.
- Serve as a primary point of contact with overseas and domestic factories, ensuring clear communication of design intent, raw materials, construction details, and timelines.
- Launch and support sample making with factories, from prototype stage through pre-production samples.
- Prepare and distribute tech packs, BOMs, raw materials, and cut tickets to factories and internal teams.

Qualifications:

The Role
We’re hiring a Product Development Manager to own our product development pipeline across a diverse and growing portfolio of clients in music, entertainment, and apparel. You’ll lead the full product lifecycle, from concept and sampling through production and delivery, while managing relationships with factories, vendors, and internal teams.
You’ll own the production workflow end to end and make sure every product ships on time and on spec. A big part of this role is building a production operation that can move at the speed of culture. When a moment hits, we need product ready fast, and you’ll be the person making sure we can do that. You’ll also be the connective tissue between account management, fulfillment, and our clients, translating creative vision into production reality.

What You’ll Do
Product Development & Lifecycle
- Own the end-to-end product development pipeline: concept, design coordination, tech packs, sampling, approvals, production, and delivery across all client accounts.
- Manage sample tracking and approval workflows including strike-offs, lab dips, and pre-production samples on tight turnarounds.
- Maintain and refine product development calendars, aligning internal milestones with client launch dates, tour schedules, and seasonal drops.
- Collaborate with account managers and clients on product assortment planning, translating creative direction into production-ready specs.
Vendor & Factory Management
- Source, evaluate, and manage domestic and international vendors for cut-and-sew, blanks, accessories, and specialty items.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and MOQs; maintain a vendor master list with current capabilities, pricing, and performance history.
- Conduct quality control on incoming samples and finished goods, holding vendors accountable to El Famoso’s standards.
- Manage international production logistics including freight forwarding, customs, and delivery timelines.
Team
- Manage, mentor, and develop production team members, including hiring, onboarding, and performance.
- Establish and maintain department SOPs for order tracking, vendor communication, and internal system updates.
- Run weekly production meetings to review pipeline status, flag risks, and coordinate cross-functionally.
Systems & Process
- Manage the product development workflow in our PLM system alongside , keeping order status, timelines, art approvals, and vendor comms up to date across both platforms.
- Build and maintain documentation: vendor onboarding guides, product development playbooks, and department training materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through better vendor relationships, process automation, or smarter tooling. We’re an AI-forward shop and encourage creative use of tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with account managers to scope new product requests with realistic timelines and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with fulfillment and warehousing on inbound shipment scheduling, receiving expectations, and inventory handoffs.
- Support tour operations with merchandise production timelines, ensuring product is ready for on-the-road inventory needs.
What You Bring
Required
- 5+ years in product development, production management, or merchandise operations, ideally in apparel, music merch, or branded consumer goods.
- Proven track record managing vendor relationships across domestic and international factories.
- Experience managing or mentoring direct reports (production coordinators, assistants, or similar).
- Familiarity with the full apparel production cycle: tech packs, grading, sampling, bulk production, and quality assurance.
- Strong working knowledge of project management platforms ( preferred; Asana, Trello, or similar acceptable).
- Comfort with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar for workflow optimization.
- Direct, clear communicator who’s comfortable pushing back on unrealistic timelines while maintaining strong relationships.
- Experience with PLM platforms (Centric, Backbone, or similar) for managing product lifecycle workflows.

- Independently lead the full proposal process—from concept to delivery—for custom, high-impact programs, ensuring alignment with client goals, budget, and brand identity.

Job Summary
The Research Development Manager provides specialized support to faculty for the development of competitive research proposals. This position analyzes funding opportunities, organizes large interdisciplinary proposal teams, manages the proposal development process, and provides strategic guidance and practical assistance for the development of proposal content. The Research Development Manager also prepares teams for sponsor site visits and conducts funding-related programs and workshops.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - Identify and analyze funding opportunities that align with the institution's research priorities and strategic goals. Prepare funding opportunity briefs and presentations.
Job Duty 2 - Support faculty in the development of proposal content through development of custom writing templates, substantive editing, and guidance on effective communication including graphics. Arrange reviews of proposals by topical experts.

Job Duty 4 - Collaborate with various units to obtain necessary resources and information and to coordinate proposal submissions.

General Responsibilities:
- Know and understand FDB business and communicate that knowledge to potential customers

Manage contract negotiations:

Support existing programs:
- Stay aware of program status for existing clients in Territory
- Support the Program Management and execution team as required by management.
- Stay in regular contact with clients and maintain awareness of client pipeline and any potential follow up business; ensure that FDB is always considered for any new program from client portfolio
- Provide client with updates on new developments with FDB, such as new acquisitions or investment into capacity or technology, innovation programs, or participations in major industry events
Provide business leadership for proposal development:
- Lead clients business and technical conference calls and client visits; decide on call/visit participation and schedule calls and visits
- Lead business discussions with potential clients
- Oversee development of proposals and other responses to customers' inquiries (e.g. RFIs)
- Ensure that proposals fully address all clients' requests or questions, and are written clearly
- Write executive summary for proposal and deliver proposals to customers

- Develop conference/tradeshow attendance plan as part of Territory marketing plan.

General Duties

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Education:
- Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydrogeology, Chemistry, or a related field
- PhD in related field preferred
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in environmental fate and transport assessment, remediation, product stewardship, or related disciplines within a global organization.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects or programs.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of environmental fate, remediation frameworks, regulatory standards, and industry best practices related to restricted and emerging substances.
- Proven track record in risk assessment, compliance, incident response, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen to evaluate risks, identify opportunities, and drive systems change.
Other Requirements:
- Experience developing and delivering training programs and supporting governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Willingness to stay current on emerging environmental and regulatory issues and escalate critical matters as needed.
- Ability to monitor program performance, report on progress, and support governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to travel as business needs require (up to 30%).
