But we’re more than a resort. As a family-owned company, our Promise is simple: Lead with Love. This means caring deeply for our guests, associates, and communities—treating people like family, giving back generously, and creating spaces where everyone feels valued.

Through our partnership with charity: water, we’re also committed to bringing clean water to one million people in Africa.

Although some see meals as just something you do between waterslide runs or meetings, part of your Kalahari experience is world-class dining. At Kalahari, we take food pretty seriously. Every location features restaurants to satisfy every taste, from steakhouses to ice cream shops. You'll never have to eat in the same spot twice... but you just might want to.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll help create a memorable dining atmosphere through delicious food, warm hospitality, and timeless charm.

These positions are scheduled to begin in mid-September.

We’re taking our time to find the right fit — a visionary who leads with both creativity and humility. This process will include discovery calls, informal conversations, and in-person interviews as we approach launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional food quality, service, and cleanliness.
  • Lead, train, and develop associates to support engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with resort leadership to align the outlet’s vision with overall guest experience goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • We do require a background of general food and beverage knowledge, including at least four years of front-of-house operations and/or management positions in a hotel, resort, family owned-operation or large chain (such as Cheesecake Factory, Chick-fil-A, Olive Garden, Starbucks, Sweetgreen)
  • Experience in P&L management, budgeting, and controlling labor/food costs.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, scheduling software, inventory tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • In many outlets, experience managing a bar will be required.
  • History of managing operations of $3M or more annually.

Our team enjoys a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Career growth opportunities with promotion from within
  • 401(k) matching, paid time off, and holiday compensation
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage for full-time associates
