Position Overview

The ICT Engineer will play a key role in planning, designing, and implementing network infrastructure, communications technologies, and intelligent building systems. • Supports the implementation of the City's communications program, including development of print publications, web content, social media, cable TV programming, and news media.
• Maintains, recommends improvements, and implements changes to the City Constituent Customer Service Portal. Coordinates functions with software vendor and trains City staff on the effective use of the software.
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding City and City programs: screens and prioritizes inquiries, ensuring that questions are responded to by distributing requests to the appropriate City staff or by providing service directly.
• Assists in Council communications including preparation of staff memos, Council presentations and public speaking points.

• Assists in researching, writing, publishing, and distributing media releases, City newsletter articles, fact sheets, and public education materials related to City programs and events.
• Drafts and designs brochures, flyers, invitations, and other documents to promote the City and inform the public.
• Conducts story research, script writing, and on-camera stand-up appearances for City produced videos and City cable news programming.
• Writes, edits, proofreads, and uploads content for the City's website including integration of text, images and video.
• Posts and monitors City social media sites and monitors external sites related to City interests.
• Provides planning and logistical support for events such as ribbon cuttings, dedications, and public appearances of City officials and community outreach events.
• Conducts special research projects as needed.

• Serves as backup Public Information Officer during emergencies and disasters working within the City's Emergency Operations Plan.

Knowledge of

• Microsoft Office software and illustration and layout programs such as InDesign.
• Media outlets and distribution protocols and AP style writing.
• General knowledge of municipal services and functions.

• Excellent written communication and ability to quickly produce newsletters, flyers, brochures, and other documents that are attractive and informative for the target audience.
• The use of web-based communication and social media for communicating with the public.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Associate degree in communications, media, graphic design, marketing, videography, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: Three years' experience working in a similar or related position or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in written communications, video production, media relations, development of social media content, and desktop publishing. Knowledge of local government functions preferred.
• Or: In place of the above requirements, the incumbent may possess any combination of relevant education and experience which would demonstrate the individual's knowledge, skill, and ability to proficiently perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.

Machines, Tools and Equipment Used: Work involves computer use and audio/visual equipment (such as digital photo and video cameras).

Physical Demands: Work involves computer use, and occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds such as audio-visual equipment and tables.

Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in an office setting and at other public settings for community meetings. May be required to attend evening and weekend meetings.

Position Summary: Responsible for executing efforts to manage IT Rooms (IDF's and MDF's) throughout the Client's site. The resource must collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to ensure efforts are successful.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Responsible for executing day-to-day operational and project tasks for IDFs and MDFs.
• Responsibilities include executing efforts in IDF's and MDF's relating to LVC, space, power, and cooling.
• Assists IT room remediation team with project tasks and provides day two support for LVC remediations.
• Works with local real estate services and engineering to address any power or cooling deficiencies.
• Works with appropriate teams to address security concerns regarding IDFs and MDFs.
• Recommends and implements cable plant infrastructure solutions to resolve issues.
• Responsible for cleaning out IT rooms as needed to bring rooms to a serviceable condition.
• Performs port scrubs in IDF/MDF room.
• Decommissioning and coordinating removal of legacy equipment from IT rooms.
• Creates/Updates Rack Elevations for IDFs/MDFs.
• Manage tasks assigned in ServiceNow, SharePoint, and in project software
• Performs related duties, as required.

Job Summary: Set up and process components on Manual and/or CNC machines in the disciplines such as Lathes, Mills, Grinders and Hone. Machinists will be responsible for the safe and proper use of general equipment, tooling, fixturing, hand-measuring and special precision measurement tools daily. The machinist will be required to work closely, respectfully and professionally with their Subject Matter Experts, Leads, Peers, Cell Level Teams from all disciplines of the Machine Shop. The machinist will be responsible for comprehending the Instructions for Continuous Airworthiness, understanding and performing efficient set-ups and repairs on components are successfully compliant, completed while operating in a safe, clean, organized environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Log into each job in workflow, assist in the set-up and running of jobs as an identified trainee to include identifying programs that match paperwork, assisting measuring component, assisting double checking each step prior to running component.
• Ensure inspection of tools are within proper calibration at all times of use, including but not limited to: micrometers, gage blocks, bore gauges.
• Ensure proper paperwork is compliant and verified (Serial Number, Part Number, Correct Operation, Correct repair information) to include documentation of maintenance (ICA's), rework travelers, blank travelers.
• Maintain basic equipment and work area on a daily basis in a clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain personal PPE and follow overall Safety requirements.
• Perform daily tool control review/sign offs of tools/toolboxes, cleaning and organizing duties.

Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certification. Technical education is preferred.

Experience: 0-12+ months knowledge/entry level in machining to include any of the following disciplines: ID/OD/Jig/Surface Grinding Hone; CNC Mill, CNC Lathe; Manual Mill, Manual Lathe.

0-12+ months exposure/entry level in machine programming to include any of or a combination of the following: G-Code/M-Code, Fanuc, Siemens, and Haas Controls.

Basic equipment knowledge of any of the following: Precision Measurement Tools, Hand Tools, Manual Mills, Okuma, Haas, Matsuura, Centroid, Hermle, DMG, Fryer (Lathe and Mill); Kellenberger, Studer, Usach, DeVlieg, Moore Jig Grinder, Sunnen Hone and Fryer (Grind).

Equipment experience of any of the following: Precision Measurement Tools, Hand Tools, Manual Mills, Okuma, Haas, Matsuura, Centroid, Hermle, DMG, Fryer (Lathe and Mill); Kellenberger, Studer, Usach, DeVlieg, Moore Jig Grinder, Sunnen Hone and Fryer (Grind) Preferred.

• Ability to read, comprehend dimensional, documented instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math skills efficiently and accurately.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to aerospace industry is preferred.
• Blueprint reading, knowledge of GD&T, basic machine operation and knowledge of cutting tools is preferred.
