Job Description:

This McDonald's is owned and operated by 4 Gen Restaurants. As a maintenance person in our restaurant, you will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the store. Daily tasks include filtering the oil vats, organizing the stock room, as well as cleaning the stainless, walls, ceilings, bathrooms, and walk-in cooler. Normal maintenance shifts are from 5AM-1PM. They can very slightly depending on your needs, but generally they are morning shifts only. No prior training is necessary as long as you are willing to learn and have a strong work ethic.

We have been operating McDonald's Restaurants for over 60 years, spanning 4 generations. We pride ourselves on promoting from within and developing our employees.

Our Maintenance positions are split into three tiers.

Secondary Maintenance- Starting at $15.50

• This position is a part time maintenance person. They must do maintenance at least one day per week. The other days they can be in a crew position

Primary Maintenance- Starting at $18.00

• This is the main maintenance employee at the location. They must be full time maintenance, fully trained and certified by the General Manager

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

* Performs expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to location root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools.

* Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. Performs evaluations of alternatives to improve cost and / or reliability of equipment. Compiles alternative packages for purposes of retrofit, upgrade, or alternative functionality of equipment.

* Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards; creates maintenance standards and instructions for altered or new manufacturing equipment.

* Directs customer counterparts in maintenance optimization efforts, reliability, and preventative maintenance processes.

* May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks.

* Conforms and complies with customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety processes

* Documents work performed in service reports, applicable management systems, and written explanation regarding observation and collected equipment performance data. Compiles technical manuals, operations, and maintenance processes relevant to equipment upgrades and automation integrations.

* Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to project teams. Performs expert functions as a part of training and development.

* Alters, troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems to resolve in-depth software/ hardware and configuration problems.

* Utilizes advanced maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Observes trends and makes recommendations.

* Conducts on-the-job training and leads technical programs for technical development of customers and coworkers

* Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:

Essential KSAs:

* High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).

* Associates degree with a Technical focus and 12 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 15 years of experience in specific industry.

* Possesses comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs.

* Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools, and programming software as appropriate.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities/Daily Duties:

• Strong focus on troubleshooting PLCs, robotics, conveyor systems, pneumatics, and motor drive.
• Adhere to lockout and tag procedures, prioritizing safety at all times
• Perform machinery repairs using a variety of tools
• Clean and lubricate machinery parts as needed
• Perform adjustments, tightening, and repairs during production breaks and work stoppages whenever possible
• Proactively monitor your area for issues and take initiative in preparing for and executing repairs problems
• Provide improvement suggestions to the area supervisor and shift engineers
• Rebuild parts and pre-stage repetitive usage items in the maintenance area
• Maintain small repetitive usage tools and rigging equipment in the maintenance area

• Communicate emergency and planned work order data promptly to maintenance supervisor or shift lead technician
• Conduct informal shift changeovers and provide relief on machines as needed
• Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) exercises, closely collaborating and supporting production operations
• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical issues in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Install, assemble, and test machinery and equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks, inspections, and servicing on all equipment to ensure safe operations and to identify potential malfunctions in machines
• Perform repairs, replacements, and various mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding tasks associated with various maintenance tasks
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting, machine rebuilds, and component overhauls, including dismantling, inspection, repair, or replacement of parts

• Utilize forklifts, scissor lifts, and JLG lifts as required

Preferred Knowledge and Abilities:

• Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic schematics, and ladder diagrams
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems
• Ability to interpret and troubleshoot electrical and motor controls circuits
• Knowledge of electrical machinery control, including the ability to interpret logic and program programmable controllers
• Maintenance experience ranging from two to five years

Maintenance Coordinator

A leading global organization in the food processing and packaging industry is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support plant operations and improve equipment reliability. This role plays an important part in coordinating maintenance activities, troubleshooting production equipment, and supporting automation and process improvements to maximize equipment uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and address corrective maintenance needs during production shifts

• Troubleshoot failures involving production equipment, mechanical systems, PLCs, and drives

The Supervisor of Ride Maintenance assists in performing and leading assigned Union crew of mechanics in monitoring, maintenance and repair of rides and attractions as assigned. Performs related duties as required.

• Assists in performing and leading assigned crew in monitoring, maintenance and repair of rides and attractions as assigned. Performs related duties as required.
• Supervises subordinate crew members with the assistance of the foreperson. Supervisory duties include training, scheduling, direct instruction, assigning, reviewing and planning work, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, allocating personnel, and takes corrective action on employee issues. Timekeeping of employee schedules with in the Cedar Point timekeeping system.
• Reviews the work of subordinates for effectiveness and efficiency; Establishes and maintains a professional, trained, and motivated staff through effective implementation of performance and development programs. Uses effective communication to ensure all understand the expectations of the department. Utilizes company guidelines to hold those accountable when necessary.
• Develops and implements short/long range ride maintenance/repair plans. Assists in performing winter overhaul and year-long preventive maintenance of assigned rides/vehicles. Assists in monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing rides/vehicles during operating season. Keeps Area Manager informed of all maintenance problems/areas of concern. Assists other departments on repairs/maintenance projects as appropriate.
• Assists Area Manager in preparing department budget. Assists with ordering parts and materials as needed, ensuring compliance with the budgetary allocations. Assists in maintaining adequate inventory.
• Ensures the proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all assigned equipment. Conducts safety meetings and safety inspections of equipment. Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints from associates and guests regarding ride safety and maintenance.
• Hires candidates for open positions to effectively and strategically grow the assigned team. Ensures the new hire has the knowledge and resources to perform their job to the best of their ability.

• Vocational/technical training preferred.
• 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems. Ability to use meters, gauges, measuring devices, cutting torch, mechanic's tools, various other hand and power tools. 
• Preferred knowledge in Microsoft Office, Maintenance Connection, UKG, and JDE.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
