THE POSITION We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Lead Software Engineer position for our Platform Engineering team which is responsible for designing and building tools and workflows for our internal software engineering teams. These systems will allow them to build and deploy applications effortlessly, allowing them to focus on building business functionality for their users. Your work will directly support enterprise-wide initiatives, helping teams across the organization streamline operations, improve reliability, and accelerate delivery. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems and collaborating with other engineers to create highimpact internal platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience enabling IT organizations to work more efficiently, standardize best practices, and reduce friction across the development lifecycle. This includes creating reusable components, automation frameworks, and platform capabilities that empower our engineering teams.
KEYS TO THE POSITION
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering
- Proficient in Python with experience building tools using widely adopted libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Requests, BeautifulSoup, FastAPI, and SQLAlchemy
- Skilled in packaging, testing, and deploying Python applications using tools like pytest, setuptools, and Docker
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native applications using AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation), with a strong grasp of scalable and secure architecture principles.
- Experience designing and operating DevOps platforms including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins), and container orchestration using ECS or EKS - Experience designing and operating monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools (e.g., OpenSearch, Open Telemetry, CloudWatch, X-Ray)

General facility maintenance and repair duties as directed. Pneumatic and direct digital control experience. Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration including ice machines. - 25% Preventive maintenance duties: Typical but not limited to filter changes, coil cleaning, and belt changes. Ice machine cleaning and service.
- 10% Compliance with regulatory responsibilities: Ensure appropriate function is maintained to comply with various regulatory agencies. Refrigerant reclaiming, and Fire barrier repair.
- 10% Quality Improvement: to look for ways to improve the patient/visitor experience. Update heating and cooling systems. Modifying or move HVAC components or sensors for improve comfort.

Provides Planned Maintenance (PM), safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service to general and various specialized diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, as assigned by the Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the mission, vision and core values of Trinity Health and the Ministry Organization in leadership behaviors, practices and decisions.
Performs PM procedures on multiple types of general and specialized clinical equipment.
Performs PM procedures using manufacturer’s recommendations, standards or code requirements, as well as industry acceptable processes as guidelines.
Performs corrective maintenance procedures including diagnosing problems using thermodynamic, electronic/electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or other sciences and documents results of activities performed to comply with all regulatory and standard requirements.
Notifies equipment users, CE Managers, and Regional Director of repair status and delays as necessary.
Interacts with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing PM procedures while minimizing interference to hospital departments.
Determines need for replacement parts and supplies, selects the most cost effective source, and submits properly completed parts request using established policies and guidelines.
Completes corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation per policy.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of an Associates of Applied Sciences Degree in related field of medical electronics, electronic technology or equivalent military or related training required. CBET certification preferred.
Three to five years experience or equivalent, performing corrective and planned maintenance on medical devices and/or clinical support equipment.
Must have a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Working knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools and test equipment specific to the field. Ability to train CE associates on use and application of select test equipment.
Must have knowledge and understanding of OSHA, NFPA, The Joint Commission, CAHO, EOC, FDA and other specific regulations and standards pertaining to clinical equipment service and repair.

Functions under the administrative guidelines of the Department of Surgical Services, and under the medical direction of the attending anesthesiologists of the Department of Anesthesiology Responsibilities: 1.
This includes performance of history and physical, development of anesthesia plan of care, documentation of assessment and plan, explanation of care, risks and benefits to patient and family, assembly of equipment and drugs.
Meets annual departmental quality metrics for turnover times, on-time starts and QI submissions.
Attends continuing education and professional meetings, participates in institutional and departmental committees, and contributes to the clinical learning experience of other health care professionals.
Contributes to performance improvement.
Evaluates problem areas, plans and implements measures to assure improvement in patient outcomes, assists in collection of data and participates in Impact Care activities.
Maintains anesthesia records, Impact Care reports and other documents in a legible manner 5.
Provides anesthesia.
This includes performs ASA-approved checklist of equipment, provides safe environment for patient, administers anesthesia in accordance with the Department of Anesthesiology standards of care, places appropriate lines and monitors, adjusts care and notifies appropriate personnel in abnormal situations, transports patient at the end of the case, reports pertinent information, documents anesthesia care.
Education Requirements: ● Completion of a Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
Licensure/Certification Requirements: ● Certified or eligible for certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist.
● Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
Professional Experience Requirements: ● No prior experience required.
